20⁰ It will be love part 3

Winter Kingdom

Cassian.

I put my hand in my pocket but felt nothing to indicate an object, I searched all the pockets of the dress, but found nothing.

- The key...! - I said taking my hand out of my pocket.

- Don't tell me you had the courage to lose it? - he asked in an altered voice.

- I had no courage at all, she decided to venture into the greenhouse! -I answered looking around on the floor.

- And now! - she said and, in desperation, flailed her arms, beating her body. -Damn!

- Well, well, well, a queen spoke nasty words. - I said, drawing her attention back to me.

- Will she complain to me about the words I say, is she the same as all men? Where in a woman's mouth should come only elegant words. - He walked up to me and came face to face with me.

His audacity to look into my face without flinching or turning away, made my body feel pleasurable sensations unknown to me. And as much as we already had a small distance between us, the desire to shorten it even more was enormous, and that's what I did. Making her let out a startled moan that made my whole body tremble, it wasn't from fright or cold. It was simply an immense desire to kiss her intensely, to press your body to mine as if we wanted to join together reciprocally.

- Let go of me. - I said, pushing her hands against my chest.

- Why should I let you go? You're not comfortable in my arms. - I asked as I stroked her face, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, which insisted on being in front of her face.

- I'm a married woman. - she said in a whisper, more to herself than to me, who, if I hadn't been focused on her, wouldn't have heard what she had said.

She was right, we were both married, and besides, our kingdoms were once enemies due to a... betrayal!

Against all my gut I let her go, with a huge pain in my chest. I was afraid at that moment when I let her out of my embrace, I felt that there would be no more.

Am I feeling that feeling, that I swore I would never feel again? The word for it is... Love! Such a word there is no longer in my mouth nor in my thoughts.

- We need to leave. - she said without looking at my face.

Did she love her husband? I thought, looking at her, who had lost the courage to look at me and stare.

- Let's look for the part we were in," I said, going to one side and she to the other.

Minutes passed and nothing came of the key, the silence was agonizing, you could hear the crickets singing, the frogs with their mating sounds.

- You will no longer address me? How long will we remain in this deep silence? - he said, tired of his childish attitude.

- We have nothing to talk about. - you said without even raising your head to look at where I was standing.

- You were behaving like a spoiled child.

- And how do you think you are behaving? - he said, walking over to me.

- I've done nothing to compromise your honor.

- I don't want to talk anymore, I shouldn't be here in the first place. I propose we continue...

Suddenly she stops talking and walks with hurried steps to the door, bending down, picking up a key from the floor. Without saying anything, she puts the key in the lock and turns it.

Click. The door was opened, she stopped in place, at that moment I hoped she would turn her face to me, a smile appeared on my lips... but she remained still, the smile slowly faded as I watched her take the first step... leaving without telling me... goodbye!

I remained paralyzed looking at the open door, moved by disappointment and hatred for her being impotent with me. I got up and went outside, closing the door, with quick steps to see if they could find her.

- Hey, wait a minute. - I yelled as I came through the tree.

She stopped, staring at me, until I got close to her.

- What do you want?

That was a great question, going out after her and when I got her close I didn't know what I was going to say.

- Why did you follow me? I don't have anything else to say.

After all that conversation, where I kindly answered everything that was asked. And now I am being treated with... indifference!

- Remember when you said you would do anything to keep me from calling the guards?

- Yes," she answered, her voice faltering.

- Since you would do anything to keep me from calling the guards... I want a kiss from you! - When I heard what he said, I was surprised at myself. I didn't know what possessed me to ask for a kiss from her, but the desire to taste her lips was immense.

I saw that she was quite surprised by what I said. I was too, with the way this is going. But out of the blue she started laughing right in my face.

- What do you think I am? You must be out of your mind, did you lose some screws while riding? Look, if you want, I can help you find your wits. - he said, still laughing.

This only made me angrier.

- Then you can get ready, because I'm going to call the guards and don't consider running away. - I said, already starting to walk to the side of the border.

- You are rude, arrogant and perverted. How dare you ask me such a thing, knowing that I am married? You're married too, that's adultery, have you no shame? - now she is even angrier.

- Thanks for the compliments, but if you wanted to offend me, I have to say that I didn't succeed. I've been called worse things. - I said, laughing at her face.

She kept walking back and forth without saying a word, and it was getting on my nerves. Just as I was about to speak to her again, I was surprised to see her run off, heading straight for the forest.

Leaving me behind, unresponsive, I saw that she sneaked past the guards. That's why they didn't see her.

I have to send more guards to the border, if she can get through without being seen, so can the enemies and that is something I don't want, I already have enough problems to solve, I don't need any more.

But if I find her again, she will not escape me. I'll get what I want, I've always gotten everything I wanted and I won't get it now. But I hope that what I am feeling is just a moment.

I'm afraid it's something else.
