Chapter 87 I Don't Need To Know You
Anger. Irritation. All different types of emotions began morphing into his skin.
She had touched him.
She touched him. His bare skin.
No one had ever done that and seen the light the next day.
Everyone knew where they stood.
Beneath him.
He hated humans. He hated human interaction in general.
Living was only to achieve something that had formed a chasm in his heart.
Being betrayed by someone he called his brother was devastating.
He was devastated when it happened but now he wasn't.
He stopped in his tracks.
"You're being rude mister."
The weird girl who had dared to touch him said.
"You don't want to tell me your name. You're just shoving me out of your building, like I'm some inconvenience. Well, if you didn't want to save me then you should have let me bleed out." She said feeling a pain in her belly.
Then he turned, facing her, "And what exactly do you want me to do? Let you live in my mansion? Give you some money, is that it? You want money?" He scoffed, he wasn't done.
"Why the fuck would I need to know your name or ask about your name. You might end up dead tomorrow or wherever and I don't give a flying fuck about your little pathetic life. Get lost and get out of my house. I saved you, ensure you preserve your life or don't. Never gave a fuck!"
He shoved her hands away, "Ensure next time you do not go around touching people you do not know. Only heaven knows why you ended up being such a miserable bloodied mess. Get. Out Of. My. House!" His voice grim as he turned away from her, anger sizzling beneath his chest.
The weird girl had gotten a rise out of him and that made him want to blow her fucking head off.
But then—
He heard a screech. A loud piercing screech.
His steps came to an abrupt halt and he turned back, his eyes landing on the small figure gasping for breath on her knees. One hand against her chest and the other to her head as if holding herself steady.
His eyes slithered. What the fuck? Then he felt it: something foreign settling in him for a fraction of a second before disappearing like it was never there.
He picked up his phone, called Boris and informed him to come to the gym.
Seconds later, Boris appeared.
"Check her." He ordered his hands itching steadily as he refused to touch her.
He didn't touch strangers.
A painful whimper tore out of her lips again, his feet moved a bit then stopped, irritable anger grabbing his chest hard.
The girl was on her knees crying and gasping her air. Then, she fell sideways, clutching her stomach in pain.
Those guards had crushed her ribs. It was so fucking painful that she felt like she was in labor.
"Ah! Ah!!" She cried out, turning on the floor until Boris came and held her.
"Hey, Miss what's wrong with you? Why are you screaming? Holy fuck!!" He gasped loudly when he felt her body heating up.
She was burning like a furnace.
"Sir, I think something's wrong with her. Maybe her wounds aren't fully healed. And she is clenching her stomach fiercely, she's still hurt."
As usual, no frantic emotions came up his face, only bothersome emotion. She was the definition of trouble.
What the fuck was wrong with her now?
"Where's Cornell?" His question rough and hurried.
"Um... He left this morning. He said he would be back in the afternoon to check on her."
"Why would he leave his patient without checking up on her?"
The girl was still screaming and crying.
Boris hesitated for a moment, "H-He said he had an e-emergency."
He grunted, "what fucked up emergency? This is an emergency." He flicked his gaze towards the girl twisting and turning in pain on his gym floor.
Why did she even leave my room and come here?!
So fucking troublesome.
He rubbed the spaces between his eyebrows and hissed out, "Boris, see what you can do first to ease her pain. And also, contact Cornell and tell him to come the fuck back here! It's an emergency. He has fifteen minutes."
"B-but you assigned me to do something I can't leave it. You need it before tonight." Boris stammered.
How would he be able to juggle between his work and this crying patient?
"Sir, w-why don't you—" his words seized in his throat when his boss threw him a sharp glance.
"Get lost already!" He hissed out and threw the black towel on a bench.
Boris didn't need to be told twice, he sauntered out like a mouse.
Standing alone while watching the real hot tears leaving the girl's eyes. A nameless emotion dropped inside his chest. It didn't make a space there, the chasm in his heart swallowed up the emotion.
With furrowed brows he crouched forward, carrying the girl into his arms— bridal style.
Feeling the warmth of his arms on her skin, she quickly moved her hands up his shoulders, joining her fingers behind the nape of his neck. Then she relaxed, a low whimper rolling out of her as she snuggled into his chest, shaking and whimpering.
His body tensed up, "Can't you stay still without eating me up?"
She didn't respond. Instead, she curled herself, clinging onto him like a marsupial, unwilling to let go.
His cinnamon scent rolling off him in thick waves mixed with a bit of his musky sweaty smell, wafted into her nostrils and she smiled amidst the pain she was feeling all over.
He smelled so fucking amazing.
She didn't struggle further to keep awake.
Knowing that she was in safe hands, she let herself drown in his comforting body.
A few hours later,
Her eyes snapped open, she was back inside that bland room.
Ugh!
She hissed, sitting upright then screamed when her vision caught a man sitting across the room and staring at her intensely.
"Argh!!!!!!"
