8 – THE ONE WITH OREO’S LOOKALIKE 1.1
I am currently standing in front of the red door that I haven't approached in weeks. But here I am now, with no choice, holding a tray with freshly cooked rice and dishes that my good boss requested. I also accompanied it with a glass of iced tea because it would be embarrassing for her.
Yes, I couldn't do anything but obey. I followed her orders to cook for her, even though my job here is to be a professor. If Mykel finds out about this again, she'll tell me off again.
If you think about it, it's also my fault why I'm in this situation. If I hadn't cooked for her during my first days here, she wouldn't have known that I knew how to cook. So, I postponed my return home. I'm sure I'll be late when I get home. It's almost seven o'clock at night, time flies so fast. I just told mom that I might be late.
She asked why, and I just replied that I had something to do. Then my naughty mother, who still didn't believe me, asked me what I was going to do.
It would be nice to answer, my boss, I'll do it. But of course I didn't answer that. I just said lessons.
I put the tray down on the table on the side of her room. After putting it down, I adjusted my clothes, especially the fabric of the clothes wrapped around my neck. I hit the wound lightly so I felt pain. Because of that, I remembered what she did to me again.
I clenched my fist remembering that scenario. Where did she get the audacity to ask me to cook for her after choking me yesterday? I don't know how to react around her. I still can't accept what she did. I still cry when I remember.
Maybe I'll just knock, give the food, and then leave. I'll just say I need to go home.
I was about to knock but before I could do that, the red door opened in front of me. The one that was wide open. It was the first time I saw this door open completely and I had never seen the room inside. Only now.
Standing in front of me, in all her glory, is my boss. She's wearing the same black outfit she was wearing earlier. But unlike before, her hair was down, now it's tied in a high bun. She still looks like a secret spy in an action movie.
"Arf!"
Her gaze dropped when someone barked. Sitting next to her, behaving very well, was Oreo, whom I rarely see anymore, wearing a pink bow tie. The dog's posture next to her master was so beautiful.
Why is Oreo wearing a pink bow tie? I know she's a boy.
My gaze shifted between the two of them...
Why do they look like movie stars who are both fighting evil spirits?! Just make Oreo's bow tie black and then put them in the same shades, it's okay. So cute!
"Hi Oreo" I greeted the dog who quickly came to me when I called her name. I knelt down slightly to reach her and gently rubbed her neck.
"Hello, your bow tie is so cute. Who put that on you? Why is it pink? You even made a badi---" I deliberately kept my mouth shut when I felt Thera come out of her room and pass by Oreo and me.
You heard every step as her high heels lifted. Why does she always dress like this when she's always locked in her room?
The dog was so clingy that my attention was only on her. Later, her owner would wrap Oreo's bow tie around my neck.
Thera remained silent and approached the tray that I had placed on the table. She glanced at the contents of the tray for a moment and then picked it up. I was going to volunteer, but I was still annoyed with her. She was going to carry her own food there.
"Oreo..." Thera called to her pet. Because of that, the dog and I both raised our heads and looked in her direction.
Leche, I'm Oreo too.
"Be a good boy and go to Priam and Anthea." she ordered her dog.
After she said that, Oreo barked once, then broke free from my grip and ran away. That made me stand up from my knees and look after the dog.
Tact! What kind of trainer trained that dog to be so obedient? Is it really that understanding? Later, it even took the elevator to the twins' room, right?! That's very clever.
"You."
I felt the electricity running through my body again when she talked to me. I slowly turned to look at her.
She's still standing in front of the table while holding the tray. God! Why does she look fine doing normal things? I'm pretty but I'm not that hot holding the tray!
Calm down, Sky! Whatever you're thinking. Just imagine that person strangled you and you don't want to talk to her anymore.
"Yes, young lady?" I asked in a cold manner but still respectful. I wanted to make her feel that we were not okay and that what she did to me yesterday would never be okay.
"Stop spacing out and follow me." she commanded with authority as she walked into her room.
Suddenly, my legs went stiff from what she said. I was still asking myself if I heard her correctly.
Did she say follow me?!!! Wait---inside?!! Is she with me?!! Wait, where is Dahlia?! She might kill me if I'm left with her. Could she have sent Oreo away? Can't I go home to my mom?!
"Hey! I said follow me." she repeated when she noticed that I didn't move from where I was standing. But even though she repeated that, I still didn't move.
I don't want to! Later, she'll think of what to do with it.
I heard her sigh. That sigh that sounded like she was so tired of being with me.
"Parker. I'm not going to hurt you. I only want to talk. Now, get inside the room and close the door." she ordered again.
