Drew was dumbstricken after hearing the words of his Alpha Father. How did his Alpha Father know that Trixie is his mate and not the Golden She-Wolf? Thereafter, his eyes narrowed guessing that it might have been Trixie who told his father.
“So, tell me, Drew, is it true that your true mate is Trixie and not the Golden She-Wolf?” Alpha Daedos asked Drew again, who still remained silent.
“No, father and if indeed she is, I will reject her outright,” Drew replied with teeth-gritting. He is the soon-to-be Alpha of the Mythical Silver Shadow Pack, who has all the privileges to claim the Golden She-Wolf as his mate.
Alpha Daedos shook his head. “Whoever is your mate, Drew, it means she was the one given to you by the Moon Goddess; someone who will make you strong and a powerful Alpha. Deny your mate and you will never be an Alpha of great power.”
“Trixie is not my mate, father. If you will excuse me, Alpha, I still need to train.” Drew said firmly before walking out of the Alpha’s office.
Alpha Daedos followed Drew’s back with an incomprehensible kind of look.
At the Beta’s house, Lexus father was sleeping when he arrived. He checked him and finding that he is fine, he went to the kitchen and checked if he has eaten already. Seeing some leftover food on the table, he could tell that his father has already eaten and he felt relieved.
He went to his room and laid his back on his bed. He closed his eyes, wanting to sleep and rest for a while. He wanted to forget first what is happening now. He just felt confused. If he will take Daffodil and fight for her, he will be losing his whole Mythical Silver Shadow Pack and he and Daffodil might end up being rogues. And, what will happen to his father if he will be a rogue?
Before Lexus was fully taken over by sleep, he received a message from his father through mindlink.
“Lexus, are you here?” his father asked and then he heard the noise of his walking feet coming nearer to his room.
“Yes, father. I am inside my room now. You need anything?” Lexus replied to him and decided to climb down from his bed and walked outside his room. He meets his father nearby his room’s door.
“Lexus?”
“Yes, yes father, it is me.”
“You are still having some trouble? How is Drew? I have not felt his presence for a while,” His father continued.
“Don’t worry about my troubles, father; I can handle it. Drew I believe is fine,” Lexus answered. When his father was still the Beta of Alpha Daedos, he was close to Drew like he was his own son. He was also the one who trained him in self-defense and martial arts.
“Would you tell Drew to at least visit me here from time to time, Lexus? The former Beta said again, to which Lexus nodded.
“Yes, father, don’t worry, I will tell him.”
“And one of these days, when I am ready enough, accompany me going to our Alpha Daedos,” Lexus’ father added.
“Of course, Father. Do you miss talking to Alpha Daedos? Do you miss being a Beta?”
His father nodded with sadness in his eyes. “Yes, Lexus. I missed everything. I have something important that I need to discuss with Alpha Daedos, at least before I die.”
“Father! Don’t say that. You will still live longer than you could ever imagine.” Lexus reprimanded his father for being morbid. The latter just looked at Lexus, with such a melancholic expression.

At the Packhouse of the Mythical Silver Shadow Pack, Alpha Daedos, Trixie, and Trixie’s Gamma Father are having a meeting, as Alpha Daedos cannot treat a very crucial issue, left unturned.
“Tell me, Trixie, is it really true that you and Drew are mates?” Alpha Daedos asked, to the surprise of Trixie’s Gamma Father.
“What did you say, Alpha? My daughter and your son are mates? How did it happen? Drew claimed that his mate is the Golden She-wolf, right?” The Gamma was furrowing as he asked the Alpha. He then looked at his daughter with a warning. If her daughter is making up stories, then he himself will punish her. Things like this are not to be lied upon.
Trixie looked at his father and the Alpha, then said confidently, “Yes, Alpha Daedos, I am the real mate of Drew, and Drew could feel it, although he kept on denying it because he wanted the Golden She-wolf for himself.” Trixie then glanced at his Gamma Father whose mouth fell open in awe.
When the Gamma suddenly came back to his senses, he faced his daughter with narrowed eyes, “Trixie, if you are just lying because you like Drew and you cannot find your mate yet, then stop it now!” he reprimanded her, although he could see in her daughter’s eyes the truthfulness of what she said.
Suddenly, hurt crept through Trixie’s face as she heard her father’s words. Teary-eyed, she looked at her father without batting an eye and reiterated what she said, “Father, Drew is my mate.”
With that Alpha Daedos and the Gamma, looked at each other meaningfully.
“Trixie, you may go now. I and your father still have something to discuss,” Alpha Daedos said to which Trixie nodded and left after excusing herself.
“Gamma, there is something that we need to do about this. After me, you are the wisest, so think about how we can settle this problem.”
“Looking at my daughter Alpha Daedos, I know she was telling the truth. But since Drew is denying the fact that they are mates, we need to test Drew on this,” The Gamma said smiling.
“Then what are you thinking Gamma?” Alpha Daedos suddenly became curious.
The Gamma smiled and moved his mouth near the Alpha’s right ear and whispered to him his proposed plan.
