As Necro raised his hand, a cloud of smoke formed and every saw as the same cloud became a mini storm, that had the tip of a mountain top high above the clouds poking though. The top of the mountain was not a tip but rim or a creator for which only darkness was shown inside, atop the mountain standing just before the ridge on a path of stone stood a beast of ten times that of a person in dark flowing robes mixed with leather amour, one arm was a skeleton, with his long wavy hair dark as night. As everyone looked on it seemed to slowly move around in circle before fading away.
"Blair did you get it?" asked Necro.
"Yep." she said.
"Okay we should get going."
"Be careful." said Harris.
She just leaned in to kiss him.
Everyone gathered in the court yard, to see them off, Blair was saying farewell to Harris.
"Wile I m gone you have to keep Nova safe." she said.
"And wile your away you have to make sure you come back." he replied.
"My powers have come along way." she smiled as the two kissed ounce more.
Necro was was saying goodbye to Bella and Nova with Lady present.
"It s been a wile since I saw you last." he said.
"And it s will be a lot more then a short wile before I see you again." said Bella as the two hugged briefly.
"Nova, your growing up, your know a respected queen at aged six, I doubt you ll need me still." he smiled.
"I still need help, make sure you come back." she demanded playfully.
Blair opened the portal as he reached Lady.
"What are you going to say to me, it s not like we talk much."
"I just wanted to say." he then lent in close and whispered in her ear. "I m sorry for forcing you to be bounded to me."
He the turned around and left joining Blair as they walked though the portal, it closed behind them. Lady thought about what he said, and remembered how he treated her like a human, got her clothes, cooked her food and made her feel happy. She now felt conflicted about where they stood, looking back up they where gone and there was little to be done.
The two found themselves at a high altitude with short and steep walk up to and through the clouds to reach the top.
"Could you have aimed a little hire?" asked Necro.
"You trying aiming a portal on a steep mountain, with only a single glance." Blair replied.
The two started the climb, they followed the carved out rock path that criss crossed over the mountain having to grip hold of the rocks poking out either side for balance, Necro was doing all he could to give them air, as they higher they climbed the harder it became to breath.
"Were coming up at the cloud." Blair shouted over the high winds.
"I can t seem to part it." Necro called back.
The two struggled on thought the thick mist as they climbed further up, soon the ground become easier to stand on as they exited the cloud. As they came in to the clear they had expected to see the necromancer before them but he was not there.
"AAAHHH!" Necro Shouted.
"I don t understand." said Blair.
"The magic showed us where he was, not where he is."
Then the sound or a roar shook the mountain and the two where forced grab each other and the mountain it self to stay alive and not fall down. A large Dragon irrupted form the creator and landed in human from in front of them, they where the person form the magical image.
"Hello." said Necro as she stood back up.
Blair staid back, not wanting to intrude.
"Why have you come here?" boomed the Dragon.
"I lost my powers of Necromancy and was hopping you could gift me some of your power so I may regain my own."
"Firstly how did you loose your power?"
"I was trying to help a witch who had survived an attack form a group of evil necromancers, but she wound not trust me. So I put my necromancy in to a orb then she broke it in revenge for what they did."
"I see."said the Dragon.
"Okay, but do you want true necromancy or the one magic you know as necromancy."
"What do you mean, I don t understand." said Necro.
"Necromancy is the power to raise and reanimate the dead, with the power to kill people and bring them back." the Dragon explained "The power to bound souls and travel between graves is not Necromancy but altered forms of other magic."
Necro was to baffled to even speak.
"What do you mean?" asked Blair in his place.
"This might take a wile." said the Dragon.
Then the world shifted around them, soon they where in the past with San-saw but time was frozen.
"Are story starts with a man who learnt necromancy and with his power he wanted more, so he travelled around and attacked covens to learnt their powers to enhance his own." said the Dragon.
San-saw was marching in to a village in the mountains where a coven resided, as he kicked down their frail wooden door he killed them all then brought them back just the same.
"Teach me your magic or next time your not coming back." he warned.
Fearing for their lives they caved, and taught him magic soon he had enough, but he knew it was not going to last with other Necromancers so he killed them as well.
At a castle San-saw stormed in to a tower where a necromancer was practising other magic. He spun around and had his head cut from his body.
He sought out and killed all other Necromancers, you see their magic was seen as something unnatural and not many chose to be forward about being one. This made it easier for him to claim he was the only Necromancer.
The mountain was back to normal.
"Why, why did he do it all?" asked Necro.
"He knew his power was great and wanted to learn and control all magic." said the Dragon.
"But he didn t though did he." added Blair.
"No after he attacked a few the covens joined forces to stop him and so the story goes on." he said.
The world shifted the to where San-saw and the white haired women had lest been together, but he was not present and she was in bed alone.
Knowing he was wanted he chose to gift a ring to a women who fell for him, it had the power to stop her form dying and was the magic that lead them to her.
Two magic users snuck in to the room and thought they had him but found they had a dragon instead. The women breathed fire down upon them and though the fire they saw a dragons face.
The fire caused the in to burn the covens thought he was dead, he could now move on with the next stage of his plan to raise an army to take over magic.
"Wait." said Necro butting in.
The world returned to normal ounce more.
"That looked like my grandmother."
"It is true he met her again unknown it was the same person."
"Why was she there?" butted in Blair.
"She was trying to learn magic and chose a human form to make it easier for her to walk among the people. She was trying to do what he had done but to open a school to share magic, she managed to do so later but he also joined to help in his plan."
The world changed this time to the underworld.
With his plan to go in to hiding complete, he joined the guild as he could use transfer magic to choose who had Necromancy to form the idea that it was a trait your where born with and could not learn. With this he was to build and army and train them at the guild.
San-saw sat on his throne as he pulled his own power using more magic to look out at children not yet born and gifted them his power to build up his army.
Now he had full control over Necromancy and with no one else to say other wise he passed on what he had learnt as Necromancy to the ones he had chosen. Brainwashing them to heed his cause in tacking over all magic.
San-saw was in a class room at the guild.
"Now, they all think magic should be free, but it does more pain to do so, it has be be controlled to ensure the safety of others and that won t be easy."
But he had become weak with all the power he had given up, so to unsure his high status tricked his son in to getting a dragon soul. To add insult to injury he only had him to use him as a weapon.
"Stop." demanded Necro.
The mountain retuned.
"Now you understand." said the Dragon.
"Yes, but how did, miss Bella stay alive so long?" Necro wondered.
"She moved the enactment from her ring to her clothes."
"Ah."
"So now you must chose which magic you want to learn." said the Dragon.
"No wait, that means anyone could have learned it, it s just what do we do, we have to change it." butted in Blair.
"Then you have a choice to make." said the Dragon. "I can only gift my power, ounce. You must choose between tacking for yourself and having to alone and being the last Necromancer or you can choose to have it gifted to a few random people as so Necromancy can bet returned to people, as so anyone can lean the magic."
"You can t ask that of me!" snapped Necro.
"You where destined to come here but the fate of the world is in your hands."
"And if I refuse." argued Necro.
"You can choose your own fate but you can t change your own destiny." said the Dragon.
He looked back at Blair.
"I can t help you, I have no idea of what this means or the implications it will have." she said.
"SILENCE!" boomed the Dragon "You can not intervene." he opened a portal and forced her though.
"What did you do!" shouted Necro.
"Sent her home."
A portal opened in the throne room and Nova stood up as she saw Necro on the other side, Bella and Lady where in the chairs either side and Harris standing before them. Blair came flying in and Harris raced to catch her. Everyone was in shock over what happened as the portal was gone just as fats it has opened.
Back on the mountain Necro was faced with what seemed like an impossible decision.
"You must choose." Demanded the Dragon.
"When you take a life, somebody looses someone, a brother, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a father, a son, a friend. So the next time you go to take a life remember that when you do you destroy the lives of everyone around them." sighed Necro resting the oath he pledged to never take a life as a necromancer when he left the guild.
"Why are you telling me this?" asked the Dragon.
"How do I know that I choose to make Necromancy free to all that what happened just won t happen again."
"Because you will be there to guide them."
The throne room was thrown out of whack when Blair was throw in to the room.
"Are you okay?" asked Harris as he held Blair in his arms.
"Yeah, I m fine." she said as she came around.
"What happened?" asked Bella.
"We learnt the truth." she said turning to face Bella.
Bell became uneasy.
"Where is Necro." wondered Nova.
"The dragon, necromancer, thing, sent me away and kept him." said Blair as she stood up.
"Why?"
Blair remained silent.
"We should reconvene in the meeting room," said Lady.
"Why?" asked Blair.
Lady looked to Blair "What did you mean by truth?"
Bella and Blair remained silent.
As they entered the room and sat down, Blair resisted in her own words what the Dragon Necromancer had told her and Necro, about San-saw and what he had done but leaving out the truth behind Necromancy.
"That s a lot to take in." said Harris.
"It all makes sense." sighed Bella as she reflected on the years and time she had spent with him.
"What will happen to Necro?" asked Nova.
"Don t worry he ll make it back." comforted Lady.
"What ever happens." added Blair "He will make it back."
Everyone was becoming silent, as the dread came over them.
"I think I know who he might be." Bella sighed.
"Who was he?" asked Blair.
"There was a old Dragon folk talk, about a Dragon who knew so much magic a he ascended to a higher plain." said Bella "He was able to see the future and stopped caring for the lives of others, he would watch the world shape and mould for no reason but entertainment."
"That s bleak." said Lady.
"Sounds like him." said Blair.
"He was know to never to take a life, but can be seen a cruel and even brutal to those who find him for their own gain." Bella continued.
"That s not helping." said Lady as she tried to comfort Nova.
"I m sorry, but they where only stories, I never thought them to be the least bit true." sighed Bella "But what ever happened Blair was unharmed so Necro should be…"
Everyone has stopped as they looked over to see Necro walk in to the room, and took seat and sat down in silence. Nova raced over to hug him and never let go.
"What happened?" asked Bella.
"I don t want to talk about it." he grumbled.
Nova looked up at him, and as he looked down in to her eyes, he saw the little girl was still in there so he bent down to hug in in return.
"I m sorry." he whispered in her ear.
As he broke away he turned to Blair "Blair can I talk you alone?" he asked.
"It s okay." Blair said to Harris.
The two went out side and Harris looked on as they spoke.
"What did you tell them?" he asked.
"I told them what the Dragon did, leaving out the stuff about true necromancy."
"Thank you." he said as he put her arm on her shoulder.
"That s you for to do." she said "I also left out the choice, but what did you do."
"That s my burden to carry." he said as he looked back to see Harris who was getting jealous. "But I want you to keep it dark until, I ve come to accept my choices."
"I under stand." she said as she put her arm on his shoulder.
Gripping it in the hard time Harris blew a fuse and raced over to divided them, forcing the two to part.
"What are you talking about?" asked Harris.
"Nothing, just private thoughts we had on are trip." said Blair.
Necro nodded thanking her for her keeping the secret.
"Come on tell me?" he pressured.
"Lets not do this," said Blair as she left down the hall.
"Oh come on please." he begged.
Necro was about to turn back when he ran in to Lady.
"Did you get back your power?" she asked.
"I don t want to talk about it." he insisted, as he tried to move past.
As he walked speedy away Nova came out to see him walk away.
"Is he okay?" asked Nova.
"I don t no." said Lady. "Come on." she said as she guided her back to the throne.
Necro walked though the halls passing fewer and fewer people the lower he got until he reached the room where the book was kept. As he reached the door he put his hand on the wood, as he felt the doors push down hard on the hinge, he pulled them open and looked on at the book. Back in it s place he stepped over and opened the book as he flipped though the pages he found a blank page and stopped. As he put his finger down on the paper a golden drop of light appeared and flew off the page as it dissipated. In it s place was a ink dot. Necro then proceeded the write down the instructions on how to use the original Necromancy. As his finger scrolled out the worlds, the golden light emulated form the book with it swirling off in all directions before fading away. As he finished the dark room was plunged back in to the dark as the light was gone, he closed the book and left leaving Necromancy on it s pages for the generations to come,
In the throne room Nova sat with Lady, as he came in he noticed Bella was also residing in is old chair.
"Oh sorry." said Bella. "I suppose you would like to take your place back at the Nova s side."
"Yes thank you." he smiled.
As Bella got up Necro sat down felling good to be back, but not everyone was okay with it. Lady stood up and excused her self, Necro only wished he could change his actions.
"I ll go back to teaching." said Bella.
Nova nodded and Necro chose to sit back as he know he had to choose his next moves very carefully.
Down the halls Lady was making a B line to any where that was far away, and she found her self back in her room, it was much like Necro s but it had nothing to show a personal touch beyond a few flowers for colour. As her mind flared up with the brewing emotions she had for Necro and the fact they both felt as being apart was for the best, as he mind swung back and fourth she wanted to release her anger and in a moment of pure emotion she flung the vase to the floor, but as she realised her actions she raced to pick it up. But the china had shattered in to shards on the floor, the water spread out and the flower laying dead.
"No." she wept. As the lilac lay dishevelled in her hand.
As she wept more out of pain then guilt over the flower, she whipped her eyes clear to see it was blooming again.
"What." she said as she concentrating hard using her aggression to test what she thought, the flower died in her hand at an alarming rate, until it faded away as the body decomposed as it stated fading to dust.
She knew that this meant one thing, she was now a Necromancer, but did not now how.
