Chapter 50 Long Long To Take
Chapter 50 Long Long To Take
Lucian's POV
“Carry her, Boss. We’re not moving until you do.”
That night, I'd cursed under my breath, but in the end, I bent down, and lifted her into my arms.
She felt light—fragile, as her head rested softly against my chest like she belonged there. And that was how I took Riley home that night.
I remembered how everything spiraled after that.
She had woken up in my estate confused, embarrassed.
She was no longer drunk, so she was now in her right senses.
She tried to act tough, tried to pretend she didn’t care and even claimed that I might have forced or kidnapped her into my house.
But one argument only led to another. One look led to another.
And gradually, the tension between us grew crazy.
We kept throwing words at each other and she wouldn't believe me when I told her that she'd walked into the men's restroom to ease herself.
“You’re arrogant,” she had told me.
“You’re reckless,” I'd fired back immediately. But behind all that heat was something else. Something strong. Something pulling us closer and closer.
One thing led to another and I'd pressed her against the wall to shut her up but I didn't even realize when I slammed my lips against hers.
We ended up together that night.
She wasn't drunk.
She was fully aware.
Fully conscious, but she hadn't rejected it.
At first, she tried to fight it, but I was quick to grab her wrists and pin them just above her head against the wall. With my frame pressing her hard against the wall, she could barely move an inch.
She just stood there as I forced the kiss on her.
Soon, she melted into the kiss. Then, suddenly, she stiffened and yanked her wrists free from my grip. She pushed me onto the bed and surprisingly crawled on top of me.
Her hands moved really fast, and she went for my belt. In less than a minute, her lips were already working on my cock, rough and smooth at the same time.
I pressed her head firmly against it as I continued to slide into her throat.
I'd cum hard on her face before flipping her over onto the bed and fucked her so hard she'd passed out and woken up again.
And it wasn’t planned. It wasn’t soft. It was intense, full of emotions we didn’t even understand.
And somehow, after that, I couldn’t push her away. I tried. God knows I tried. But Riley became the only woman who broke through my walls.
The only one who made me laugh. The only one who made me feel what I never felt before. I'd fallen hard. Too hard.
Lost in thought, I suddenly blinked hard at my reflection and realized I was smiling. Smiling in a hospital restroom while the woman I claimed not to love was fighting for her life. My smile faded instantly.
“You’re pathetic,” I muttered quietly.
After a while, I straightened my tie, adjusted my suit like I was putting my mask back on. “That was five years ago. She betrayed you. She stole from you. She disappeared.” The voice in my head suddenly hardened.
“Don’t forget how she broke you.” I whispered silently while I ran my hand through my hair and exhaled slowly.
But deep down, I knew the truth. If she didn’t matter, I wouldn’t be here—I wouldn’t have carried her into that hospital like my world was ending. I wouldn’t have almost killed Tessa for badmouthing her.
And just like that, I turned off the tap, dried my hands slowly, then stared at myself one last time. “Get it together,” I whispered.
“Riley is in surgery. Tessa is out there coughing because of you. And Dominic…” I paused. Dominic’s disappointed face suddenly flashed in my mind. “Maybe he hates you now.” That thought hurt more than I expected.
I swallowed hard, then squared my shoulders, and walked to the door.
The moment I stepped out of the restroom, the hospital hallway suddenly felt colder. Reality hit me again like a slap. Riley fighting for her life. Tessa probably still shaking on the floor. Dominic waiting.
And me? I was stuck in the middle of my own anger, my own guilt, and a love I kept pretending didn’t exist.
