Chapter 79: Portal

Chapter 79: Portal
Morning came as we all woke up, trying to shake away the sleepiness that we were all still feeling.
I looked over at Marcus as he was still in his wolf form and couldn’t help myself as I admired how beautiful his wolf was.
The dream I had last night came back to me, making it so hard to believe it was a dream as it felt so real at the same time.
"We should get going," Damon said to us as one by one we all walked outside the cave.
I saw Logan let Lizzy climb up as Mandy followed behind her this time.
Turning around, I saw Marcus nudge me, showing me to climb up on his back so I did as he asked as my brother followed shortly, “I am riding with you this time.”
Chuckling at his silliness, soon enough we all started to climb the mountain, searching for some way to enter the mountain and find the White moon warriors.
Climbing up felt like hours, as we were almost near the top, inspecting every curve and crack of it on our way and finding nothing, well that is until Damon didn’t call us, “Look!”
Everyone rushed to his side to see what he found.
Finally managing to see what he was pointing at, I could see like an embedded wolf howling at the moon.
"This must be it," Damon said as he looked at the drawing and then back at the map, which was given to us by Edmond.
Marcus asked me for James and me to climb off his back so he can shift back and soon enough as we both climbed off and Mandy and Lizzy did from Logan, we could hear the bones breaking sounds, and finally, a moment later I could see Marcus as he was standing there in front of me, fully naked as my eyes raked all over him making him smirk at me.
"If the situation was different, my love, I would take it as an invitation and have my way with you here and now, but as now is not the time for such… activities, I will have to ask you to not look at me like that," Marcus whispered in my ear, making me blush from embarrassment to his words.
He dressed up in clothes that I handed to him from his backpack and soon as he was done, he walked towards me and placed a soft kiss on my lips then walked away towards Damon as the two started to inspect the drawing and what Edmond wrote on the map.
"Maybe we need to say those words?" Marcus asked him as he scratched the back of his head, making Damon shrug his shoulders.
“We can try.” Damon answered as he took the map and folded it so just the written text was showing and gave it to Marcus to read it, “Since you are one of the chosen ones, maybe then you should try to read it?”
Taking the folded map in his hands, Marcus said, “Sure.” And silently read the text before speaking them out loud.
"I am calling out for the gatekeeper to open the passage and lets us through, to seek for the help of the great White Moon warriors," Marcus said loudly the written words, but we couldn't see anything happening, nor sound was made.
Feeling dejected he tried again but to no avail.
We sat down, trying to think of anyway, solution how to make it work, but nothing worked.
“Place your hand in the crack and speak the words.” A familiar female voice sounded in my head, startling me for a moment when realization dawned at me that it was her, she was real.
Standing up, I moved towards the drawing in the stone, feeling the eyes of everyone on me, watching my every movement as I slid my hand inside the small crack, right next to the moon.
Closing my eyes, I prepared myself and called upon the Goddess, to guide and help me to accomplish this task.
"Say it out loud, speak from your heart and the gates will open," Jessabelle said to me, giving me the courage I needed to speak out the words.
Opening my eyes, with determination written all over my face, I started to speak out loud and strong the words that Edmond wrote down, "I am calling out for the gatekeeper to open the passage and lets us through, to seek for the help of the great White Moon warriors."
My eyes started to shine white as the words were being spoken, making the white light appear from the crack where my hand was, making everyone gasp and stand up as they watched, mesmerized by the scene that appeared before their eyes.
“Say it again.” Jessabelle instructed me.
Felling a moment later, warmth spread all over my body, I repeated the words, “I am calling out for the gatekeeper to open the passage and lets us through, to seek for the help of the great White Moon warriors."
The wind started to blow around us, looking as it wrapped the mountain as it circled around, as the grey cloud appeared above us, thunder and lightning appearing inside of the cloud.
A loud male voice sounded as it said, “You are granted to access inside.”
As the words were said, flashes of lightning appeared making me remove my hand from the crack as Marcus held me in his arms, as we all watched what was happening.
The flashes grew, making a spiral appear before us, that grew wider and wider until we could see a sheen of glimmer that was surrounded in a circle, waiting for us.
“You may enter.” The same male voice said as the weather around us was still raging as we looked at each other, silently agreeing to do as we are told.
Marcus said to me, “Hold my hand and don’t let it go. I will walk through first and will give you a squeeze if it is ok to follow, ok?”
I silently nodded my head as he took my hand, walking towards the huge portal.
"Be careful," Logan told him, making Marcus smile at him and others as he took a step and passed through the portal.
Everyone stood silently waiting and watching after Marcus, and in the next second I felt his hand lightly squeeze mine as I turned towards the group and said, “It is ok, we can all pass through.”
Everyone smiled at the news as I slowly walked toward the portal and taking a small step, passing it as I closed my eyes.
I felt two strong arms wrap me in a tight embrace as a kiss was placed on top of my head, “It is ok my love, you can open your eyes.”
Hearing Marcus's voice, I slowly opened my eyes and could see our friends, one by one, entering through.
Marcus took a step back from me, as we all looked around only to be greeted by a scene that took our breaths away.
Huge, bulky men were standing there before us, watching at us in surprise as they all stopped what they were doing.
It seems like we interrupted their training as they were all gathered in circles, paired one on one as some continued on holding their opponent while others had their hands frozen in the middle of their attempt to punch their opponent.
Seeing us all standing there speechless, they turned towards us, some growling, some still surprise written in their eyes when two tall, shirtless figures walked towards us.
I looked over for a moment at my group and could see all the males taking a stance as they pushed females behind them.
I felt Marcus push me behind his back, making me to peek from the side and see two males stop a few steps away from us.
"Who are you and how did you get in here?" A tall male with curly brown hair and brown eyes asked the question.
Marcus was standing tall as he answered him, "My name is Marcus. I am Alpha of the Blue Moon pack and these here are my friends. We are looking for the Moon Goddesses White moon warriors as we are in a need of their help and I am hoping we came to the right place."
The male that asked the question, narrowed his eyes as he looked Marcus over.
“Who opened the passage for you all to enter?” he asked us.
Before Marcus could answer, I sidestepped him and stood by his side as I said in a loud and proud voice, "I did."
Two males turned their heads towards the sound of my voice and looked at me as the other, the one with white straight hair that reached his shoulders, said, “You did?”
Standing straight, with my chin up, I answered him, “Yes, I did. I am the one to open the portal.”
The commotion could be heard as the warriors behind the two males that stood in front of us, slowly, row by row, they made a passage appear, as they were letting someone walk without a problem through and towards us.
Damon walked over and stood next to my other side, as Marcus and he exchanged a look, as they waited for what is to happen next.
I could see a tall, shirtless, strong, muscular male, slowly appearing from the crowd as he made his way towards us.
Slowly the two males in front of us move to the side, giving space to the male that was coming.
I took my time to take a better look at him, as he was watching at us, his eyes taking in every and each one of us, estimating each one as a possible threat, as he finally stood in the middle of the other two.
I noticed when he was closer how taller than the others he was, with a dark grey hair that reached a little past his shoulders, hard facial features, as scars from his battles could be seen all over his chest. His eyes were different, a color I never have seen, not on another shifter that is. They were like the eyes of a tiger, with a straight nose and a strong chin.
A growl sounded as it came out from his chest, making us all feel his power, and his strength.
“What do you want?” his voice was gruff as he spoke the question, looking over at Marcus.
"As I said, we are looking for the great White Moon's warriors," Marcus spoke calmly, not backing down from the man's narrowed eyes.
The male snorted hearing that but didn’t reply.
My interest was spiked as to why were they so hostile, so I asked the male that spoke a moment ago, "Who are you?"
His tiger eyes landed at me, looking at me for a second too long before he said,
“My name is Azrael. I am the Alpha of the Moon Goddess White Moon’s warriors.”
