CHAPTER 12

FINALLY

Bolu and Bimpe sat on the grass looking at the other fairies entertaining them with music , dance and food . It was a perfect night for everyone to come together as one .

The people had never felt so much joy before especially when the moon , whose brightness had never been seen in fairyland since the wizard had started tormenting the people illuminate the whole of fairyland .

" I think it's time for me to make things right " Bimpe kissed her friend .

" As how " Bolu asked , she was confused .

" I need to bring Gweneven and Kelvin back , you need to go back home . " Bimpe smiled .

" But I thought our agreement was that I will stay with you forever . " Bolu replied .

" If I should go back to your world , another issue will come up again . You don't belong just like I don't belong to your world , I know I promised you that I will be with you forever . But you have to go Bolu , you need to . " Bimpe replied , tears drop from her eyes .

" So all this years of friendship and love , so it has to end . This is not fair Bimpe . " Bolu cried .

" I'm sorry , I have mess things up , I want you to start a new life without me , you need to understand Bolu . " Bimpe cried .

" Understand what ! , I love you Bolu , more than anyone else . " She yelled .

" You know I have a responsibility towards my people , I don't want to lose them the second time . " Bimpe replied , laying on her knees .

" So , you want me to go . " She replied .

" The day you told me about my mother , ever since that time , I feel her within me . She is strong and agile , just like you . I still need to find my dad . " Bimpe replied .

" You heard what the wizard said . He ... "

" No , he is lying . My dad is trapped somewhere , I need to find him . " Bimpe replied as she kissed her friend .

" You know what , let me go back home . I don't wanna see your face anymore . " Bolu frowned .

" You will start a new life again , You will see someone more perfect than me . Bolu you need to trust me . " Bimpe managed to smile .

" All the best , just get me out of here . " Bolu replied .

" I have a gift for you . " Bimpe replied , handing Bolu a beautiful snail shell .

" It looks like the piligom " she managed to smile .

" Keep it well , we can communicate through that . " Bimpe replied .

" Wow , so while I'm away , will you fall in love with someone .."

" No one Bolu , you are the first and the last person I will love to be with . " Bimpe replied kissing her friend .

" So what should I tell your mother about you . " Bolu replied .

" About me , I won't even exist in her life . I need to change everything , it's because of me that so many things have been happening . " She replied .

" So I can call you through this , or how does it work ? " Bolu asked .

" Whenever you are about to sleep , just say my name and then I will appear in your dream . " She smiled .

" Wow , so we can still be doing all those nasty things we do at the back of the school toilet . Come-on what if I'm already married . " Bolu replied .

" We still continue our nasty things , forever . " Bimpe laughed .

" In a christian way , it's called cheating . " Bolu laughed .

" Anyhow . I'm not a christan , I'm a fairy . "Bimpe laughed .

" I think it's about time i start going . I will miss you . " Bolu replied .

" I will miss you too my love " she replied , kissing her friend .

Bimpe and Bolu climbed up the heels , She raised the Piligom up to the sky and suddenly the Piligom explode into a purple light that spread across all the places in fairyland . Bimpe opened her eyes , only to see a tiny particles of light floating on the air . Her friend is gone .

13th of September , 2000 .

Mr Femi Adegoke and his wife were both returning from the hospital , although it was late in the night they were still singing along to the music that was jamming . It was a perfect mood for mum and dad as they were both expecting a baby soon .

Suddenly Mr Femi noticed a carton placed near gutter , although he wanted to move on like his wife had told him to , but instead out of curiosity he summoned courage to check what it was , he was surprised to see small number of empty beer bottles arranged .

" Some people are just dumb " He smiled , stepping into his car .

" Didn't I tell you , stop stressing yourself . " Adebumi replied .

" I know , I just want to see what is there . Fasten your seatbelt . " He pecked her.

" Please just be careful , you know I'm pregnant . " She smiled .

" Yea , that's why I want my unborn son to test what they call speed . " He replied as he inserted the ignition key , kissed his wife once again and speed off .

8th of March , 2021 .

Bolu woke up by her alarm , she managed to climb down the stairs , although still feeling dizzy .

" Mum what are we eating for breakfast . " Bolu tapped her mum who was already baking a bread .

" Just take some corn flakes , I'm still baking this bread . " She smiled at her daughter .

" Alright where is dad ? " She asked .

" Today is Saturday , so your dad needs to

.. "

" Clean the garden I get . I'm coming mum . " Bolu replied , as she headed towards the garden and sat down on a broken pillar , examining the purple snail shell she was born with , she knew she's connected with someone powerful , someone far away from existence , who she doesn't know that much .

Tired of sitting , she stood on the pillar that was above the fence of their house , she stared at the beautiful mosaic walls that was used to beautify the community . And then the chickens in the gardens kept making some noise that made Bolu cover her ears with her earphones . The sun , however struggling through the clouds , rose from behind to light up the sky and send colorful rays towards her face .
