Chapter 104

Chapter 104

Adelmo, Lana, and Sierra cautiously scan their surroundings, ensuring that no prying eyes are witnessing their every move. With a sense of urgency, they reach out for the door handle of the imposing building, their hearts pounding in their chests. Suddenly, Adelmo's eyes glaze over as he falls into a deep trance, his mind transported to another realm. Lana, too, is overcome by a strange daze, her expression distant and detached. Sierra, determined to uncover the secrets hidden within the building, follows closely behind Lana, inadvertently blocking her path and preventing her from venturing any further.

As Adelmo and Lana delve deeper into their trance-like state, their eyes fixate on the scene unfolding outside the building, illuminated only by the moonlight. To their astonishment, they witness a group of soldiers dragging an unconscious werewolf towards the entrance. Intrigued and filled with a mix of curiosity and trepidation, they decide to tail the soldiers, eager to discover the destination of this mysterious creature. It becomes apparent that the soldiers are taking the werewolf to a laboratory, where Hitler himself is overseeing the operation. The werewolf is carefully placed on a table, its limbs securely fastened, while a scientist prepares for an unknown procedure. As the scientist reaches for what appears to be a minuscule bug, Adelmo's brow furrows in confusion, his mind racing to comprehend the significance of this peculiar sight.

In this gripping moment, Adelmo and Lana find themselves on the precipice of a revelation, their senses heightened and their minds racing with questions. What is the purpose of this clandestine operation? What secrets lie within the walls of this enigmatic laboratory? With each passing second, their determination to uncover the truth intensifies, propelling them further into a world of intrigue and danger.

The scientist eagerly explains his groundbreaking discovery, his voice filled with excitement and anticipation.

"Once this remarkable parasite is injected into the pituitary gland, it will begin to establish its roots, connecting itself to every single part of the brain. This incredible connection will grant you the power to control it simply by using verbal commands."

Intrigued, Hitler leans forward, his eyes fixed on the scientist.

"Show me," he demands.

Without hesitation, the scientist carefully injects the parasite into the designated spot at the top of the pituitary gland. As if guided by an invisible force, the parasite starts to settle into its new home, nestling itself comfortably. Gradually, it begins to sprout roots, reaching out and intertwining with the intricate network of the brain. Suddenly, the werewolf's eyes snap open, wide with pain, and it lets out a guttural growl, followed by a haunting howl. Its body convulses uncontrollably, as if seized by an invisible force. Just as quickly as it began, the werewolf falls still, motionless.

Concerned, Hitler questions the scientist, "What happened? Is it dead?"

The scientist shakes his head, a knowing smile playing on his lips. "No, my dear Hitler. This is merely a side effect of the parasite's connection to the different areas of the brain. It is a necessary process."

Eager to take control, Hitler asks impatiently, "How long until I can command it?"

The scientist's eyes gleam with excitement as he responds, "Try it now."

Hitler wastes no time, his voice filled with authority as he commands the werewolf, "Wake up and sit upright."

In an instant, the creature's eyes snap open, and it obediently sits up, as if under Hitler's spell. Adelmo, who had been watching the scene unfold with wide eyes, suddenly snaps out of his trance, his mind filled with a mix of awe and fear.

Adelmo's eyes widen as he gazes at Lana, his expression mirroring that of someone who has just witnessed a supernatural phenomenon.

Lana, seemingly unfazed by Adelmo's reaction, confidently remarks, "I know, can you believe that they actually managed to figure out how to control them?"

Adelmo, still in a state of disbelief, queries, "But how on earth did they come to this realization?"

Sierra, who has been observing the exchange with a perplexed look on her face, finally speaks up, "Huh, what exactly is happening here?"

Adelmo, realizing that there isn't enough time to explain the situation in detail, responds, "We'll have to fill you in later."

Determined to catch up to their targets, they stealthily make their way into the building. Fortunately, their recent trance-like experience has imprinted the directions in their minds, allowing them to navigate with ease. As they draw closer to the laboratory, they spot their targets in the distance. The zombie, deprived of sunlight, loses its vitality and becomes motionless.

As the team carefully positioned the lifeless zombie on the cold metal table, the lead scientist's frustration grew evident. His eyes narrowed in disappointment as he realized that their subject was completely motionless. In a fit of anger, he slammed his hand against the nearby counter, causing a loud thud to reverberate through the room.

His voice filled with exasperation, he exclaimed, "What on earth is this? I specifically asked for a live specimen! Does this look alive to any of you?"

One of the assistants stammered, desperately trying to explain, "But... but... it was definitely alive and moving just moments ago, before we brought it into this room."

Adelmo, who had been observing the scene intently, seemed to comprehend every word, even though they were spoken in a language foreign to him.

The scientist took a step back, his mind racing with thoughts and possibilities. He needed a moment to collect himself, so he retreated to his office and sank into his chair. The weight of disappointment and frustration settled upon him as he contemplated the situation. Adelmo, sensing the scientist's distress, approached the closed door cautiously. With a mix of curiosity and concern, he reached out for the doorknob, his hand trembling slightly. As his fingers made contact with the cool metal, a strange sensation washed over him, pulling him deeper into a trance-like state.

In that moment, Adelmo found himself transported to another realm, a place where the boundaries of reality blurred. Visions and fragments of knowledge flooded his mind, as if he had tapped into a hidden well of understanding. He could almost grasp the scientist's thoughts, as if they were his own. The connection between them grew stronger, intertwining their fates in ways they couldn't yet comprehend. Little did they know that this encounter would mark the beginning of an extraordinary journey, one that would challenge their beliefs and push the boundaries of science and humanity.
