“Ahmm, Drew, apology but I need to leave you here now. I need to go back to my room now as I forgot to bring my mobile phone. I am waiting for a call from my parents. If you will excuse me,” Daffodil said as her alibi so that she could escape from the presence of Drew. She did not feel comfortable having him around.
“How about your lunch, Daffodil?” Drew replied with a raised right eyebrow. He seemed to be not convinced of her reason to leave the dining area abruptly.
“Oh, I will just ask the maid to bring it to my room. Thanks for reminding me.”
“Miss Daffodil, are leaving now?” the maid who was approaching the dining table with food in her hands, asked Daffodil when she saw her walking out of the dining hall. “Here’s your food already, sorry if it took me long to bring it,” the maid added apologetically, thinking that Daffodil might have decided to leave the dining table because of the long waiting for the food.
“That’s good. Let me get it, I will just bring it to my room. Something urgent came up,” Daffodil smiled at the omega maid and then got the tray of food from her.
Walking in the corridor slowly with a tray of food in her hand, Daffodil was not able to notice Alpha Daedos about to pass her through. Her eyes and mind were focused on the food as she can feel once again the growling of her stomach.
Furrowing, Alpha Daedos stopped walking when he was almost side by side with Daffodil already. He looked at Daffodil who just walked straight ahead not even noticing him. He furrowed more when he saw the tray of food in her hand.
“Ahh, finally,” Daffodil smiled broadly as she entered her room. She then immediately put the tray of food on the wooden executive desk, which she requested from Lexus to be put inside her room so that she could use her laptop comfortably. She then sat on the executive chair which Lexus also brought in, matching the table.
Feeling already famished, Daffodil did not think twice about devouring the food in front of her. She even burped after clearing completely all the food on her plate which made her laugh at herself.
That night, Lexus came to her room with a serious expression.
“Hi Lex, you just arrived?” Daffodil asked after planting a kiss on his right cheek. Lexus wrapped her shoulders with his arms and they walked together inside the room.
“Yep, I just arrived, Sweety. I missed you so I immediately walked over here,” he said and winked at her.
“Hmm, I thought you have something serious to say since you look serious when I saw you there at the door.”
“I am just tired. Father sent me to three meetings, which started at lunchtime.”
“About?”
“Hmm, business. Father is starting to train me to handle the family’s businesses, which Drew has been trained before to do but refused to do so thereafter, reasoning out that what he wanted is to be an Alpha and not a businessman.” Lexus looked at Daffodil and sadly shook his head.
“Well, no comment about Drew, Sweety. By the way, I saw him this lunchtime at the dining area,” Daffodil informed him. She does not want him to learn about it from somebody else knowing that Lexus could easily get jealous.
“I see. Did you eat lunch together?”
“Nope. I just got my food there and then eat my lunch here in my room. I am not comfortable with Drew around. I cannot trust him still until now,” she said, and then she leaned on his shoulder.
“That’s good.” Lexus caressed her hair and then kissed her head for several times.
“You mean, what I did was fine? I might actually offend Drew when I suddenly decided to eat in this room instead of joining him in the dining area.”
“Let him be offended, as long as you did not intend to offend him, you are not to be feeling guilty. By the way, Sweety, our wedding is just a few days from now, did your parents already confirm that they are coming?” Suddenly, Lexus asked, which made Daffodil to stiffen.
“Oh, goodness, Sweety, I need to remind them. I was not able to ask them yet if they already booked their flights in coming here. I was busy finishing all my pending office work.”
Lexus chuckled and pretended to hurt, “Ouch, you seemed to be forgetting that we are getting married soon.”
Daffodil grinned at him then cupped his face and kissed him fast. Lexus took the opportunity to kiss her deeply and passionately.

They could feel both their bodies in high temperatures. Hotness started to envelop their senses, especially Lexus.
But Daffodil was able to remember their promise to each other and before Lexus’ right hand could take a hold of her breast, she was able to disengage from him already.
“Sweety, we have a promise to each other. We will make love again during our honeymoon,” she said while sheepishly grinning at him.
Lexus sighed and then he lay his body on the bed with his face relishing the soft mattress. “Grrr, I wanted to take you now, Sweety,” he said growling, and Daffodil could not help to giggle. Lexus looks so amusing.
“It is just a few days, and thereafter we can enjoy doing it all throughout, Sweety,” she retorted, trying to console him.
Lexus sighed again and then nodded. “Alright, as you said so my future Luna. I will wait. I will be patient.”
Daffodil grinned while looking at his back. She could not help to admire his perfectly muscled physics, which was evident in his gray polo shirt, hugging his body. A sudden heat shot through her core so she immediately stood up and decided to just call her father to distract her mind and eyes from Lexus.
She got her mobile phone on the bedside table and dialed her father's contact number, but she could not reach him.
