Camellias - Part II
Her unyielding sword swung through the flesh of the unwitting scums in the fort where she was once imprisoned. She was fierce and mighty on her feet as she danced across the fort's stone floor, slaying anything and everything in her path. She had only one goal in mind: to behead Malcolm. Even though she didn't receive any aid from Cora, she was unyielding in her human form as well. The fire of vengeance driving her to her goal, the rage for avenging her moon-blessed glorifying the sharpness of her swords. But he was already gone by the time she arrived in his chamber, drenched in fresh blood. And she knew exactly where!

Aiden sat on his swivel chair behind the piles of paperwork. He still had a lot to do even after working nonstop for hours.
"Come in!" As someone knocked on the door, his gruff voice said, Faye, walked in with a smile on her lips as the doors were pushed open.
"You wished to see me?" She timidly asked and he smiled softly
"Come here," he urged softly, and she approached him. He motioned for her to sit, and she took a seat in front of him on the plush chair.
"There is something I wish to inform you about." As his eyes scanned the paper in his hand, he said. Even though he didn't notice, she nodded. She patiently waited for him to explain why he had summoned her, but he got distracted by work.
"You seem to be overworked and exhausted." Her timid voice said.
"Yes, I am."
"You should take a break."
"I will, once I finish this." She lifted her head as he spoke.
"Let me help you," she said as her eyes scanned the piles of paperwork.
"No, let it be."
"Let me assist you so we can finish this quickly and we can nap together later." He smiles as she takes a stack of paper and begins to read the content.
"Are you sure you know what to do?" He inquired, his voice tinged with amusement. She shook her head and smiled sheepishly.
"No," she said, her face flushed as his chest vibrated with laughter.
"Here, let me show you." He took the stack of papers and separated some of them into separate stacks. He held them out in front of her and said,
"These only require approval. You go over them, and if you believe their proposal is beneficial, you sign and approve it. If you believe it isn't, you decline."
"Am I allowed to do that?" She inquired quietly, and he responded with a reassuring smile.
"You have full authority to sign these documents."
"And done!" She smiled as she placed the last piece of paper on the table.
"I told you it would be easy if I assisted." She said this while turning her gaze to the male resting comfortably on the couch. After a while, they had moved to his office's large couch. Aiden's suit jacket lay on the couch handle, the top few buttons of his shirt undone, his hair tousled, and his eyes fatigued.
"Yes, you did, thank you very much." He kissed her cheek before wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her into his warmth
"My parents are coming to visit," He informed and her eyes widened
"Why?"
"They wish to discuss about the coronation."
She remained silent for a few moments as she pondered her thoughts, growing anxious
"Do you know our realms were peaceful a few centuries ago?" She lifted her head to look at him, as she said.
"Yes?"
"I believe I know why, and I wish to restore peace. However, I'm not sure if what I'm thinking is justified. I'm not sure if the decision I'll be proposing today will be welcomed. Whether or not it will benefit our people." She stared at him as he said.
"I am always here for you, no matter what decision you make." He smiled at her words,
"Let's go, my parents should be here any moment now!" He said as he pulled her arm gently, She smiled and they got off of the couch and walked out of the door.
"Your Highness!" He stopped when he heard Liam calling him. He frowned as he turned around to face him.
"There is something you need to know!"
"Anything wrong?" Faye asked.
"You go get dressed, I'll be right back." Aiden kissed her forehead and she nodded her head. They walked into Aiden's office as Faye left towards her chamber.
"Tell me, Liam. What is it?"
"Zedan is dead!"

"The introduction ceremony to the nation I believe, should take place next week, followed by the coronation the following week. We can't afford to wait any longer." King Bruce responded curtly. They'd arrived about an hour before, and everyone was seated in the packhouse's conference hall. The King and Queen sat at the head of the table, with Faye and Aiden to their right, and the Beta and Gamma couples beside them.
"It would be difficult to complete all of the preparations in such a short period of time, but I believe we can pull it off." They nodded as Beta Nicholas said.
"So that settles it. We will inform the pack and Auhesraivia about this after this meeting." King Bruce concluded the meeting and was about to stand up when Aiden meddled.
"I would like to say something." Bruce sat down and nodded his head, allowing him to express his thoughts.
"Over the years, our Kingdoms have been through many conflicts and wars, and we have lost many brave warriors and innocent citizens. Even though there is some peace now, Drinealia still has many enemies, and the people must live every day in fear of an attack. Auhesraivia also lives in constant fear of being attacked. After all, they had done, this was not how our past monarchs had envisioned us living. King Albert and Queen Evangelina spent the majority of their lives working to ensure freedom and harmony. They had convinced majority of the realms to sign a treaty so that the people could live in peace and their children could grow up to have a brighter future. Their sole goal in life was to provide tranquility and a beautiful life for future generations. But their assassination, their noble goal was ended too and the realms fell apart, fighting each other and causing more bloodshed. But now I wish to establish peace, I wish to achieve what they died for. And I'd like to begin in the same way that they had done." He paused and glanced at the faces sitting around the table. Taking a deep breath he said,
"I wish to bind the Demons and Wolves. I wish to bind Drinealia and Auhesraivia together as one. I will be stepping down from the throne and handing it over to its sole heir, Princess Seraphina!" At his words the atmosphere of the hall changed drastically, evil desires saturating the air. At that very moment, a massive explosion ripped through the wall on the side of the main door of the conference hall. They all ducked in an attempt to avoid the impact. The windows' panes shattered, and they heard a growling voice say,
"After all, I've done over the centuries, you believe you can destroy my life's work just like that?"
