Cassian
I'd lost concentration the moment she stopped by my office door. I'd been marking some scripts earlier but all traces of my concentration were tossed out of the window immediately I set my eyes on her through the CCTV footage.

Involuntarily, my mind flickered back to that fateful night. She was absolutely breathtaking and I couldn't stop myself from going over to her. It was the first time I'd approached a lady in a while because it was usually the other way around. That night was magical and I hadn't been able to take it out of my head.

But I had only one regret ; if I'd known karma would come knocking on my door with that same beautiful mistake, I'd have never left the comfort of my bed. Imagine my surprise when I saw her in the quad today. I was surprised, happy even but mostly disappointed because even if I'd wanted to continue with it, my stuck up professionalism wouldn't let me.

"Are you going to keep on standing out there," I'd cleared my throat, and I knew she heard me. She'd been standing out there and fumbling with the door knob for almost a half hour. If she didn't stop, she might actually break the stuff. “Or actually come in?"

"I'm coming." I watched her roll her eyes before pushing the double doors open , her eyes adjusting to the dimly lit environment. My office was partially huge with rows of books lining up on all four bookshelves in the room. The lightning was a tad dark, but with just enough shade for me to actually read in. Yeah, I was myopic but I still enjoyed reading in the dark . From the comfort of my desk at the centre of the room, I watched as she sauntered majestically towards me and propped unto the empty seat in front of me.

Her dressing right now was different from the other night. Then, she was hot and sexy, a good amount of cleavage popping out of her red wooly dress. While today, her bogus hoodie and ripped jeans actually made her cute with her scrunched up nose high in the air.

"I didn't ask you to sit." I said pointedly, trying my hardest not to stare at her for too long. “And why have you been standing outside my door for the past half an hour?"

"I don't think I need your permission." As if noticing my gaze, she crossed her arms over her chest, blocking my view. “How do you know about that? Are you psychic now?"

"There's a camera out there and I can see everything that happens in that hallway." I smirked. “So what can I do for you? Why weren't you in class today?"

"Why don't you just murder me with your questions already?” She rolled her eyes, and if that wasn't a very good indication that I was bugging her, then I had no idea what else would suffice. “Why do you care?"

"Oh you know." I shrugged, a smug smile playing on my lips. "Just checking up on my favorite stalker."

She twisted her face in rage and if she could hit me at that moment, she definitely would.

"For the last time," She heaved." I'm not stalking you!"

"But here you are." I reclined in my swivel , propping my arms behind my head and flexing my taut muscles underneath my plaid shirt. “Two nights after, yunno..."

"Have I told you how much I hate you?" She was on the verge of exploding but I was just getting started. “Because I hate you so fucking much."

"If that's the case then why are you here?" I raised my eyebrow." Tell me."

"I'm here because I want to talk." She sighed, rubbing her temple over and over again like the action itself would calm her down. “Don't you feel weird after that night?"

"Not really." I shrugged nonchalantly. “I already told you, I don't do second chances. So I think you should kill that thought that we'd ever continue that shit."

"What?" Her eyes were as wide as saucers. “What did you just say?"

"You heard me." I adjusted some scripts on my desk. “I don't mix work with pleasure."

"Oh really?” She hissed, and even though I knew she had quite the temperament, I didn't see her next words coming at all. “You didn't think about that when you were moaning deep inside me about how good I felt!"

I paled immediately the words left her lips. She must have noticed it, because the smirk that had appeared on her face was priceless.

"Not so loud." My confidence shrank drastically, and while I hated every bit of it, I didn't let it show. “Sit down."

"Hell no." She roared, her voice going an octave higher. “You didn't think about work and pleasure when we were dry humping did you?"

"That's enough!" I jerked out of my seat almost immediately, grabbing her arm as roughly as I could. “Get out."

"Why?"

"I said get out!" I pushed her so hard she almost fell. She stumbled back for a second, and even though I was this close to helping her if she needed it, she didn't so much as notice me. “I don't want to see your face ever again."

"Gladly." She brushed off my hand with a sneer. “I don't care if you're my professor or anything but you're an ass!"

"Damn it!" I waited till she was out the door before I let the cursed slide past my lips. “Why? Of all things that could happen, it just had to be this."

"Hey.” the door swung open almost immediately, and believe me when I said it took every bit of self control I didn't know I still had, to not chuck my mug at whoever had dared to interrupt me. “Wrong timing?"

"What do you want Liam?" I groaned, running a hand through my hair. “Just the fuck do you want?"

"Oohhhh." He drawled, practically bouncing in the seat she'd just jumped out of, propping his legs on top of my desk. “What's gotten up your pants bro?"

"Don't call me that." I sighed, settling into my own chair. “Someone could hear you."

"Relax." Liam cracked his knuckles, lounging lazily. “The doors shut and your office is definitely sound proof. So we're good."

Liam was my younger brother but not enough people in this college knew that and we both sort of preferred it that way. Liam was a brilliant student, but he didn't want rumours flying around that he had gotten in here just because his elder brother was a senior professor in that very same University.

To further avoid this rumour, we changed our last names. I went by Cassian Corvin while he was called Liam Sanders. It was fun having him around but sometimes he could be a pain in the ass, like right now.

"She's here." I snapped, failing to control my anger. “She's fucking here."

"Who's here?" He asked thoughtfully. “Do I know her?"

"Yunno." I gestured wildly, my hands twirling in the air. “The girl I told you about..."

"Holy!" He cursed. “You mean that smoking she devil you banged two nights ago is here? How's that even possible? What's she doing here?"

"Language." I gave him a stern look, before drumming my fingers on my desk. “She’s my student, my fucking student. Liam can you believe that?"

"Wow." He was clearly taken aback by my revelation. “You're sure she's the one? You didn't mistake her for someone else? You know you use glasses so you might have thought she was someone else and...."

"I'm short sighted, not blind." I frowned. “And my glasses have been on my face since this morning so there's no way I'm mistaking her for someone else."

"I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for this." He nodded. “Right?"

"Like what?" I heaved. “That karma hates me? I definitely agree with that."

"What if she's behind it all?" Liam's ears perked up. “What if she's the one?"

"You mean the stalker?" To be honest that thought had crossed my mind a couple of times but I just couldn't bring myself to put a pin on it. “I don't think so."

For the past month, I'd been receiving anonymous letters. At first, the letters and gifts were mostly sweet words and what not, until one particular person upped his game. His messages were persistent, became more personal and sometimes threatening. I felt watched, my privacy was invaded. It kept on getting worse, till I contacted the police. Now they were looking into it and hopefully they would catch the culprit.

Hopefully.

" Yeah." He huffed, his voice laced with sarcasm. “Because whoever it is will walk right to you and say , "Yo, it's me, your stalker, so you can arrest me now."

"It's not her." I said defiantly. “I really don't think she would do something like that."

"You always trust..." Liam was interrupted a loud buzz coming from my drawer. I reached for the phone and perhaps if I had known what was waiting for me, I wouldn't have picked it up. “Who's that?"

"It's…." I trailed off at the sight of the message. There was no name or anything to which the source could easily be traced to, and I swallowed. “It's a message from her or himx

"Speak of the devil and he'll appear." Liam leaned in closer, in an attempt to peer into my phone. “What it's say?"

Things are going to get lit tonight between you and me. And I wouldn't try anything stupid if I were you. I'm really really good with fire. Did I mention how much I love it when you touch your glasses when you're nervous?

Anyway, Kisses
Ciao.

A wave of silence settled between us after the words tumbled past my lips. Liam held my gaze and the moment I realized the always cheerful didn't have a way out of this one, I just knew I was doomed.

It didn't make any sense, but somehow, I found my mind going back to her.

There was no way it could be her, right?

My heart slammed rapidly in my throat at what laid in front of me. I was in trouble and for both our sakes, I desperately prayed she wasn't the stalker.
