Chapter 68 068

Chapter 68 068
Aveline’s POV

I didn't know why I felt different, but I felt alive. It was as if I had finally reunited with something I had lost, and I loved the feeling of it, especially the fear in their eyes when they looked at me. It satisfied a thirst I never knew existed.

“Aveline, please… let us go?” Thalia begged, stepping away from the rest and walking toward me, but I sneered loudly, and she stumbled backward.

“Let you go?” I thundered, feeling the ground shake beneath me as lightning split the sky. “You don’t deserve any mercy, Thalia, and I’m going to show every one of you what I’m made of!” I screamed, and another surge of energy rushed through me.

As I basked in my anger, I noticed the men moving toward me, their wolves grumbling as they approached. I let them come. When one lunged at me, I avoided the attack swiftly.

He froze mid-lunge, confusion flashing through his eyes, probably wondering how an Omega like me could overpower him. I tightened my hands around his neck, not giving him a breath, and the rest of the men stepped backward.

“You really thought you could overpower me?” My voice vibrated with something ancient..something that wasn’t asking a question; it was declaring a truth.

My wolf snarled with arrogance as I watched the man struggle for air. Blinded by anger, I hurled him across the cliff, and his scream for help made me realize I had thrown him over the edge.

But it didn’t disgust me.

In fact, something inside me felt charged.

“You monster… you should die!” another man yelled as they attacked. We engaged in a fistfight, but they were no match for me.

I eliminated one quickly, but the other proved difficult, testing my strength, so I decided to play with him.

“Ahh!” I screamed as he landed a punch on my face, his claws slicing my lip. I touched my lips, and when I saw my own blood, my eyes burned with vengeance.

I would make him pay.

“You!” I roared, grabbing his hand as a smirk curled on my lips.

The wind tore across the cliff, hitting hard enough to make me shiver, but it bent around me instead of pushing me back. The man snarled and forced himself forward, trying to defy my control, but I broke every bone in his arm. I watched his muscles tremble as he lunged at me again.

I let him. I wanted him to feel the illusion of hope before I crushed it.

“Die!” he screamed.

The moment he reached striking distance, I stepped aside faster than he could track, caught him by the throat, and slammed him onto the rock hard enough to crack it. Power surged through my palm, glowing faintly, burning against his fur. His growl broke into a choke.

The cliff wind roared, lifting dust and shards of stone, swirling around us like a storm orbiting its master.

“You came here thinking I was the weak one,” I whispered, leaning close. I twisted my grip, forcing him onto his back as he thrashed. “But I’ll show you what it means to mess with me.”

He slashed upward in desperation, but I caught his wrist mid-swipe, crushed it in my fingers, and threw him across the cliff. He hit the ground, rolling and skidding dangerously close to the edge. He tried to lift himself, scrambling, but with a single kick, I sent him tumbling down the abyss to join the others.

“Looks like we’re the only ones left,” I muttered as I faced Lady Yana and Thalia. They paled with fear, their hands clasped together.

“Don’t come near us… don’t…” Thalia begged, but I didn’t listen. I lunged at her, grabbing her by the neck and dragging her up, her legs swinging midair as she fought for her life. I looked at her, my breath steady, completely unshaken.

“Thalia, I trusted you, but it seems I shouldn’t have,” I growled. “I’m not done showing you what I’ve become. I’m going to watch you burn in hell…”

“Aveline!” a voice snapped behind me. I dropped Thalia roughly and turned to see Draven, his eyes shining, not with fear, but excitement.

“Draven, you’re back. I’m teaching this unruly woman a lesson. Wait for me,” I said, wanting to finish Yana before following him back to the palace.

“No. You’re not doing anything,” Draven deadpanned, and I growled in frustration.

“Why? They asked for it, so why can’t I take care of them my way?”

I told him everything that happened, every detail from when I was dragged here. While I spoke, Thalia crawled away, but she didn’t matter. Yana was the one I wanted.

“That’s why you shouldn’t interrupt me. I’m going to kill her myself.”

“You don’t want to do this,” Draven murmured, but I didn’t listen. I was too blinded by anger. All I wanted was to destroy Yana.

I believed everything would be fine as long as I took her out. Then no one would bully me again in the palace. And the voice inside me supported that too.

“Stay away from this, Draven. I’m going to devour her and..” I started, but Draven cut me off as he rushed forward, shielding Yana with his own body.

“What are you doing with her? Get away from her right now!” I roared.

“If you’re going to devour her, then you’ll have to go through me first,” he breathed.

My blood boiled.

He was protecting that evil woman after everything I told him? How could he betray me like that?

You should take him out. He’s not someone you should protect.
The whisper slithered through my mind, and my vision darkened as I looked at Draven.

“Really? Then I have no choice but to tear you apart!” I howled, charging at him without thinking. If he wanted to stand against me, I would ruin him.

But before I could strike, a sharp pain exploded in my neck.

Draven struck first.

“Ahh!” I howled, falling to my knees as I clutched my neck. My vision blurred, my body weakening. But then Draven wrapped his arms around me, pulling me against his warmth, and the shock of it jolted me back to reality.

What had I done?

“It’s fine. You’re safe with me now, Aveline… so sleep,” I heard him whisper, his voice fading as darkness pulled me under.

But did I truly want to hurt Draven?
