Lucas
“What did you want?” I asked as soon as I stepped inside my room, my eyes burning with fury as they landed on Scar. She was sitting on my bed, uninvited and unwelcome. “What gives you the right to come inside my room?”
“Lucas,” Scar called, her voice hopeful despite everything. She rose to her feet, walking towards me with hesitant steps.
She disgusted me. The mere sight of her made my stomach clench with revulsion.
“It is Alpha for you,” I snarled, making her flinch. She took a step back, bowing her head in submission before speaking.
“I’m sorry, Alpha.”
“Why are you here?” I asked, loosening my tie with sharp, angry movements. “Tell me.”
“I’m sorry.” She fell to her knees, abandoning her pride again. I watched her silently, unmoved by the display.
This wasn’t new; she had been doing this ever since I had given her to Jack and Alex, a decision that still burned in my memory.
She had been begging me to accept her back, as if what was broken could ever be repaired. How could I do that?
I couldn’t bear to embrace her when I knew Jack and Alex had already claimed her, their touch forever tainting what was once mine alone.
I knew how Alex had been eyeing her. The way he lustfully looked at her made my heart twist with jealousy.
How could I forgive a woman who had shared herself with my friends?
“You don’t have to do this,” I muttered, walking away from her as if distance could ease the ache in my chest.
I removed my suit jacket with deliberate movements and sat on the sofa in my room. “Stand up, Scar.”
“No,” she whispered, her voice breaking. “Please forgive me.” Her eyes pleaded with me, glistening with unshed tears.
I watched her, a familiar ache blooming in my chest as I wondered why she continued to beg when the answer would never change.
“Is it a must to marry me?” I inquired, frustration edging into my voice. “I don’t understand why you refuse to let go, Scar. Why do you keep torturing yourself, torturing us both?”
“I miss you,” Scar whispered, her fingers trembling as she reached toward me but stopped short. “I love you, Lucas. I can’t bear to lose you.” The raw desperation in her voice made something twist inside me.
“Even when you had already slept with my friends.”
“You knew.” She paused, her face paling as she processed her own words. “You knew all this isn’t my fault, Lucas.” Her voice held a note of accusation that ignited my anger.
“Alpha. It is Alpha to you,” I growled, my eyes flashing with a warning that made her shrink back. “I won’t repeat myself again.” My hands clenched into fists at my sides.
“I’m sorry, alpha.” She quickly apologized, her shoulders hunching in submission. “Just find it in your heart to forgive me.”
“Stop sounding pathetic, Scar. Get up and get lost.”
For the first time in weeks, Scar’s gaze met mine. I didn’t expect what I saw. She was crying, silent tears streaming down her face, carving paths of sorrow on her cheeks that I once would have wiped away.
“I love you,” she gasped. “I love you so much it’s tearing me apart.”
“I no longer love you, Scar. There is nothing you can do about that.”
I rose to my feet, my heart pounding against my ribs. I couldn’t deny having slight feelings for her still lurking beneath my anger.
She had been sweet and good to me once, her touch a comfort I craved even now, but knowing my friends had also had her left a poisonous jealousy coursing through my veins, turning everything we once shared into something bitter and twisted.
I approached Scar where she remained on her knees, her form small and vulnerable. I grasped her arms and lifted her up; by this time, her heart-wrenching sobs had filled every corner of my room.
“You don’t have to cry.” My voice softened despite my resolve to remain cold. “My Luna must be someone pure. Someone I will cherish for the rest of my life, and you do not fit in this category, Scar.”
I fixed my eyes on her tear-stained face, forcing myself not to waver. “Leave and never come back here, or I won’t be nice or gentle to you.”
“Lucas.” My name on her lips still held power, still made something inside me stir traitorously.
“Enough. Don’t make me call the guards to throw you out.”
“Okay.” Her shoulders slumped in defeat. “I will leave and come back.”
“You can come back only if you no longer cherish your life.” I turned around abruptly, not wanting to see the pain flash across her face. I could hear the soft opening of the door, the hesitation in her movements.
“I’m sorry, but I want you to know that I can’t control this feeling,” she said, her voice steadier now, tinged with something dangerous—truth.
I didn’t bother turning around as she continued. “You were the one who asked them to rape me, and now I no longer deserve to stay beside you. I wish I could hate you, Lucas. I wish I could bear to.” The accusation hung in the air, and with this final blow, she left.
I turned around slowly, her scent, vanilla and heartbreak, still lingering in the air. I called one of the guards in.
“Alpha.” The guard appeared instantly, his eyes careful not to meet mine.
“Bring in a maid,” I ordered. “I want her to change the bedsheet.” To erase all traces of her, though I knew that would be impossible.
“Yes, sir.”
After the guard left, I began undressing, peeling away layers as if they could protect me from the truth of her words.
I was bare naked, exposed in more ways than one, when I heard the knock on the door.
“Come in,” I answered, not bothering to cover myself.
“Ha—Alpha.” The maid screamed as soon as she stepped in, her eyes widening in shock at my state of undress, a flush spreading quickly across her face.
“What?” I questioned, my eyes never leaving her body as I undressed her with my gaze.
I took in her beauty with predatory interest. She had a very nice shape, plump lips, and full breasts that strained against her uniform.
I licked the corner of my mouth, heat spreading through me as I wondered how she would taste, how her moans would sound when she was beneath me.
The maid quickly composed herself, her face flushing deeply with embarrassment. “I’m sorry, Alpha. I didn’t expect you to be... undressed.” She averted her gaze, her eyelashes fluttering nervously as she tried to focus on anything but my naked form. “I’ll change the sheets immediately.”
“Wait,” I commanded. She froze instantly, the perfect picture of obedience. “Did I ask you to change the sheet?”
“What should I do, Alpha?” Her voice trembled slightly.
“Are you innocent, or do you not know?” I smirked, watching her discomfort grow with every passing second.
She was such a beauty. A beautiful flower I would enjoy tainting.
“I don’t understand you, sir.” She gently bowed her head in submission, and I couldn’t help but notice how the movement caused her breasts to shift beneath her uniform.
“Raise your head.” She complied immediately, her eyes reluctantly meeting mine. “Is that for you?” I asked, pointing at her chest, my intentions clear in my tone. “Alone.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Come here.” I beckoned with a single finger, and she approached with hesitant steps, like prey approaching a predator. “So huge.” I grabbed her breasts without warning, earning a startled gasp from her lips. “So soft. and fluffy.”
“Alpha.” My title escaped her as a breathless whisper, somewhere between protest and surrender.
