Enzo
I made a few calls and found out a few dates when the other families are available for a cocktail party the sooner, we get this done the sooner Cat will be safe and she won’t feel like a prisoner. When I was finally done, I went looking for her I went straight to my room, because that is where she normally would be, but as I open the door, I already knew she wasn’t in my room, I called out but no one answered so I went to her room. I called out as I open the door but still no answer then I heard the bath water, so I walked to the bathroom. When I stepped into the bathroom all I heard was Cat sobbing. “Oh God Angel.” I said as I took a towel from the warmer rail and picked her up out of the bath, I wrapped her in the towel picked her up again and walked with her to my bedroom. I put her down with her feet on the floor and dried her I grabbed one of my t-shirts pulled it over her head, got rid of my cloths and put her in the bed holding her to me. She was still crying she didn’t stop for a second.
“Hey hey what’s going on?” She didn’t stop crying she just cried and cried I don’t think she could even speak. I rubbed her back and just held her; there could be so many things wrong I didn’t know were to start. She sobbed one last time before words I never thought I would hear from her came out of her mouth, “Why don’t you want me anymore? Why do I have to leave this house?” I held a little tighter against me “Angel you knew from the beginning we are sharing you and you will have to live with each of us for a week at a time.” “But why I feel at home here I don’t want to leave Enzo.” She grabbed ahold of me “Please don’t kick me out, I’ll do better.” Fuck we really did fuck up, we didn’t think this through. “I’m not kicking you out angel you will come back to me.” “I feel safe in your house I feel safe with you.” She begged me. I started to feel like a real asshole for not thinking this through and how this would affect her. Fuck we should have known. “Oh angel.” I didn’t know what to say, I can’t tell her again she knew this was going to happen from the start, that would just be nasty. “Angel, you want to stay a bit longer with me?” “No, I want to stay here forever I don’t want to move from house-to-house Enzo, I’ve been through this my whole life I don’t want to go through this again. I thought I’ll get some stability with you guys but now you just pawing me off to the next person the next house.” “Angel, you knew we were going to share you.” She pulled away her eyes red from all the crying “I know Enzo I just thought it would be easier but this is to much like foster care. You don’t want me anymore now you send me to the next house. In a week’s time Nico wouldn’t want me then he’ll send me to Frank and so on and so on.” I was wondering was it because of the men or was it something else? I just held her and let her cry rubbing her back when she eventually calmed down, I sat upright and pulled her with me. “Angel, I have a question for you?” “What?” “Is it because you don’t want to be with the other men, don’t you want to be shared anymore or is it because you have to move from house to house?” She looked up at the ceiling then back at me. “No Enzo, I don’t mind being shared I just don’t want to move from house to house. I want stability. That is something I always craved. Every house I was in I tried to do my best for that family to love me so that they could keep me but every single time I would be moved, no matter how good I did in school no matter what I did, they will always let me go. No one ever wanted me.” “Oh God angel, I want you we all want you and that is the problem we want you so badly we want you to stay with us, but I think I have an idea something that will keep everyone happy and you most of all.” “What you not going to send me to Nico tomorrow?” She looked so hopeful that I couldn’t tell her yes, I’m still going to do that. “No angel you can stay with me I just need to talk to the men first okay but you will have to be with them one way or another.” “I don’t have a problem with being with them I have a problem moving house to be with them.” “Okay I’ve got it.” She laid down again with her head on my chest, I rubbed her back until she fell asleep. I waited for her to properly be asleep before I got out of bed. I made sure she was closed with the duvet before I walked down to my office to call the others. We fucked up and now we need to fix it.
I called Nico first before I let the others join because he would understand and he can help me explain this to the others. “Enzo thought you be in bed with Cat already?” He answered the phone. “Nico, we fucked up.” “Why?” “You saw the face she made when you asked if you should pick her up?” “I did.” “Well, it’s because she feels she’s back in the foster care system.” That was all I needed to say Nico immediately knew what happened. “Oh fuck” “Yes oh fuck, she cried herself to sleep Nico.” “Fuck Enzo then she can’t come to me tomorrow we need a new plan.” “I think I have one but I need your help to convince the other two.” “I’m listening.”
