Melissa White X Victoria Sinclair

Damien left Victoria in the suite and went to the bathroom. The tension of the situation, combined with his growing curiosity and concern about his wife's strange behavior, compelled him to investigate. He found the medicine box in the cabinet, and his eyes fixated on the pills laid out before him. There was a bottle for headache, with small pills, and another bottle containing sleeping pills. Both bottles had similar-colored labels and looked very much alike, making it difficult to distinguish one from the other.

As he observed the nearly identical pills, a wicked smile formed on his lips. He knew Victoria was using the headache as an excuse to avoid dinner with Stefano and Melissa, and he was determined to make sure she didn't change her mind.

With the sleeping pill concealed in his hand, Damien grabbed a glass of water and returned to the room where Victoria lay on the bed, looking at him with gratitude in her eyes. He handed her the glass of water and the sleeping pill, pretending it was a headache remedy.

“I hope these reliefs your headache, dear,” Damien said with a gentle smile.

Victoria took the glass and the pill and thanked him. “You're so caring, Damien. Always taking care of me.”

Damien tenderly caressed Victoria's cheek. “It's nothing, love. I'm just upholding my marriage vows, remember? In sickness and in health.”

Victoria smiled, her eyes meeting Damien's. “You're the best husband I could ask for.”

Damien returned the smile. “And you, Victoria, are the best wife I could wish for.”

With words of affection exchanged, Damien knew he was getting closer to his goal. Victoria swallowed the sleeping pill with a sip of water and settled into bed. Damien knew the medication would soon take effect, and his wife would fall asleep.

“I'll do some work, but I'll be around,” Damien said, running his fingers through Victoria's hair. “If you need anything, just call.”

Victoria agreed, her eyes beginning to grow heavy. “A nap should help my headache.”

Damien nodded, giving her a gentle kiss on the forehead. “Rest well, my dear. You'll be feeling better by dinnertime.”

With Victoria already becoming drowsy, Damien left the room and returned to the living room. He knew he had an important task ahead: finding a way to uncover the truth behind Victoria's lies. However, his mind was filled with concerns about what she was hiding and how it could affect their marriage and his life. Damien sat in front of his laptop, determined to uncover the truth, and the medicine box was just the beginning of his quest.

Meanwhile, in the room next door, Victoria was falling into a deep slumber, unaware that her secret was about to be discovered. Her perfect plan to keep her identity hidden was slowly unraveling, and she had no idea how to prevent Damien from uncovering the truth. The sleeping pill Damien had given her was taking effect, leading her into a deep and restless sleep.

Damien watched with satisfaction as Victoria slept soundly, while he was prepared for the dinner with Stefano. He had achieved what he wanted, keeping his wife out of the way and ensuring she couldn't interfere with his plans. However, now he had a crucial task at hand: figuring out why Victoria was so deeply involved in his business. His marriage was at risk, and he was not willing to ignore the evidence before him.

After getting ready, Damien headed to the Osteria Francescana restaurant, where he would meet Stefano Graviano. The restaurant was known for its haute cuisine and innovative dishes, and the atmosphere was fitting for the important meeting ahead. Stefano was waiting for Damien when he arrived, and he immediately noticed Victoria's absence.

“Where is your wife, Damien?” Stefano asked, disappointment evident in his voice.

Damien smiled indifferently. “My wife wasn't feeling well and couldn't make it. Apparently, she has a severe headache.”

Stefano nodded but couldn't hide his disillusionment. “That's a shame. I was looking forward to meeting Mrs. Ashford.”

Damien didn't want to waste any time and got straight to the point. “What about Melissa White? Where is she?”

Stefano looked around the restaurant, as if expecting Melissa to appear at any moment. However, there was no sign of her. “I haven't heard from her yet. I'm starting to worry.”

Damien sighed and asked them to sit down. They ordered their meals, but Melissa's absence still loomed over the conversation.

An hour passed, and there was no sign of Melissa. Stefano was visibly uncomfortable, and Damien realized it was time to act. He knew that with the evidence he had, it was better to show Stefano what he had discovered.

“Stefano,” Damien began, taking out his phone and showing a picture of Victoria in Milan, “do you recognize this woman?”

Stefano looked at the photo and furrowed his brow. “She looks like Melissa, but Melissa is a redhead.”

Damien smiled wickedly. He quickly edited the photo to add a reddish tint to Victoria's hair and showed it to Stefano again.

Stefano exclaimed in surprise, “That's Melissa White!”

Damien nodded. “Actually, this is my wife, Victoria Ashford.”

Stefano looked bewildered. “What the hell is going on, Damien? Why is your wife involved in these dealings?”

Damien shrugged, appearing genuinely confused. “I don't know, Stefano. I was blindsided by this revelation. But with your help, I intend to uncover the truth.”

Stefano looked uncomfortable. “I don't want to get involved in this, Damien. It seems like an internal issue between you and your wife. I don't want to be a part of it.”

Damien wasn't willing to accept a refusal. “Stefano, you're involved now, whether you like it or not. From this moment on, we're partners in this. You've helped me in a way to discover the truth, and now we need to find out why my wife was pretending to be Melissa White. And if there's any evidence that Victoria is involved with the authorities, we need to eliminate it.”

Stefano remained unconvinced. He was clearly hesitant to get further involved. “I really don't want to be a part of this, Damien. I'm sorry.”

With that, Stefano withdrew and left the table. He walked away, leaving Damien alone in the restaurant. Damien knew he would have to deal with the situation on his own and was willing to do whatever it took to uncover the truth.

Back in the hotel suite, Victoria slept soundly, unaware that her secret had just been discovered. Damien had a series of questions that needed answers, and he had no more time for games or secrets. His marriage hung by a thread, and he was determined to find the truth, no matter the cost.
