You are really still a virgin?

You are really still a virgin?
“You are still a virgin? No way.”
“Wait… you are serious?” The blonde girl covered her mouth, staring at Carissa. “You are really still a virgin?”
“Um… is that wrong?” Carissa asked, her voice unsure.
The girls around her burst into laughter.
They made it sound like saving yourself was something to laugh at.
Carissa did not know what to think. Was she the one stuck in the past, or were they just too loose?
All she wanted was to leave that place.
“Is there even such a thing as dating without sex these days?” Meisya asked again.
Carissa felt stuck there with no way out.
“Maybe she is still in the early stage with Chaka, that is why nothing has happened yet,” the short-haired girl said, a cigarette resting between her fingers. “You know him. He does not just sleep with girls.”
Fica.
“Yuki said Chaka is good in bed, but Bian is better. That is why she left him.”
Carissa said nothing.
The girls laughed again, like they were enjoying every second of it.
These girls were nothing like the ones she met last week. She had no idea how Chaka even knew them. She was stuck at a table with them, while Chaka was somewhere else with the guys.
Being away from him made everything worse. She barely understood what they were talking about. She felt out of place, like she did not belong there.
“Even though Chaka is richer and better looking,” Adira said, not holding back. “Bian looks like a drug addict. Skinny and dirty.”
From what they said, Carissa started to understand what happened between Chaka and Yuki.
Fica leaned closer, and the others followed, closing the space between them.
“They said Chaka can be too controlling. Gets jealous easily. Very possessive,” she said in a low voice.
“Hey, do not scare Carissa like that. She might not want to date him anymore,” Meisya said, finally noticing Carissa again.
Carissa gave a small, forced smile.
Adira picked up her iced coffee and took a sip. “All my exes were possessive too. That is normal. It is just that Yuki preferred Bian. Chaka is busy with campus stuff. He does not have time. Unlike Bian, who does nothing and sticks to her all the time.”
Carissa started to notice something.
Adira always spoke in Chaka’s favor.
“How long have you known Chaka? Same campus?” Meisya asked.
“I just met him last week. Yeah, we are in the same campus,” Carissa answered.
They nodded.
“I live next door to him,” Adira added.
Now it made sense.
“If you end up dating Chaka, be careful. Adira will spy on you and report everything to his mom,” Fica said, putting out her cigarette.
Adira laughed. “That is easy money. One report, five hundred thousand.”
Meisya tapped her head lightly. “Hey.”
“His mom is actually really nice, you know,” Fica said, smiling. “She always gives us money when we meet her. Maybe we look like we are struggling or something.”
Carissa laughed a little.
“I want a mother-in-law like Chaka’s mom,” Meisya said.
“But his mom would not want someone like you,” Fica shot back.
Instead of getting offended, Meisya laughed again without care.

Carissa sat beside the bed, her eyes fixed on Leon’s face while he slept. Her hand pressed a damp towel gently against the dark bruise on his stomach.
It looked like he had gotten into a fight with his girlfriend, Kristal. His face was fine, but his stomach told the truth. The skin there had turned blue. He said he got punched.
“You knew you were hurt, and instead of going to the hospital, you went out drinking?” Carissa muttered.
So he was not fully asleep after all.
“You see me injured, and instead of taking care of me properly, you keep scolding me,” Leon said.
Carissa let out a small huff. “I am not doing this for free. Tomorrow morning, you are making me toast and coffee.”
Leon let out a soft laugh. He opened his eyes and suddenly grabbed her hand, pulling her down beside him. Carissa lost her balance and fell onto the bed next to him.
Before she could react, Leon turned toward her and pulled her into him. His arms and legs wrapped around her, holding her close. Her body was pinned against his.
“Sir, let me go!” Carissa struggled, trying to push him away. She knew he had been waiting for a chance like this. His arm was already too close to her chest.
“Just sleep here, Car. Stay with me.”
He did not loosen his hold, no matter how much she moved.
“Car…” Leon let out a low sound when he felt her thigh press against his groin.
“What is it, sir?” she asked without thinking.
She did not realize what she had just done. But then she felt it. Something hard pressing against her leg.
She went still the moment she noticed.
“Do not move,” Leon said under his breath, trying to hold himself together.
“Then let me go,” she replied, trying to sound normal even though she knew this situation was getting dangerous.
Leon shook his head. “No. Just stay here.” His fingers played with her hair, soft and smooth, carrying a light scent.
“Sir…” Carissa called again. She tried to ignore what she felt against her thigh. Maybe if they kept talking, it would go away.
“What is it?” Leon lowered his face, watching her closely. Her cheeks had turned slightly red. Maybe it was because of how close they were.
“Is it embarrassing to still be a virgin even when you are already an adult?”
Carissa never felt shy talking about things like that with Leon. He was the only adult she lived with in the flat.
Leon lifted his hand and brushed her cheek. “Why do you like talking about things like this with me?”
He gave her a teasing smile.
“It is nothing. You understand these things better,” Carissa said quickly. “I was really annoyed earlier. Chaka’s friend made fun of me just because I am still a virgin. But I actually plan to stay that way for the rest of my life.”
You could hear the frustration in her voice. She was still upset about what Meisya and the others had said.
Leon pulled back a little, caught off guard. Did she really mean that? Did she not want to get married?
Then he remembered she once said she wanted Alvero to be her future husband. Maybe she meant she would stay alone if that did not happen.
“Aren’t you planning to marry Alvero?” he asked.
Carissa pressed her lips together before nodding. “Yes, if it happens. If he wants me too. But I am scared of the first night.”
Her honesty made Leon laugh quietly. This girl always surprised him. Most people dreamed of a happy home, a partner, children. But Carissa did not see her future that way.
Her past had left something deep in her. Instead of dreaming about marriage, she had prepared herself to live alone.
“The first night is the part people look forward to,” Leon said with a playful grin.
Carissa frowned. “I can handle being close to a man now, but that does not mean I can do that. I am afraid I will only make my husband suffer.”
Her voice softened as she stared up at the ceiling, lost in her thoughts.
Leon pulled her closer, feeling a strange fondness for her small body. He wanted to keep her close, like something he could carry everywhere.
“No man would suffer being married to Carissa Kalila. If you are afraid, you can practice with me.”
He said it with a teasing smile, but the meaning behind it was clear.
Carissa blinked a few times, her expression serious.
“Is that allowed?”
Leon widened his eyes. He did not expect that at all. He had only been joking. But if she was serious…
He frowned slightly, studying her face. Was she teasing him back?
“Of course. If you want, I can teach you right now.”
“Okay. Let’s do it.”
Her answer came fast and simple, and it shocked him.
Leon could not relax. The look on his face gave him away. If he agreed, then what would happen next? Would he really be her first?
He shook his head and quickly let go of her, moving away.
“Car, do not joke like that.”
There was a time when he wanted to take her to his bed. Now he was the one pulling back.
Carissa sat up and faced him. Slowly, she reached out and touched his face. His forehead was damp with sweat.
Even someone like him, a man used to women, was now struggling because of a simple girl like her.
“Touch me, sir,” Carissa said, guiding his hand to her waist.
Leon’s gaze changed. It became serious, focused, without hesitation. They stared at each other, as if trying to understand something without words.
The room felt warmer. Their breaths brushed against each other in the space between them.
Leon’s hand pressed against her waist, pulling her closer until their bodies nearly touched.
Their breathing mixed, warm against each other’s skin.
A faint smile touched Leon’s lips before he leaned in and kissed her, rough and hungry.
