I walked over to him and we got in our car and we left.
I didn't say a word to him as we left that packhouse, I just sat there looking out the window.
I could feel the tension in the car on the way back to our pack, but I didn't care. I wouldn't look at him. I wouldn't even acknowledge that he was there.
I felt him looking at me a couple of times, but I still ignored it.
The drive seemed to go on forever and Alpha Logan was the one that finally broke the silence.
"No mate of mine is going to be seen flirting with another unmated male." He said, like it was nothing.
"I apologize, Alpha.” I said. And with that I could feel his eyes boring holes into the back of my head.
"Don't be a sarcastic bitch with me. You know I won't stand for it." He growled. So I finally turned to look at him.
"You dragged me to that bullshit party because you wanted everyone to know that you had a mate. To make yourself look stronger. Then you completely ignored me while I was there. No other Luna was walking up to talk to me, and he was polite. I wasn't going to be rude to him. He was only talking to me." I said.
"And people started talking about it straight away." He said.
"Well, you sure showed them, didn't you? You let them know who was in control. If you think no one saw you hit me, then you're a bigger idiot than I thought." I said, looking back out the window.
"I guess I shouldn't have hit you." He said. But I just rolled my eyes and didn't answer him.
When we finally got back to the pack they pulled up outside of my trailer.
"I'll be sure to get this dress dry cleaned and returned to you as soon as possible." I said.
"It's yours." He said.
"I'll have it returned." I said, getting out of the limo.
I walked up to the front door but the limo just sat there until I got inside and I turned on the light.
I saw a shadow from across the room, so I moved quickly to get out of the way and as I dodged the lamp that was in this person's hand I managed to grab her by the hair and slam her against the wall.
"Penelope." I growled.
"What the fuck are you doing with my boyfriend?" She asked, as her face was squashed against the wall.
I didn't even dignify that with an answer, so I opened the front door and I saw that the limo was still sitting there.
I still had Penelope by the air and I threw her out the front door and she landed on her stomach on the ground before I slammed the door shut.
I heard some yelling by Penelope and Alpha Logan before they left and the car finally left.
I sat on the couch thinking about everything that had happened tonight when I heard a phone going off. Which was really weird because I didn't own a phone.
I looked around when I realized that it was coming from the clutch that I took to the party tonight.
I looked inside and there was a cell phone in it. It had one new message written across it.
EZRA - Hey, just making sure that you got home alright. This is a prepaid cell phone, non traceable. He'll never know that you have it if you keep it hidden.
MORGAN - Why would you do this for me?
EZRA - I know someone in need when I see them. I only want to help. That's all. And Nathan told me that he thinks you need help as well. Just let me know when and if you need anything. Please keep in touch and don't lie to me about anything. I won't cause trouble, but I can also use whatever you say as evidence against him if it ever comes to that.
MORGAN - I doubt it will ever come to that. But I appreciate you looking out for me. It's late. I have to go. Bye.
EZRA - We'll talk soon. Bye.
'We'll talk soon'. Why do I get the feeling that he isn't going to go away anytime soon. This is just going to make my life so much more difficult than it needs to be right now.
