Chapter 23 A party?
Isabella reached her room with a stuttering heart Her hands shaking by her side at the disbelief of her wanting more of Nikolai's fingers inside her.
This is how it's supposed to feel for first timers right? I'm on the right wheel and not steering too forward right? She pondered trying to convince herself, the way her body was feeling was normal and that she wasn't doing too much.
She closed and opened her eyes, taking in a sharp breath as she pushed away the hairs on her face behind her ears.
She looked, Daisy was focused with some toys on the bed.
Where has she gotten them from?
"Daisy..." She called out softly, dragging her feet to the bed. Her body, especially her hips was aching badly.
But Daisy ignored her, rolled her eyes and turned away from her.
Her jaw dropped, stupefied beyond words.
"Is anything the matter?" She sat at the edge of the bed and tried to hold Daisy's hands but she moved further taking her doll and toy towards the other end.
Isabella's face was marred with worry,
"Have I done anything wrong, Daisy?" She asked but still no response.
She looked at Daisy with shocked eyes. She had never acted this way with her without reason.
The few times she did, she knew she had done something wrong.
Isabella wasn't going to let her keep up with this attitude. They only had each other.
If she was angry, she had to say it.
She pushed herself towards Daisy and when she noticed she wanted to slip away from her she held her by her wrist and turned her with a light force.
Her heart stuttered. Daisy was crying. Her eyes were swollen and puffy.
Her skin crawled with worry,
Has anything to her?
"Daisy," she called again, her voice lower filled with concern.
Her cries increased.
"You left me alone, sister Bella. I was worried." She cried out, her shoulders shaking as she fumbled with the toys in her hands.
Isabella felt a prick to her chest at her words.
"I've been alone in this house. I only saw you yesterday and then you went missing. I'm all alone, sister," her cries increased, "Sister, Ayla and Aunt Eliza were the only ones checking up on me," A shiver ran through her body.
"You left me alone, sister. I'm sorry for being a burden to you. I'm sorry I didn't run when you said I should. I'm so sorry, sister. Maybe if I did, you wouldn't have to see me as such a burden." Hot tears were down to her jaw and little snuts were smeared under her nose when finished sobbing out.
Isabella's eyes turned teary.
It was never her intention to leave her alone.
She was just... Busy?
She swallowed down the guilt at her throat.
Her sister was alone, missing her while she was moaning and weeping for Nikolai's touch.
Guilt pricked her skin. Words clawed at her throat unable to come out.
She bit her lips and moved her hands to Daisy, wiping her cheeks clean.
She felt her skin hot beneath her touch, "I'm sorry, Daisy. I'm truly sorry and you're never a burden for me. Don't say that again! You mean so much to me.
I will do better from now on. I promise." She chuckled, letting out a harmless smile.
Isabella wrapped her arms around her frame, resting her chin on her hair, "You're my only family, Daisy. I'm sorry for making you feel alone. You're never alone." She sniffled hard.
She felt Daisy shudder under her arms, her little cries reaching her heart.
She hated herself more.
She had left her sister alone while enjoying Nikolai's fingers in her.
She didn't know to forget this! It was so hard, piercing her heart.
How could she?
"It's okay, sister. I just missed you a lot. You never treat me like a burden." She wrapped her arms around her waist tightly.
Isabella wiped her own tears.
She can't let Daisy see her crying. She's supposed to be the bigger sister and console her sister not wanting the same thing.
She smiled and pulled away from her slightly.
She looked at the toys around her.
There was a pink baby doll beside her and some little fashion toys. Like plastic lipsticks, shoes and other stuff.
"You've gotten so much stuff, Daisy. Where did you get them?" She asked curiously.
Daisy sniffled hard, using the end of her sleeve to clean her nose - it wasn't much.
"Well, while you were away, Ayla, came and played with me for a while before gifting me all these. The dolls and plastic toys were all from her."
Isabella didn't know how to take in that information.
First, she still didn't know Natalya well.
Second, she was attached to Nikolai which means she's probably ruthless as he is.
What if she's just pretending to be nice at all.
She didn't know but she still had her guard up. She wouldn't let herself be manipulated to drown in her sweet actions.
But she didn't tell Daisy any of that.
She just nodded and said, ''okay. That's actually nice. At least, you wouldn't be bored."
They talked and played for an hour or so before a knock against her door was heard.
Knock knock
She turned her head surprised.
Who could it be?
She told Daisy to wait while she went to the door.
She pulled it open, a guard was standing with a box in his hands.
"The boss sent this to you." He said gruffly, and stretched his arms.
Isabella shook her head slightly, fully surprised.
The guard pushed the box to her and she had no choice but to accept it and slammed the door close after.
A note was in front.
She held the box with one hand
, and opened the note.
"Dress for a party. Be ready by 10: pm."
