Chapter 82: White Moon’s Warriors
Chapter 82: White Moon’s Warriors
Standing there, watching Marcus after the challenge has finished, I couldn’t tear my eyes away from him as he stood there tall and proud, surrounded by the White Moon’s warriors.
His eyes drifted towards mine, making my heart flutter as all I could feel was the love I have for my mate.
A smile crept on my lips, as slowly he approached towards me, wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me closer into his warm, firm body as his lips pressed down on my own.
The jolt of power passed through me the moment he kissed me, making my breath hitch from the intensity of the feeling, the feeling of complete and utter love.
We made some space in between us, as Marcus turned and surveyed every and each warrior that was waiting for him to speak.
"You all heard what the Moon Goddess has said." His voice boomed loudly, powerful, all around us as he said making everyone nod their heads as they silently waited for him to continue.
"We will go to the Elders lands and take down the Law and bring justice to every shifter community so that every new mate couple that finds each other can feel free to embrace their bond and be together as they should be. White Moon's warriors, are you with me?" he roared the last part making everyone stand tall and growl in acceptance.
Proudly he stood before them, determination, and power going off of him in strong waves as he said, “Then let’s go.”
Every warrior howled to the moon as he said the words, making them all wash in white, bright light, as my eyes landed on Marcus to see the same light engulfed him as well.
Confusion washed over me as I looked over at our friends, who were silent, feeling mesmerized, watching over the scene that was happening before our eyes.
I turned my eyes back to Marcus and the warriors, seeing the light dimming down as their forms reappeared before us again.
Gasps sounded, coming from me and our friends, as we saw them dressed in silver-white clothes, covering every inch of their bodies. They were dressed similar to modern army men, white with silver imprints, covering their combat pants and their jackets. The shirt that was peeking through, underneath their jacket looked like it was white, but I couldn't see very well.
I walked towards Marcus, fingers tracing the fabric that covered his chest. I saw marking, the same one he got when he defeated Azrael, covering his left shoulder.
They looked stunning, and like some big unit, all dressed the same way except the big marking that was same on Marcus left shoulder and Azrael's too, marking them both as their higher-ranked wolves of the White Moon's warriors.
Azrael walked towards Marcus, standing by his side, saying, “We are ready, Alpha.”
Marcus took one last look at them all, turning around, taking my hand in his as he started to lead us all outside the same way we got inside.
The moment we walked outside, Damon said, “I can shift and carry Olivia and the others, and you can lead ahead with the warriors and we can meet at my pack house?”
Marcus thought about his proposition for a moment, looking over at me, seeing I was about to protest as I wanted to stay with him, he said, “Yes, that is a much better idea. Take them home, we will meet you there soon, but watch over Olivia.”
I scowled as I looked at Marcus, “I wish to stay with you.”
He caressed my cheek, looking at me determined and eyes full of love, "I know my love, but this is a much safer and faster way for us to travel. You will go with Damon and others and before you know it, I will meet you all there."
Defeated, I exhaled, knowing he is right. “Ok, I will do as you wish. But be careful on your way back please.”
Smiling down at me, lovingly he leaned down, pressing his lips on my forehead, planting a gentle, sweet kiss. “Now go.”
Turning around, I walked towards Damon who was patiently waiting for me to join him and Logan, Lizzy, Annie, Tanner, James, Mandy, and Trent.
Turning one last time, looking at Marcus and Azrael, standing as they watched over us, leaving slowly, I knew I should not have to feel sad for leaving or even missing him, but I couldn't help it.
He looked at me, giving me one more time a gentle smile, before I turned around and walked away, following Damon as he leads us down the mountain.
The walk down the mountain was much easier than climbing up it, making it much smoother and faster for us to reach the lower ground.
The moment all of us stood on the firm ground beneath the mountain, Damon walked further away from us, taking off his clothes, making me close my eyes as I turned away, feeling the strong gust of air, wrapping around him as a bone-cracking sound reached my ears.
As the wind stopped and a loud roar was heard, I opened my eyes to see a magnificent black dragon, standing in the place where Damon was moments ago, laying down his huge body, letting us all climb on top of his back to carry us back to his home.
Finally, as we all were seated safely on Damon's, dragon's back, the huge black dragon started to raise up to his feet as his wide dark wings extended and started to push up and down, pressing harder until finally, we were all flying up in the sky.
Damon went higher, hiding us all from the prying eyes that might see us from down, reaching higher until we were wrapped in the thick, moist clouds that helped us fly safer and smoother.
Every now and then, when we would go from one cloud into the other, I would cast down my eyes to the ground and the sight of what I saw was stunning.
Marcus and his warriors, all in wolf forms, running through the forest, as he and Azrael were close by to each other, running side by side.
As he could feel my eyes looking down at him, I saw his wolf’s head raise up and look at me.
A smile showed on my face as a loud howl sounded as it came out from his chest, breaking through the air, reaching up to us.
My heart swelled with love and joy as I watched him run, leading a pack of large wolves behind him.
The travel was smooth, and by the end of the day we have finally reached our destination and now standing in front of Damon's packhouse, waiting for Marcus and his warriors.
“They will come any minute.” I heard Damon say to me as I kept my eyes, watching at the woods, waiting patiently to see my mate.
Earth shaking rumble could be felt, followed by a loud howl that announced their presence right before I saw a huge, black wolf, my mate, emerge from the woods, without stopping as he rushed faster to meet me.
The joy of seeing him again, overtook my senses, as in the next moment, I was rushing down the large steps, running towards him, to greet him.
“Marcus!” happily I called his name, as he made a loud rumble sounding, coming out from his chest, as a response to my call.
Forcing my legs to move faster, as in the next moment as I almost reached to him, I saw his wolf jump high in the air, making me stop and watch as he crossed the distance between us, shifting in the air as he landed on his feet, naked, wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me closer as his lips pressed down onto mine.
The kiss was passionate, filled with love that we shared for one another, making us kiss until we had to break apart to get a much-needed air back into our lungs.
He smiled down, looking at me as our foreheads were pressed into each other's, making me return the smile as I had my eyes locked with his.
Throat clearing sounded behind me, making us step back from each other and look at the person.
"I am glad to see you both together, but I am also sure that you all must be starving and for what is to come next, you will need as much energy as you can get. So why don't we all go inside and eat and warm up, get some rest before your next adventure." Damien said, looking at us with a soft look in his eyes, and I saw a huge silver wolf, Azrael walks by us as he led the warriors towards the pack house, following alongside Damien.
"You could at least before you enter the house, put these on, and make yourself decent," Damon said, tossing some pants to Marcus who catches them and puts them on.
Taking my hand, Marcus started to lead us towards the packhouse where everyone was already waiting for us.
