Mila's POV

After I snapped at Adrian, I went into the closet to change. When I walked into the dark bedroom, I could hardly see a thing but someone how I felt someone was inside aside from Adrian. Although I didn't see the face of the lady, something about her voice seemed familiar, but I couldn't place my fingers on it. When she called me his bed warmer, something snapped inside me, but I knew I wasn't in the position to argue with her as I hadn't gotten that right over him yet. When she finally left, I turned around to continue drying my hair. I felt Adrian's hand rest on my shoulder. I felt all the anger I was holding burst open. I don't know how I got the courage, but I spilled my anger on him. I've had enough of his attitude.

As I walked into the closet, I felt a numbness in my heart for a second, and the next, I felt a strangling pain that was choking me. I let out a shrill yell as I blacked out.

I must have lost consciousness for a few hours because when I woke up, Adrian was lying next to me, his hands gold on my waist protectively. He must have fallen asleep while tending to me as he was holding a towel in his other hand. Part of me felt guilty for treating him like that as he was always there to take care of me when these happened. But another part seemed not to care as he was also a jerk.

He must have felt me moving as he opened his eyes to stare at me.

"How are you feeling now?" he asked.

"I'm fine,'' I replied, not knowing exactly what to say.

I straightened myself up from the bed. I wasn't feeling lightheaded as before. I think it was a new improvement. I didn't feel like talking to him so I just started moving towards the edge of the bed. I should probably freshen up as I was feeling slightly hungry.

"Mila," he called out.

I paused. Why was he calling my name? Couldn't he see this wasn't the best moment to talk to me? Just because he took care of me didn't mean I had simply forgotten about our argument last night I turned to face him without replying. If he wanted to say something, he'd better say it fast as I didn't have time. I didn't have anything I wanted to do now, but that didn't mean I had time to talk to him. He scratched his head as if he didn't know what to say.

Amazing. Alpha Adrian was lost for words. Like he is speechless. You don't get to see that often. He was cute in a kind of way.

What am I doing? Did I just refer to this Casanova as cute? I must be losing it.

"Well..." he started

"If you want to say something, you should say it," I replied, making my voice sound as uninterested as it could be.

"About last night," he continued.

"What part?" I interrupted.

"You know what I'm talking about," he said, frowning.

Okay. I shouldn't make this harder than it already is for him.

"Ok. So what about it?" I probed.

"I'm sorry. I promise I'll make it up to you," he apologized.

I rolled my eyes. He had been saying sorry since last night and it doesn't guarantee that he's going to change. He might just be saying it so I'll believe him and then when I am not expecting, he'd do something worse.

"You want to know what you can do to make it up to me?" I asked, sure he wasn't going to agree to it.

"Anything," he assured.

"Stop having affairs with all these women," I stated

"Done," he finalized.

I slightly raised my eyebrows. What did he mean done? He could t just tease me like this.

"I'm being serious," I whispered.

"I never said I was joking. As long as it makes you happy," he said.

Coming from him, that line sounded cringe. Why was he sounding like some guy who is in love or something? Jeez. He should stop acting like this.

"Stop it," I frowned

"Stop what? What did I do?" he questioned.

"Stop saying lines like that. I would feel like you're teasing me," I said.

'' I am not teasing you. Let's start over," he spoke

Is this guy crazy? What does he mean by start over?

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.

"Well, I haven't treated you right from the very beginning. Even though I can't acknowledge you or claim you as my mate, I should have done better," he started.

I felt butterflies roaming around my stomach and I frowned. This wasn't something I was supposed to be happy about. I was supposed to be angry, but here I was, feeling all funky inside.

"So you do know," I managed to keep my voice as natural as possible. It wouldn't be nice for him to know I was excited about this.

"Yes. Let's start with having dinner," he smiled slightly.

"Are you asking me out on a date?" I curiously inquired.

"Yes," he answered.

"You know that's not a nice way to ask a girl out on a date," I scoffed

"Then you could teach me," he teased.

"I won't," I smirked.

"So is my apology accepted?" he asked, staring at me expectantly.

"We will see about that. You have to prove your sincerity first to me," I said

"How do I do that?" he proved further.

"I don't know, you figure it out. You're the man," I shrugged my shoulders.

"This is getting harder than I thought," he smirked again

I started at him in amusement. What happened to him? Why was he being so nice and playful this morning? Well, guess I'll have to find out one way or the other. Or did he regret hurting me? Was he falling for me? Impossible but it'll be nice if he did.

"So you're going out with me right?" he asked

"Ok," I said and got off the bed

"Then get ready tonight then," He said and smiled
