Chapter 10

SHOLA AWAKES FROM A DEEP SLEEP IS WAS ALREADY DARK.

"Huh, what's the time now? I slept too long." She said and was about to stand up when she heard a rustling from the kitchen. "Huh? What was that?" But she feels no fear, whatever it is.

"Ponso, are you sure about what you found out?"

"Yes, there is a lot of money hidden here in the Monticello mansion."

"Where are they hidden, Ponso?"

"He doesn't say anything; he said they looked for it too, but they didn't find it, but he's sure it's there, so let's go look for it, Moises."

"Okay, okay, Ponso, let's go upstairs; maybe the money is hidden there."

"Yes, Moises, when we get it, we will be rich; millions are hidden here and jewelry, but who knows maybe have more Monticello was a wealthy family."

"Yes, they are more wealthy than the Morale family."

The other man nodded. He agreed with what the friend said.

The two men became aggressive and stole the hidden wealth of the Monticellos.

Even Fernan Morale searched the Monticello estate but found nothing inside the mansion, even though he used high-tech search equipment. He also wanted to change the mansion, but he thought this was his gift to his friend Leiden Monticello.

"Ponso, isn't there a ghost here?" There is a fear in his voice.

"What? Hey Moises, does that mean you are still afraid of ghosts and believe in them?"

"No, Ponso, we just know; don't they say that when a person dies who has not been given justice, his soul is haunted?"

"Crazy, don't believe that kind of gossip, Moises; let's go."

The men move to the living room area.

Shola stood in front of the painting when the rustling sound was close to where she was.

The two men walked slowly. "Ponso, we can't continue this." Moises suddenly felt fear.

"You're a coward, Moises; we're here; are you going to back off?"

"Not really, Ponso, but I feel strange in this house."

"Oh, that comes out again, your spiritualist; you must think the million dollars are more important than that in your fear!"

They lit the stairs, and Moises light fell right on Shola.

"Ponso, ghost!" Moises doesn't know what to do.

"You're really crazy, Moises!"

Moises held his friend and pointed the flashlight he was holding to where his flashlight was pointing.

When Ponso's eyes lay on a woman who was standing, he said, "Mo... moises. Go... ghost!" In his fear, he dropped the flashlight he was holding because he knew who he had lit.

"Wh..." Shola said as the two men ran out. Well, she just wants to ask the two men who they are.

"Ahhh!" Both men shouted as they left the house.

"Huh? What happened? Why did they run and scream? They even called me a ghost? What was that?" Shola wonders. She stepped to where the flashlight was left by the two thieves and picked it up." They said there was money here? Maybe that's what they'll take. Why are they afraid of me?" Who wouldn't be afraid of her long, messy hair covering her face?

Shola pointed the light of the flashlight at the stairs, and she frowned because she seemed to see someone at the stairs. "Huh? Is there someone?" When she saw the shadow move up, Shola followed.

Shola put the mask back on her face, and as she was sleeping, it went back to her arm. She closes her eyes every time the mask clings to her face, but she still feels pain because the mask is sucking her blood and muscles. When the pain goes away, she opens her eyes. Bright surroundings met her vision as if her eyes had a light. She thought the mask was really strange and had to study what it could do. She thought the mask was powerful.

She looked around when, suddenly, a butterfly flew in front of her. She was about to touch it when it suddenly flew away from her. She was just standing there looking at the flying butterfly; it stopped as if it were waiting for her." Huh? Is she telling me something?" She stepped closer to the butterfly, and it flew again upstairs. Shola followed, and she saw the butterfly stopped in front of a door. She approached the room, opened it, and the butterfly entered and landed on the bed.

Shola just looked at it; she didn't know why she felt nervous this time. She took a deep breath before going inside.

This is her parents' room, where the wedding frame is still hanging on the head of the bed.

Since the death of the whole Monticello family, none of the people in Monticello have tried to enter it except those who are looking for wealth.

"What do you want to tell me?" She said while looking at the butterfly.

The butterfly flew to the wedding picture, and Shola came closer.

The butterfly went under, as if it were saying to remove the picture. Shola got what the butterfly meant and quickly brushed it off. After she took off the picture, she could see nothing but a white wall; no matter how she looked, there was nothing unusual about it.

The butterfly came to her and landed on his hand. "I touched the wall?" she said.

The butterfly flew again and landed on the wall. Shola obeyed what the butterfly wanted to convey and approached carefully.

Shola touched the wall where the butterfly landed, and suddenly it opened. "What?" she asked, surprised at what she saw.

Money, jewelry, and documents document all Monticello properties. Only a Monticello can open the wall; this is a high-tech vault that Leiden custom-made to be made abroad with their family's fingerprints; even though Shola was a baby at the time, it still copied her fingerprint. "I will restore this mansion, and Monticello will be resurrected in this town." Shola took money, knowing he would need it. "Tomorrow the blood of a Monticello will arise." She left the mansion because she felt hungry; she hadn't eaten yet.

PRECINCT 08

"Sir, aren't you going home yet?"

"I'm on my way home, Inspector Luna."

"I thought, Sir, you're going to work overtime again, eh?"

"I need to go home; my back suddenly hurts. I guess it's a sign that I'm getting old."

"Sir, that's the massage, or it's saying that you should get married because you're getting old." friend's joke

"Crazy, I'm going to leave you." He took his jacket. "Aren't you leaving too?"

He saluted Alexis and said, "I will follow you, sir."

"Let's go." He went out first.

As Shola walked towards the plaza, there were still shops open early. When a car stopped in front of her, she suddenly opened the driver's seat window.

"Wow, goddess of the night, Miss, how much?" said a man.

"Huh? Which one?"

"Gilbert, which one?" she said. You are the one we want, Miss Pretty."

"Pssttt! She's mine; shut up!" he turned to his companion. "A thousand, Miss, are you okay?"

Since Shola didn't know what he was saying, he walked away.

"Bro, she left you; maybe you offer low."

The man got down. "Hey! Miss, don't be rude; don't you know me? I'm the son of the mayor of this town!" he said angrily.

"Mayor?" Shola immediately remembered the man they met at the hospital.

It was a little dark, and the poles with lights on them were far away. Shola groped for the knife hidden in her thigh and prepared herself. She feels that she is in danger.

"Pretend you're a clean woman! How much do you want? And face me!" he said.

Shola took a deep breath and was about to face the man when they were hit by the lights of an oncoming car.

The man ran back to his car because the oncoming car might recognize him.

"Oh, why, bro?"

"There's a car coming; maybe he'll recognize me; let's go," he ordered.

Shola bowed down when the light hit her face.

"Miss, are you okay?" the driver asked Shola.

Shola's chest heaved because his voice was familiar, and she looked at who was talking.

"SHOLA, what are you doing here? I thought you had gone home?" Alexis immediately got out of his car.

Shola did not know what to say to the man.

"Come, I'll take you to your house."

"Huh wa..." Shola stopped talking. What excuse will she make to Alexis?

"What is it, Shola?"

Shola thought fast. "I'm just going to get something," she reasoned.

"Okay, I'll join you, and then I'll drop you off."

"I can't do it myself," she said. Isn't she not wanting to be with him? She just worried that he would find out where she was leaving.

"Shola, it's late; wait, who was that with you earlier?" because he saw someone behind the girl, so he asked.

"Huh? Nothing!"

Alexis doesn't believe what Shola said: "Like you're talking to him."

Shola looked at Alexis. She couldn't lie to him. "He was just asking how much he said."

"What? I'm really going to drop you off; maybe he'll come back to you."

"What does he mean?"

He didn't want to worry her, so he didn't say what the man wanted. "Let's go." Alexis held Shola's hand at the same time to get into his car. He needs to accompany her; maybe the man will come back to it.

Shola wanted to pull her hand away because electricity crawled up her arm.

Even Alexis felt the same, but he ignored it.

When they got on the car, Shola said, "Where is your house, Shola? You don't answer me every time I ask you."

They passed a restaurant, and Shola pointed to it.

"You live there?" Alexis asked, but he realized something: "Oh stupid me, you want to eat?"

Shola nodded first. "My pets are flying around inside my stomach." She even pointed to her tummy.

Alexis smiled at the gesture. He parked his car in front of the restaurant.

"Then let's feed them first, your pets; they might row in anger because of their hunger; they might even come out of your mouth and shout, "Feed me, feed me."

Shola laughed at what Alexis said.

Alexis steered at Shola; for him, she's the most beautiful woman he's ever seen.

Shola felt that Alexis looked at her. So she stopped laughing. And looked at him too.

Alexis smiles, "Let's eat first, might people say, I'm starving my girlfriend." It's okay for him to say she's his girlfriend, because Shola doesn't know what that means.

Shola nodded at Alexis with a smile.
