Chapter 54

Hayden and I both woke up early. We got dressed and went to meet everyone in the conference room. It was a large room by Hayden's office. It hard a large table and chairs. There were monitors hanging on the wall a huge board for pinning things on.

It is where Hayden had spent most of his time when I was captured. We were the first to arrive. We sat at the table. We started to talk about what to bring up first and we agreed on bringing up the murders of multiple packs.

Soon Monroe and his beta Rupert joined us. “How are you today, Luna.” I was shocked to have Monroe call me Luna. It was not the normal seeing as I was not his mate. It was a major sign of respect. He never called Hayden Alpha as he wasn’t his Alpha.

“Goodmorning Monroe. Rupert.”

“Morning Luna.” Rubert said nodding. I nodded back to him. I wondered if all of Gemstone pack would be calling me Luna as well. We waited for a while until Taylor came in. He was looking better. Chloe trailed behind him and his beta Marc.

I didn’t say anything, but Hayden said. “Good morning, Taylor, Chloe, Marc.”

“Goodmorning Hayden.” Monroe was silent.

“Please come in grab a seat.”

The three went and sat down. “Now we need to first address that the hunters. They have wiped out the east coast packs as well as the midwestern packs.”

“How do you know this.” Taylor asked.

“We sent scouts out to ask them to join us but all but you two were there even a couple of my scouts did not return. “

“And do we know it was hunters.”

I spoke up “Yes, we do. I was captured by the hunters, and I overheard many things. They would brag about how they had almost wiped us all out.”

“And how did you get captured?”

“Why is that important Monroe.”

“Sorry Luna I just want to know what to avoid.” Taylors face went sour when he heard Monroe call me Luna. He knew it was because I had beaten him and now, I had a higher standing then he did in Monroes eyes.

“Well, my movements where being tracked. I had someone placed in my life to follow me around and learn things about me. For him it was easy to blindside me and poison me.”

“I still don’t understand how that is possible.” Taylor said.

“Look I was bitten I wasn’t born Lycan. Shortly after I met Ian, he inserted himself in my life and when I called things off because I found my mate, he realized he wouldn’t be able to keep tabs on me he poisoned me and then the hunters tortured me to find the Black moon pack.”

“I bet you caved and that is why we are here to help save this pack. If that is the case, you can count me out.”

“Taylor, Ember didn’t cave in fact she escaped and was told by the goddess that she wanted the Hunters wiped out. So, no it is not just about black moon it is about all of us. “

“Gemstone pack will be there to fight with you.”

“Thank you, Monroe.” Hayden and I looked at Taylor.

“Well, I will help but half of my warriors will remain at Sun Pride. My own pack should have some guard if it is bad as you say.”

“Understood, thank you.” Taylor nodded at Hayden.

The rest of the meeting we discussed what I had heard while being held captive. Then we went over strategy. We agreed we should train and tune up until all the snow had melted. I was to work with the women.

Taylor of course had no women warriors. I asked if Chloe wanted to train in which Taylor shot down before she could answer. I dropped it not trying to make conflict when I already had to walk on eggshells around him.

Monroe agreed to work with the men and Hayden and Taylor where to plan on attack formations and operations. I think in part it was because neither Monroe or myself wanted to have to work with Taylor. Monroe had no respect for the man.

We informed the pack that training would become much more intense. And we would also be running scenarios that Taylor and Hayden had created. The women where super excited to train under me. Even Monroes females seemed excited.

I figured it was because they had seen me fight. Also, because they knew I was strong like Hayden told me. I in truth was excited to train with the women. They had a lot less ego than males and where better at defensive which could work in a battle.

It would allow them to have the element of surprise in a battle. Not to mention we were seen as weaker which made people let their guard down. It could give you an advantage in a fight. I told the women we would be training an hour before the men and train an hour longer.

A lot of the women where mad at this but I told them it was imperative as we needed to build up endurance more than anything. I encouraged them to get to bed early and eat well. I let them that know that we would meet tomorrow and go over particulars for training.
