Chapter 21 DOMINATING

Chapter 21 DOMINATING
“For how long have you been after me?” I questioned him, raising a skeptical eyebrow at him.

“Longer than you can imagine.” He replied, teasing me by biting his lower lips in a promiscuous manner, forcing me to be irritated again, but I handled it just well enough.

Or I could say, I was getting used to this from him already.

I leaned closer to him, touching his crotch with my knee which forced his eyes to widen at my bold move against him.

“Careful now, girl.” He breathed out huskily.

I smiled through the corner of my lips as I watched him.

“Vanessa… you're playing it rough already.” He warned.

“Why?” I asked, picking up a seductive act that matched with my tone. “You don't have the balls to take it?” I continued, deliberately pressing my knee a little more at his crotch that I could feel the thickness of that secluded area of his while I watched him get all sensitive.

“Fuck!” He groaned, his head falling to the back while the veins on his neck pressed against his skin, revealing how tense they had gotten in their tricky wavy lines.

A man will always be a man.

I tutted at him, still pressing the scissors against his throat.

“Do it, Vanessa.” He said, his voice still husky and tensed.

“What?” I asked cluelessly.

“You're one lucky woman, aren't you? You get to kill Santiano Rafael Devereaux in two ways— almost at the same time if that's preferably your choice, so make a pick…” He paused and nervously licked his lower lips before he continued. “Which one will it be? The scissors…” He directed my eyes towards my knee which was still pressed against him. “Or that?”

This man is crazy.

I swore hard at him in my thoughts at how riveting it was dealing with him.

Indeed it would take a crazy woman to tame him and I can see myself becoming one around him already.

“I'm all yours, mommy.” He declared, his playful grin appearing again. “You're in control now; you have overpowered me; you are the one dominating me now.”

I suddenly felt chills, not sure I could take it anymore. He was being too much and I could feel my defense falter already.

“I- I'll just go try another dress on. Today's your lucky day.” I said to him in a stutter at first, trying to make for an escape from him.

I knew I couldn't bring myself to do anything to him. I wasn't ready enough to do that and I was sure I was going to regret not making a try for it sooner than later, but the thought of having a man's blood on my hand was scary and I wouldn't want to be known as a murderer.

I was only twenty-four.

I tried to pull away by getting off him, but Rafael had pulled me back to himself before I could finally escape and this forced my hand to slip back towards his chest, just a little above his heart region— this I had assumed, but it was close enough.

He grunted while I gasped out loud. My hands wrapped around my mouth in an instant, the realization of what had just happened sweeping me off my feet.

His men instinctively tried to reach for their guns again, but Rafael's warning to the earlier made them drawn back.

“Sir!” Marco jumped in immediately.

“I- I didn't mean to.” I cried to him in a stutter, surprised I had actually stabbed into his chest with the scissors I had been holding.

Rafael pulled the scissors out of his chest, wincing a little at the pang of pain that traveled through him the moment he touched the little weapon.

“Told you to be careful, Nessa… knives are dangerous objects to carry around for a woman of refined grace like you.” Rafael said, tossing the scissors aside.

“That was a scissors.” I replied instinctively, still burdened by the weight of what I had done to him, but instead of being agreeable, he laughed heartily.

“You're laughing? You find this funny?” I cried again.

“What you said was cute and funny, I couldn't help myself but laugh at it, I'm sorry.” He replied, still grinning.

I pouted, not sure for how long I could continue to handle this man for.

It was clear he was in pain, even if it was at the slightest compared to his deals in the Mafia underworld yet, he was seemingly finding fun in this situation.

His grin slowly melted, but his smile never completely got washed off his face. Then his hand reached up to my face and he began to fondle my cheek— at first, to console me from thinking about what had just happened.

“It wasn't your fault, Nessa. It was mine. I pulled you back and it happened. Do not blame yourself for this, alright?”

Maybe he had read my mind because I really needed him to say to me that I wasn't at first before I could finally feel at peace.

I could never hurt anything, not even a fly, but now, it's the man before me.

I nodded curtly, accepting this from him.

“You are very beautiful, Nessa. I don't want to ever take my eyes off you— not even for once.” He confessed.

The look in his eyes, his touch, all at that moment…

They held a contrasting feeling within me and I could already imagine what route this ship was sailing around at.

This man; Santiano Rafael Devereaux…

He always had a lot to say like he knew I could never get tired of hearing him say those words to me and he wanted me to get used to this coming from him.

“You should get your wound treated.”

That was all I had to say…

That was all I needed to say…

He gave me a sharp nod and we left the complex while he left an order to get the custom made dresses he had handpicked from the magazine he had been reading earlier to be sent to his estate as soon as they were ready.
