Chapter 4-

-Lorenzo's Pov-

I could feel my heart beating harder and faster against my rib cage as I rushed out of that room. It wasn't something that I planned before. I just wanted to trouble her a little and get the stuff done, but she seems to trouble my mind more. Her red hair and blue eyes made me feel more of a deeper connection with her. It was a completely alien and stupid feeling but it was almost magnetic in its own way.

I ran my fingers through my hair as I turned once again to look at the door of her room. I did debate a little if I should lock her up there or let it be. She's sassy but knows her place and it isn't like she can run from here.

No one has ever been able to run from this world once they entered in, the darkness has consumed in us all, made all our hands dirty with blood.

Yes, it wasn't one of the rooms that we would give to our members, their were mainly in the basement. Not much different than is one but a lot more smaller and the rooms were closely placed for better assessment. But Jess was different. Not in any special type but because she has come in a very unusual way. We have never forced anyone to join the Mafia, it has always been consenting adults and very few times we pick utterly devastated people who otherwise would just simply end their lives.

But James had go and fuck up this once. We have always kept out work as discreet as possible and now goes my record just because James couldn't keep away from that feisty little girl. I would have, without a single thought killed James if he hadn't been one my best men.

We cannot put up her with others right now. Not until we knew more about her. James could only gather the superficial details about her till now.

Her name is Jessica St. Jones, which was the surname given to her by her foster parents who had abandoned her for some foreign reason which I do not care about. She hasn't had the best life, well screw that she has had a miserable life. She lived in almost a broken place down the street, just about twenty minutes from 'Doughy Delights.'

This is the only details that James could gather and it wasn't enough.

I was in sheer need of knowing more about her. I needed to get this under control, a petite and poor girl like her cannot play with my mind this easily. She was almost playing with my mind even without doing anything. We had hardly spoken over hundred syllables and she was wrecking my nerves.

I am better than this.

And right now I needed to distract myself. I walked down the corridor to reach the elevator which would lead to my floor.

I couldn't really focus on work at this point so why don't I have some fun with my little sluts. I could feel the bulge grow in my pants which was from long asking for a little attention that it was gonna soon get. The door of the elevator opened with a click as I walked into my floor.

Without bragging much, my floor was actually the best in the Mansion and the second being that of Lexi. Being the heads we had the complete liberty to design our own floors and it almost reflected our individual tastes. I walked through the corridors of my floor to reach my room, I honestly needed a break, the day was already too eventful.

I entered inside my room after placing my thumb on the door lock, this had only mine and-

Oh wow !

I watched the eye-catching sight of Veronica sitting on my bed, in a sheer piece of satin lingerie which costed me over a thousand dollars but hey it does its part so I could easily over look that specially at this moment.

"You look so stressed baby," I heard her voice calling me out as I stood at the entrance. This was almost the scene every day until I get tired with playing this one and get to the other one. They were being well paid and protected for what they do here so they have anything to complain.

And yeah getting up into my bed was an achievement in its own to. There was a strict rule of having no sexual relationship between any employee or employee with their Mafia King. It was all temporary, all lust. Anything as pure as love could never bloom in here where everyone derived happiness from other's pain.

I sighed before moving towards the bed as she removed the transparent black lace gown in a teasing slow motion in an attempt to tempt me.

But nothing happened. It made me feel even more frustrated as the same sight yesterday made me pin her to the desk beside the bed and ravish her entire body but today nothing.

Not even a little.

"Come here," I forwarded my hand and ordered in my low hoarse voice. She obeyed immediately and hopped down from the bed to walk towards me in what I can call in perfect cat walk movement.

But all this was failing to get to my mind. I caught her arm as soon as she was in an arm's distance from me and pulled her right into me, her chest colliding with mine as I hastily captured her lips with mine. I felt her hands trying to snake around my neck, which I hated the most. It showed affection which was a fake concept.

"No touching at all," I whispered against her lips while tugging on her lower lips to which she obeyed immediately, letting her hands fall to her sides.

She simply stood there with closed eyes and ragged breaths as I harshly nibbled at her neck. Just when I felt myself getting lost in the moment, her image clicked into my mind making me completely halt my actions.

I detached myself from Veronica when she tried to hold my arm to stop me but I pushed her away, making her stumble two steps behind me. I could feel my muscles tense as I moved away from Veronica, my hands going through my hair in a failed attempt to calm myself down.

No this was not working.

"Baby ?" I heard a meek voice from back causing more anger to brew in me.

"Leave."

I heard the door behind me closing as she hurriedly left knowing what I was capable of doing when I was in a bad mood. I cannot believe that I actually did that. I just asked an utterly sexy woman to leave just because I am not being able to get a silly and stupid girl out of my mind.

I deeply sighed once more before unbuttoning my shirt and tossing it off to the other side. I walked to the mini cabinet bar across my bed to fetch myself a drink. I took out one of the branded bottle of whiskey. I probably can't even fall asleep without having a bottle of these. The only thing I could imagine now was having that Carrot Top on my bed, exactly where Veronica was. No. Fuck No. I wasn't going to let her get into my head like this.

I gulped down the entire raw whiskey while trying to shift my focus from her, but everything I did brought me back to her thoughts. The moments of her wrapped in that little towel, the way she bit her lower lip everytime she was nervous rushing back into my mind, frustrating me further before I threw the bottle onto the floor. The sound of the glass cracking relaxing the fire inside me.

When lust doesn't work pain does. I bent down to pick one of the broken glass shards and held the piece tightly, before pressing it onto the flesh of my palm. Crimson blood spilled out and stained the carpet below but it relieved me. The pain always dulled my emotional distress.

"Are you out of your freaking mind !" I heard a voice, no yelling, pulling me out from my blissful slumber. Lexi stood there, huffing, tears running down her face as she snatched the piece of glass from my hand bringing me back to reality. And the reality was just lonely making me angry. Angry at Lexi.

"You know I could just kill you right now and no one would ever know what happened to you?" I screamed, pinning Lexi to the wall by her neck. Lexi didn't struggle making me punch the wall beside her hard, the blood from my hand dripping from them.

"You know I don't really care right ? Your hand is already bleeding so do it and make me just another name on that stupid wall of yours or wake up and start living a life Enzo," Lexi screamed back, not backing off making me sigh.

"You shouldn't be stalking me," I replied, trying to calm myself down. Lexi was my only family, and I as ashamed I was to admit this to her, I was scared that I would scare her into abandoning me.

"I wouldn't if my brother wasn't hell-bent on harming himself. You have over a hundred victims sitting in our prison whom you could easily kill, torture, or maim but still, here you are doing it to yourself," Lexi answered, frustrated with me.

"I did kill, sister, and that kill needed a memorial," I answered, my voice feeble as I walked away from her to reveal the wall that she mentioned before. I pulled the curtain off the wall using my other hand which revealed the wall, different from all others in the building. It was old, crusty and bore the evidence of all my doings, all my killings. I smeared my blood onto the wall and took the marker to write down the name, the feeble blond boy who died today.

"And the 1261st one looks good doesn't it Lex, the wall is getting more and more filled just like we wanted," I spoke, looking proudly at my artwork.

"No. No Enzo I don't want this, not anymore it's your own sick thinking that you cant get out of your mind even after 8 freaking years," Lexi yelled, wiping the tears that were still falling from her eyes aggressively before running out of my room.

Loneliness. That's all I felt, all the time and this was my comfort. Memorizing my victims, knowing that I caused them pain was all that kept me going.
