Chapter 17

ALEXIS TOOK SHOLA TO HIS HOUSE FIRST. He laid the girl on his bed. He went to the kitchen, boiled water, put it in the basin, and got a towel to clean her.

"Where did you go, Shola? Why do you look so tired?" Alexis stared at her. He frowned because there were dry red spots on her face and neck, as well as on her arms. He brought his face closer to take a closer look at the red marks attached to the girl. Huh? It's like blood? Shola, who are you really? Why are you so mysterious?" He wiped it off.

"Hmmm!" Shola muttered as she felt the warmth of the towel on her cheek.

"I'm just going to clean you, Shola," he thought as she woke up to what he had done.

As he wipes the girl's face. Alexis couldn't help but feel something strange about himself because of the beauty in front of him. And if he's a bad person, he can do whatever he wants to her. Because he knows that there are no objections in this situation. But he restrained himself, even though he wanted to kiss her red lips. He had girlfriends before, and he loved them. But his emotion right now is priceless to her. He knew in himself that he had been hit by her. What deepened his feelings for her was her innocence in everything.

After he wiped her face, neck, and arms, Alexis looked at Shola's feet; they were barefoot, so they were dirty and had small wounds. He cleaned it. Shola felt someone holding her leg; she wanted to open her eyes but couldn't. She felt tickled, so her legs went up, and the stolen clothes went up to her thighs.

Alexis frowned at the sight of Shola's thigh. He took it and examined it carefully. "What is it for? Can it be self-defense? It's beautifully made and polished." He thinks a good sword or knife maker made it.

Alexis looked at what the knife tied because it was tight. He wanted to remove it, but he was having second thoughts because he could touch the girl's smooth thigh. He could feel the dryness in his throat. "It's needs to take away so she can sleep comfortably." No choice really; he will remove it. He closed his eyes and slowly felt the rope. When Alexis felt the softness of her skin, his breathing hitched. To be able to remove it quickly, he opened his eyes, realizing that he was about to leave in a hurry because he might not be able to hold it any longer. When was the last time he had s*x with someone? It was a year ago. He was unable to look at other women because he was busy with work. And because of his hard work, he was promoted quickly, and now he is a captain. Alexis went straight to the kitchen he prepared food so that Shola would have something to eat right away when she woke up. He makes chicken soup. Fried mixed vegetables and others

After cooking, he took a bath. When he about to left the living room, someone knocked on the door."Huh? Who could that be? I didn't expect anyone to come here today." The person outside kept knocking."Wait a minute, who is that?"

"Brother, me, and Mama," replied the one outside.

"Why did they come here now?" Alexis hesitate to open the door. Because Shola was inside his room.

"Alexis, son. Open this door; we have something for you," said the mother.

Alexis was reluctant because of Shola; they were sure to see her. Where will he hide her because they know he's a good boy and he doesn't bring women to his house?

"Brother!" shouted the sister.

"Yes, I'm coming." He did nothing but open it.

When he opened."Brother, what are you hiding, huh?" The sister quickly went inside and seemed to be looking for something.

"Hiding? What is it?" Alexis followed his sister.

"It took you so long to open the door for us; my hand is already hooked," she complained.

"What else are you doing? Put it down." he helped his sister to bring it down. "Why did you come to visit suddenly?"

"Mama, misses you, huh?"

Alexis looked at her mother, who was smiling."Alexis you haven't visited us in a long time. So we thought we would visit you."

"Mom, sit down first." He guided the mother to the couch."I'm just busy at work."

"Work, or a woman, brother?"

"Stop it, Amber."

"Hmph! Guilty!"

"I'm at the right age; even if I flirt with girls, get it!" He opened his eyes.

"Amber, put the vegetables we brought to your brother's refrigerator."

"Mama, why me? Brother can do that; I am a guest," she refused.

"You're just lazy, Amber."

"I'm tired of carrying your vegetables, brother."

"Okay I will do it," said their mother.

"Mama, I put them in later, and they are still fresh," Alexis said to the mother, who was about to stand up.

"Yup, brother, it's fresh from our backyard, so it's super fresh. Brother. I want to sleep first, can I use your bed?" To be honest, she's not sleepy at all. She want to find something inside her brother room.

"Huh, ca-can't!" he stammered at his sister's said.

Amber grinned."Brother,

I think there is something inside your room. Why do you talk like that, that you stutter? Hmm,  you hide somebody, right?" she just catches the older brother.

Alexis was speechless.

"Mama, there must be a woman in brother room; let me see."

She about to stand up.

"Hep-hep, you are not allowed to enter my room," Alexis told his sister.

"Brother, huh. I used to enter your room. I smell something fishy, you know."

"Sit down; maybe you want me to handcuff you, huh?" He threatened his sister.

"Mama, Big Brother, oh!"

"Amber, what did your brother say?"

"Sit down!"

"Then you follow?"

"Okay, fine!" She sat down again with a snort.

"Good girl." Alexis has a smile of his lips.

"Alexis, who is in your room?" suddenly asked the mother.

"Mama?"

"You thought you got through, brother."

"Shut up!"

"Fine!"

"Is there, son?"

Alexis couldn't lie to his mother."Yes, Mom."

"Mama, you're going to have a daughter-in-law and a grandchild!" Amber said happily.

"Hey! Amber, that's what's on your mind right away. Marriage first, then daughter-in-law and grandchildren."

"Brother, are you serious with her? And who's that woman? Do I know her?"

"No!"

"Thank you, and I heard the word marriage from you, son."

"But, Mama, that will take a long time."

"Why, Brother?"

"She's not my girlfriend."

Amber stood up."What? She's sleeping with you, but she's not your girlfriend. I must talk to her?"

"No, I never sleep with her. I'm just bringing her here now. Sit down, you overcome mom if you can react."

"Hmmm! Ma, what do you think? Do you believe what brother said?" she sit next to the mother.

"Your big brother doesn't lie; I believe in him."

"You're the only one who doesn't believe me, Amber."

"Brother, I believe you too, that you are a good man, but you brought a woman here she's not your girlfriend at all. I don't believe."

"It's up to you; as long as Mama believes in me, I'll be okay."

At that moment, Shola woke up."Huh? Where am I?" She looked around and frowned because the whole room was different. She thought about the last thing that happened to her before she passed out. She smiled because she knew it was Alexis she saw before her vision went dark. She felt very light and had no obstacles. She patted her thigh."Huh? My blade?" She even lifted her clothes to look, but nothing she saw made her stand up and quickly go to the door and open it. "Alexis," she called him.
