Chapter 110 Chapter 110

Chapter 110 Chapter 110
Elorai.

I shake my head, taking another gulp from the bottle. I don't want to go in just yet. The day is too beautiful to have it spent indoors.

As I'm drinking, Knox approaches us, his body glistening with water and his legs dirtied with sand.

“Where have you been?” I ask, glancing up at him, ignoring the well-sculpted muscles on his chest and the way they make my skin tingle.

“I went surfing...” he answers, plopping down on a chair across from me.

I blink at him. “What's that?”

He directs my gaze to the beach where waves rise and crash down, and I spot people riding in the middle of the waves.

“That's called surfing,” he answers, a smug smile on his lips while mine part in shock.

“You can do that?” I shriek, and he nods, grinning.

“It's pretty fun.”

Suddenly, I feel bad for sleeping when I should have joined in on something as cool as that.

“Why didn't you wake me!?” I cry out, hitting his arm. “That looks so cool!”

“Sorry, I didn't know you would be interested in something like that. We can always try it out sometime later,” he says, rubbing the part where I hit him.

“Promise?”

“I promise,” he states solemnly.

“Now I gotta find something else to do to pass the time...” I murmur, pouting to myself.

“How about a party?” Knox suggests, glancing at the growing crowd at the center of the beach, dancing and moving to the loud tunes that are being played.

My eyes widen in interest. “Do we know those people?”

“We don't need to,” Knox answers with a smirk.

He rises to his feet, stretching his hand for me to take.

“Would you like to join me?”

I beam up at him before taking his hand. He pulls me to my feet, and I giggle as I hit his chest.

“We'll be back!” I call out as Knox drags me to the swelling crowd.

The infectious beat and music flow through my veins, and before I know it, I'm swaying to the rhythm, Knox sticking close to me as I begin dancing.

It's way more fun than I realized. I've never known a moment like this before in my life, and to think this might become a regular occurrence if I bond with these men makes me even more excited.

Knox and I stay close, dancing, moving, and gyrating to the beat until the sun sets and we're both very exhausted.

We stumble back to where Lucas and Ronan are sitting, their gazes permanently fixed on us.

“You are enjoying yourself...” Lucas comments, a corner of his lips turned up in a smile.

“I am...” I respond, breathless, eyeing the drink in his hands. “What are you drinking?”

Lucas pauses. “It's a cocktail, but it's alcoholic, Lo. It might be bad for you.”

“But I'm thirsty...” I whine, already reaching for it. “Let me have a taste.”

Lucas tries to refuse, pulling the cup away from me, but I don't stop reaching for it. Eventually, he gives up and hands it to me.

“Just a sip. But don't say I didn't warn you.”

I nod eagerly, bringing the cup to my lips and taking a large swig of its contents. The liquid is ridiculously sweet in my mouth, but there's a strange burn as it goes down my throat.

“Oh... It tastes good...” I murmur, pulling the cup away from my lips and staring at it.

The alphas just watch me intently while I take another swig of the drink until it turns out empty.

Lucas gingerly collects the cup from me.

“I'm sure your thirst is quenched already...”

“I want more...” I announce, cutting him off.

His mouth hangs open in surprise.

“You can't have any more. You don't know your tolerance yet,” Ronan says in a firm voice, trying to dissuade me.

“But it tastes really good! Just one more cup, and I'll stop, I promise. I feel so thirsty, and I'm really hot.”

At that, their gazes narrow, but I take no notice of it. All I know is that my body is buzzing and I need more of that drink.

“Only one more cup. You can't have any more after that. Okay?” he says, and I nod.

Lucas calls for another glass and hands it to me. I collect it from him, grinning.

Then I take a huge swig, gulping it down.

A soft hum bursts from my lips, and I start feeling really light on my feet, the music in the background growing even louder.

“This is really delicious...” I start to say, but my voice slurs in the end.

I chuckle and take another sip, savoring the drink this time around.

My body starts to get really, really warm.

Lucas chuckles before scoffing. “She's already drunk from one glass,” he mutters under his breath.

I frown. “I'm not drunk,” I growl, hiccuping in the end. I hold out the glass. “See? I'm perfectly fine,” I mutter, then drink down the rest of the juice, slamming the cup down on the table.

They all flinch, staring at me with wide eyes. Knox snickers behind me.

“Let's go dancing!” I screech, shooting to my feet.

My vision swims, causing me to stumble, but Knox catches me just in time.

“You can't go anywhere. You're already drunk.”

“I'm not drunk!” I deadpan.

“That's enough. We need to go inside. It's getting late,” Ronan affirms.

“No..!” I pull away from him and bolt toward the crowd.

Someone sweeps me off my feet, pressing me close to their chest.

“Where are you running off to? It's late and you're drunk. You need to rest!”

“Your head will start hurting if we don't lay you down now. Come on, let's go in,” Lucas's voice filters through, soothing.

At those words, all the fight drains out of me and I slump against Knox, breathing in his scent.

“Okay...”

I fall asleep to the gentle rocking of his body as we head back to the resort.
