Chapter 67 067

Chapter 67 067
Danica's POV

Maybe it was the whole mate bond thing, or the fact that my supposed mate wasn't just an ordinary werewolf. But I feel so overwhelmed right now.

My heart wouldn't stop racing and my fingers and nails kept itching weirdly. 'Hey there' an awfully familiar voice whispered in my head and I almost choked on my saliva.

She never called out to me unless she had to say something extremely rude. But right now, she sounded normal. And somehow, I got that same feeling of listening to an actual friend talking to me.

'Hi, there' I muttered in hesitation, expecting her usual disappearance whenever I tried to talk back but then Alexander chose the moment to snap me back to reality.

"Are you okay?" He asked, worry lacing his tone.

I nodded once. But I wasn't okay. My fingers began to itch in an unbearable way and my gum just had to join the itching party.

"You feel weird, don't you?" Alexander chipped in, a very wicked smirk curling at the corner of his lips.

But it was gone before I could even dwell on it.

"You don't have to pretend to be okay. I can smell the change in you, you know?" He pointed and I blinked.

"A change?" I muttered, genuinely confused because I wasn't feeling any change right now. I'm feeling itchy and downright uncomfortable.

"Your gum and fingers are itching so badly that you would do anything to make it stop, right?" He asked, making my eyes widen in disbelief.

"How do you know that?" I asked and he smirked.

"I know that because it's normal for every werewolf that has a strong mate bond but doesn't have their actual wolf yet" he replied but I couldn't have been more confused.

"Come here, little mate" he murmured, inclining his head towards his legs as he spread his arms open.

I gave him a weird frown that slowly melted at the sight of the little smile that curled at the corner of his lips. Then I climbed over his legs, with my own legs resting at his sides cautiously.

One arm circled my waist, pulling me flush against his chest but I remained tense, careful not to make him uncomfortable with my weight.

"Relax, little mate. Surely you don't want to add this to all that itchiness." He pointed and I blinked, clearly not convinced that he's going to be fine with carrying me when he just narrowly escaped death.

But he doesn't feel the same way. I could tell that much with the thickness that grew between his legs.

"You feel that don't you?" He asked, his tone suddenly cold low. I nodded nervously, my face flushing pink.

"You're holding your breath in and Rage is mistaking it for fear. He preys on fear, little mate. So breath" he murmured and I let out a sharp shaky breath, relaxing against him with my hands resting on his shoulders for support, but it only made me more aware of his hard-on poking me.

"Many wolves can't resist the urge to shift when they seal a strong bond with their destined mate and the same thing is happening to you. However, you feel those itchiness because you don't have your wolf so instead of actual claws and fangs slipping out on their own, your fingers and gum keeps itching" he explained, his fingers trailing up and down my back slowly, in a gesture to soothe the tension that still lingered in my composure.

"But you look so normal..." I trailed off and he smirked.

"I learned and earned control over my wolf's craving for quite a long time, besides, he doesn't want to ruin this moment as well, so we came to a conclusion" he explained and my eyes lowered to his chest, where his heart lies.

"Rage?" I whispered and he nodded.

"Does he get angry a lot?" I teased, simply curious because of his wolf's name.

"He does." He muttered bluntly like it was meant to be a warning but I didn't mind an angry wolf one bit. There's always a good side to even the worst beings on earth. Most of them... Not all.

I didn't resist the urge to place my hand against Alexander's heart but before I could even make a move, a hot shiver raked through my nails, my gum and my spine. I had to grind my teeth together to form a different pressure. I didn't even realize how hard my fingers dug into his shoulders after that episode and he didn't mind either.

"You can make it stop, baby girl. I can make it stop, if you'd want me to" he murmured, his gaze narrowing on me without mercy. "You just have to say the words" he added and a soft moan, a mixture of pain, fear and excitement slipped out of my lips before I could stop it.

"What are you going to do?" I asked in a whisper and that wicked smirk returned to his face.

"The only thing I can do to help you, little mate. Nothing more, nothing less" he murmured and before I could say anything in protest, another wave of discomfort shot through my veins.

This time I didn't try to maintain any decency before sinking my teeth into his shoulder.

It was all I could do to soothe the itchiness that was rapidly contouring into pain.

Alexander didn't flinch. Except for the slight pressure around my waist, there was no other reaction from him, so I kept my teeth there, while still trying as much as I could to not draw blood.

"Bite me as much as you want, Dani, but it won't stop that pain unless I fuck it out of your system until all that's left to feel is how numb your legs become." He murmured and a whimper tore through my lungs.

He just had a way of making me lose myself even with as little as his filthy words, doesn't he?

"Tell me, little mate. Do you want me to help you?" He asked as I detached my teeth from his shoulders.

I nodded once, my hips moving against him unconsciously.

"Make it stop, Xander, please.”
