Inside the office of Alpha Daedos that afternoon, Lexus can be seen seated on the chair in front of his Alpha father's executive desk. He came to inform his Alpha father about what Trixie told him and about the meeting that he set for Trixie and Drew.
“Father, I suggested for Trixie to have a heart-to-heart talk first with Drew before she decides to finally reject him. She wanted to reject Drew.”
Alpha Daedos forehead furrowed. “Why would she reject Drew? If Drew does not like her at all, Drew should have rejected her long ago. So, yes, I agree that you suggested that to Trixie, as she might just be hurt and frustrated with Drew’s actions toward her.”
Lexus nodded at his Alpha Father. “That was what I thought off too, father when I heard Trixie say that she wanted to reject Drew at that time and that she wanted to know from me if Drew is still staying in his former room in this packhouse.”
“Do what you can do Lexus so that they will understand each other and eventually reconcile. I guess all they need is really to talk,” Alpha Daedos said as he stood up and walked toward Lexus. Alpha Daedos tapped his son’s shoulder and then looked at him with a smile on his lips. “I trust in you, Lexus, and I know things will be okay between Drew and Trixie,” he added.
Before ten o’clock the next morning, Lexus mind linked to Drew, asking him to come over to his office for something important.
“Alright, Lexus, I will be there in a minute,” Drew replied, luckily.
Just a moment later and Drew was already knocking on the door of Lexus’ office.
“Come in, Drew. The door is not locked,” Lexus outrightly replied as he knew that it was already Drew, who was knocking on his office door.
“What is it, Lexus that you wanted to discuss with me?” Drew asked as he entered the office. He was not even seated yet.
Lexus motioned to Drew to take a seat first, to which the latter followed.
When Drew was seated already, Lexus looked at him with seriousness in his facial expression. "Drew, I invited you here to my office because someone wanted to speak with you. She will be here in a minute," he then said in his usual tone.
“Who is she?” Drew asked with creases on his forehead.
“Trixie. It was the Alpha’s decision to let you and Trixie speak with each other first before anyone of you make any drastic decision against each other. Drew, Trixie wanted to reject you as she felt you, you despised being her mate and with your actions, you seemed to have rejected her already. Maybe she just wanted it to be formal.” Lexus keenly observed the reaction of Drew and somehow he found relief in seeing his hurt expression. It means Drew was affected.
Drew did not utter a word. He just nodded and waited for Trixie to come. Three minutes thereafter, Trixie came to Lexus’ office.
“Now that both of you are here already, I will step outside for a while. I hope you could talk to each other, using your hearts and not your anger.” After saying so, Lexus walked out of his office and left Drew and Trixie inside.

Silence reigned between Drew and Trixie for a couple of minutes, until Drew stood up from his chair and looked at Trixie with an unfathomable expression.
“You wanted to reject me as your mate, Trixie?” Drew asked thereafter with his voice in a casual tone. Trixie could not determine if he was not affected by her plan to reject him or yes, if he was affected too. Somehow, Trixie felt awkward and regretted to have told Lexus about her plan of rejecting Drew.
“So, Lexus told you already. What if I wanted to reject you, Drew? I wanted to reject you as my mate, free you from me and free myself from the mate bond that we have. I wanted to move on with my life and hope to find a second chance mate who would accept and love me because I am Trixie and not because of anything else.” Trixie with her chin held up, said. She does not want to look weak and regretful in front of Drew although deep inside a part of her and even her wolf inside does not really want to reject him.
Drew looked at her with his expression not changing. He seemed to be trying to be cold as he could in front of Trixie. “If you think it will be much better for you, Trixie, then do it. Anyhow, I have nothing to offer you. I have nothing now.” A sudden streak of sadness in Drew’s eyes did not go unnoticed by Trixie’s keen eyes.
“Don’t you really want me, Drew? Don’t you like me at all? What is it in me that you do not like? Am I that bad looking or unlikeable?” Trixie asked with her voice shaking. She was holding back her tears because she does not want to cry in front of him.
“Do I need to answer those questions of yours, Trixie? You should have felt if I don’t like or like you. We have mated several times, right? You should have at least determined what a man I am.” Drew said, with still a cold voice and gaze toward Trixie.
“I wanted you to tell, Drew, because if I would think about how you neglected me, I would think that you do not want me as your mate, and of course as your wife!” This time, Trixie was not able to hold back her tears anymore. She has mixed emotions and she could not determine now what to say to him. Should she reject her now, just to maintain her pride, or still tried to know if their relationship as mates has the possibility to be worked out?
“Whatever you wanted to think, Trixie, it is up to you. If you will excuse me now, I still have things to do,” Drew said and immediately walked out of the office of Lexus, leaving Trixie with tears flowing down.
