18⁰ It will be love part 1

Winter Kingdom

Cassian

Few women give importance to flowers, their attention is directed to shiny objects like gold, everything that shines is valuable to them. But this is the second woman I have the pleasure to meet, who admires something that does not serve to contribute to her beauty, for she does not use flowers to put in a crown, nor in shoes, hairstyle or dresses. Nothing of the sort, she uses live flowers grown. Today, because it is the day I am most reminded of my late mother, the memories come messing up my mind. Another memory revives in my thoughts.

Reminder online:

 — Mom, what do you want for your birthday? — I asked entering her room.

— I want whatever you choose," she answered, smiling and finished getting ready for the lunch she would have at her celebration in the castle garden.

  — You don't even know what I'm going to buy for you and you already said you'd like it. — I asked, smiling.

 — My dear, everything that comes from you will please me. — he communicated, crushing me in a hug.

 — Mom, you're going to kill me with that bear hug," I complained, trying to get out.

— I'm a real big man.

— Sorry my big man. — he said laughing and opening the door for us to leave.

We headed for the garden, which was the most beautiful part of the castle, with its many different colored flowers.

 — Go play with your friends, Cassian. — she said as she sat down with her friends around the table.

I bickered until I got tired, then I decided to go to lunch, I noticed that many had already eaten and others had not. I sat at the table savoring everything I liked. While I ate my mother got gifts from everything that was there, I was excited, I wanted her to check mine too that I ordered a dear go buy. I ran out like a fierce horse to the servants' wing to talk to the palace ruler so that he could give me my present.

— Alisson?

 — I entered his room called by him, an old man, he was about to retire from his post.

— Yes, my little prince. — he answered.

— I'm a big prince, not a small one. — I retorted with a grump because everyone thinks I'm small.

  — Oh, I'm sorry, my great prince, the one who spoke is no longer here. Tell me what I should honor your benevolent presence with. — he asked.

— I came to get what I ordered you to buy for my mother. — I answered.

— Oh! What a head of mine, dear, I should have already delivered it to you. — I said opening a cabinet in the corner of the room.

It was taking a long time to deliver the present.

— Alisson, where is it? — I asked.

— My boy, I'm not finding your gift," he said turning to me.

 — You lost it? — I asked sadly.

— Don't worry we'll find it, I promise. — he said, turning back to look.

A little annoyed by the situation, I started to look too, the more I helped, the faster I could find it.

- Nothing yet, Alisson. - I questioned.

- Nothing, boy, I don't know where I put it, I'm sorry. - he said.

Even though I'm sad about the situation, I understand that everyone sometimes forgets where they put the object.

- I understand that yours is too old to remember," I said in a joking tone so that he wouldn't feel bad.

- I'm really sorry," he asked.

- Don't worry, it happens. - I comforted him.

- And now what will you give the queen?

- When it's time to improvise, I'm the master of improvisation. - I jokingly replied, leaving his room, trying to hide my sadness.

I went back to the garden where everyone was chatting happily, I went straight into the garden without dialoguing with anyone, I was ashamed to be the only one not to offer a gift on this special day.

I sat down on the bench sadly, I tried to be strong, but I let a tear slip from my face, but I quickly wiped it away when I felt the presence of a person behind me.

- What happened, my dear?" my mother asked, appearing in front of me and crouching down to my height.

I wondered if I should tell her what happened, I didn't want her to think that I forgot your birthday present.

- I went after your present that I bought in my room, but I don't know where I put it. I'm sorry! - I said, omitting the part that Alisson missed.

- Don't worry, my boy, this happens sometimes," he spoke affectionately.

- I promise to give another gift. - I said decisively.

- If you want to give me something valuable, take the flower you like the most," he said, getting up and turning to where the guests were.

I walked around the whole garden looking for any flower that caught my attention. This day was fun because my mother decided to create a tournament of who found the most beautiful flower for her to choose, and to be fair she would not see whose flower she found.

Offline souvenir:

- What will you choose next? - I asked, and again she scanned the various flowers with her gaze.

- This one is yellow.

- This one is from the Nenu Kingdom: Known to be a peaceful kingdom, the inhabitants are of average structure, so they are hired by the Billabong kingdom, they are the nesters who dug the holes. In their kingdom in salt water a flower called laughter is born, when it feels threatened. Nooo! - I screamed when I realized that Bella was about to touch the flower.

- What? Why did you scream like that? - she asked, collecting her frightened arm.

- These flowers called laughter, when you perceive that you are being threatened by being too close to them, a yellow gas is released causing whoever is nearby to inhale the substance, which causes forced laughter, which, if the person doesn't retreat in time, can cause death.

- What! A simple flower leaves. - she said, stepping away from the flower.
