Chapter 34 Normalcy

Chapter 34 Normalcy
The journey back to Spasio City was a blur of Yeseus’s superhuman speed and careful detours, avoiding major roads and any lingering threats. They arrived at Klishei’s house under the cloak of pre-dawn darkness, the city lights a distant hum.

Klishei’s house stood silent and unassuming, a stark contrast to the cosmic upheaval she had just endured. Stepping through the front door, the familiar scent of her home – dust, old books, and a faint lingering trace of her parents’ perfume – enveloped her. It was a comforting, yet melancholic, embrace.

“It’s… exactly as I left it,” she whispered, her fingers trailing over the worn banister of the staircase.

Yeseus moved through the house with a quiet efficiency, checking every room, every window. He was a silent sentinel, his senses alert to any disturbance.

Klishei walked into the living room, her eyes falling on the couch where she and Yeseus had first intertwined. A blush crept up her neck. The memory was vivid, the raw hunger, the desperate need for his touch to quell the surging power within her. Now, that power was hers, fully, irrevocably.

Their skin at the back of their palms touched, igniting a familiar feeling between them. It was Yeseus who acted first.

His lips were already on hers, slow and strong. It was soft at first, giving Klishei the time to open up. When they broke away, Yeseus apologized. "I'm sorry for touching you without your consent that day. I was stupid. I should not have done that. Up until now, I blame myself that you felt the need to go away. Please forgive me."

Klishei felt the sincerity in his voice with his lingering taste in her mouth. She gave him another deep kiss. "I forgive you, Yeseus."

The feeling of being forgiven made Yeseus wrap his arms around her. They stayed in that position for a few minutes, taking in each other's warmth. When Klishei could no longer wait, she put her hands inside her shirt.

"Yeseus, please, let's do it. Now." Her voice was strained. She, too, had held it for so long.

Her hunger mde Yeseus' desire intensify. "As you wish." Without warning, he lifted her, making her legs wrap around his waist. "We just came from a trip. The shower is tempting."

He knew the way and kissed her on their way to the shower room. As soon as they entered the cubicle, both of them stripped like they were in a rush. When they were fully naked, Yeseus knelt, positioning his mouth on her vagina.

"But I did not yet wash---"

Yeseus did not care. To him, eating her raw with all her juices was an adventure he loved exploring. His tongue glided inside her, swirling her womanhood. Klishei filled the shower room with her high-pitched moans. While his tongue was busy, he inserted a finger, making her scream.

He did not stop until she squirted. He licked everything. He felt power surging through him and made him decide that he will make sure to let her keep on cumming until her legs give up.

"Wait," she suddenly said, interrupting him in putting his shaft inside her.

"I want to... taste you also."

Yeseus was surprised at her request. But then, Klishei's hands touched him down there and he released a grunt. Klishei saw his expression. "I see. So you like it like this, huh?" Her hands were quick to learn. His manhood produced amounts of pre-cum and she spread it all over him with her small fingers.

He closed his eyes in pleasure. When he felt that it was no longer her fingers that were touching him, his groaning became elated.

"Klishei," he moaned. Her tongue licked his penis clean. Yeseus wanted some rhythm so he helped her by holding the back of her head.

"Damn it. I feel like I could do this all day with you."

After how many passionate rounds, the two sunk in the bed.

As they both catched their breaths, she turned to him, her gaze direct. “So, normalcy. How do we achieve that, with… all of this?” She gestured vaguely at herself, at him, at the invisible threads connecting them to a world far beyond human comprehension.

Yeseus put his arm under her head. “We start by going back to school. You finish your senior year. You graduate. You live the life your parents wanted for you.”

“And you?”

A faint, almost imperceptible smile touched his lips. “I remain your mysterious classmate. Your protector. Always within reach, never truly seen.”

The days that followed settled into an unusual rhythm. Klishei returned to Valhartt Academy, the familiar hallways and classrooms a strange juxtaposition to the cosmic battle she had recently fought. Her classmates greeted her with casual indifference, completely unaware of the goddess walking among them. Luka, her best friend, clapped her on the shoulder.

“Hey, Klishei! Where’ve you been? You missed a whole week of classes, and Sir Hans was getting worried you’d run off with that new transfer student, Daevar.” Luka chuckled, completely oblivious.

Klishei managed a weak smile. “Just… a family emergency, Luka. Everything’s fine now.”

Yeseus was there, of course. Sitting in the back, observing, a shadow in the periphery of her vision. He blended in so seamlessly, so utterly forgettably, that Klishei sometimes wondered if he truly existed outside her perception. Only the faint, almost psychic tug she felt, the constant awareness of his presence, reminded her.

Their conversations happened in the quiet moments, in the privacy of her home, or sometimes, in hushed tones during lunch breaks when Luka was distracted.

“I still can’t believe how easily Luka forgot Daevar,” Klishei remarked one afternoon, stirring her coffee. She and Yeseus sat in her kitchen, the afternoon sun streaming through the window. It had been three months since their return.

Yeseus took a slow sip of his tea. “The mirage of forgetfulness. A subtle manipulation of memory. It is a power I can wield, a gift from the cosmos to protect humanity from the truths they cannot comprehend. I ensured that Daevar’s brief, disruptive presence was erased from the collective memory of your schoolmates. Only you, and those intimately involved, retained the full picture.”

Klishei shivered, a prickle of unease touching her. “So, you made them forget? Just like that?”

“For their own peace,” Yeseus affirmed, his gaze steady. “Ignorance is often a kinder shield than truth, Klishei. Especially when that truth involves werewolves, goddesses, and cosmic battles.”

“I suppose,” she conceded, though a part of her chafed at the notion of her reality being so easily rewritten for others. “It’s just strange. To know so much, and to see others know so little.”

“It is the burden of awareness,” Yeseus said, his voice soft. “A burden I have carried for centuries. Now, you carry it too.”
