Morning arrived faster than expected, bringing with it a storm of rage burning through Alice’s veins.
She yanked her wrist, but Scar’s grip remained firm. Her voice rose like thunder. “This time, I swear I will end Francesco! That bastard has the crypt key, yet he still dares to attack our men? And Brinda… That woman is nothing but a damn nuisance! I should have dealt with her long ago.”
Scar’s jaw tightened. “Do you even hear yourself? Do you know how dangerous the Dante family is?”
Alice let out a bitter laugh. “And do you not know how ruthless our boss can be?”
Scar’s expression darkened. “Have you forgotten what Francesco’s father did to your mother?”
The words hit her like a blade to the chest. Her fury flickered, replaced by a suffocating wave of guilt and regret. Her heart pounded, her throat tightened, and she clenched her fists, fighting the tears burning behind her eyes.
“Why the hell would you bring that up?” She whispered, her voice cracking.
“You needed a reminder.” Scar’s tone softened, but his eyes remained sharp. “Do you want to end up like your mother? Patience, Alice. That’s the key.”
Alice’s body went rigid as memories of that night — the night she failed her mother — rushed back in cruel waves.
The blood.
The screams.
The betrayal.
“If I had listened to Don that night…” She muttered, almost to herself. “Then maybe… Maybe she would still be alive.”
Scar stepped closer.
“If you die now, will she be at peace? If you truly want revenge on Francesco, you need to be smart. You need to plan then strike when the time is right.”
Alice’s nostrils flared as her chest rose and fell rapidly. “There is no time.” She shoved Scar back with all her strength. “I don’t care if I die in the process!”
Without another word, she turned and bolted down the stairs. She could hear Scar’s footsteps pounding behind her, but she didn’t stop.
She couldn’t stop.
She needed to make Francesco pay.
And that too… Now!!!
Alice swung the door open — Only to be met with a tall figure blocking her path.
Marshall.
Behind him stood a group of men, their expressions unreadable.
“Where do you think you are going in such a rush?” His voice was calm, but the weight behind it was suffocating.
Scar caught up, breathless. “She is heading to the Dantes mansion.”
Marshall’s lips curled into a knowing smirk. “I figured as much.” He grabbed Alice’s arm and pulled her close. “Don’t play smart, Alice. You will regret it.”
His grip loosened slightly before he turned to his men. “Lock her in her room. And make sure it's heavily guarded.”
Alice thrashed as the men seized her, kicking and clawing, but it was pointless. Five men against her?
She never stood a chance.
Marshall watched impassively as they dragged her away, then turned on his heel and stormed toward his car.

The engine roared to life as he sped through the streets, his mind consumed by the chaos unfolding. His fingers gripped the steering wheel tighter with every passing second.
Alice’s reckless rage had ignited something inside him — A fire, a hunger for control. Francesco had played his hand.
Now, it was Marshall’s turn.
The car screeched to a stop in front of Alessia Santini’s secret hideout. Without waiting, he swung the door open and strode inside. The guards who took another car barely had time to acknowledge him before he was already moving up the stairs, almost into the house.
He was greeted by Alessia's men who were smoking heavily — You know, the kind of situation whereby you are happy with the turnaround of things.
“What are they so happy about?” Marshall muttered.
One of the men saw Marshall. He signalled to the man closer to the blaring speaker. The music went off.
“She’s in her room,” one of them muttered.
Marshall didn’t slow down as he scurried his way up the stairs heading to Alessia's room. He reached the door and pushed it open…
Only to be met with a sight that made his blood boil.
“Oh, fuck… You’re so damn good. Cum inside me. I want to feel you so badly.” Alessia moaned, her body arched as she clung to the sheets.
The man behind her thrust harder, his breath ragged. “Mistress, I’m gonna cum…”
Marshall’s fury exploded. He kicked the center table hard, the sound echoing through the room.
But the two lustful individuals were too lost in their pleasure to stop. It wasn’t until they reached their climax that Alessia finally shoved the man away after he tried to cover her. Her eyes filled with disgust.
“Who the hell do you think you are?” She snapped, pushing him off the bed. “You are just a toy. Get out!”
The man scrambled to gather his clothes, only to freeze when he saw Marshall standing there, tapping his foot against the floor.
Marshall’s eyes burned into him.
The man lowered his head and rushed past him, vanishing without another word as his big dick dangled left and right to Marshall's shock.
Alessia sighed, unfazed, and turned to Marshall. “How long have you been standing there?”
Marshall ignored her question. “Is this what you do? Turn your men into slaves for your pleasure?” His voice was sharp, filled with contempt.
Alessia let out a laugh, stretching lazily. “Oh, please. What do you men do with women? Don’t act like you’re any better.”
Marshall’s lip curled. “It’s written in the Bible that ‘Man shall have dominion over everything on Earth.’ That explains it.”
Alessia scoffed. “Oh, look at you, quoting the Bible now. How amusing.” She slipped out of bed, her bare body glowing under the dim lights. As she moved toward the wardrobe, she took her time pulling out a pink towel, wrapping it around herself. “I don’t have time for your lectures. What do you want?”
Marshall’s patience snapped. “Ever since you joined forces with me, nothing has changed! Francesco is still ahead!”
Laughter erupted from Alessia’s lips. She glided toward the cozy seating area and sank into her chair, crossing her legs.
Just then, a maid entered with a tray of champagne. As she bent to place it down, Marshall’s gaze flickered to her backside. For a brief second, his lips almost parted, temptation lingering…
But Alessia caught the moment and smirked.
After the maid left, she poured herself a drink. “Trust me, I have it all covered. If you want the maid to kill time with, go ahead.”
Marshall’s expression hardened. “Are you serious right now?” His voice was dangerously low. “I’m talking about real problems, and you…” He exhaled sharply. “I don’t want this partnership anymore.”
Alessia swirled her drink, unfazed. “I knew you would say that eventually.”
Marshall’s eyes darkened. “What nonsense is this?” His rage burned hotter. “You Santinis… I should have never trusted you.” He took a step closer, his voice like venom. “Maybe it was a good thing that the Dantes killed your father five years ago.”
Alessia stilled.
The air in the room thickened.
Then, she chuckled softly. “It’s not your shot to call.” She poured another drink and raised the glass. “Do you care for a ‘goodbye’ drink?”
Marshall’s eyes blazed with fury. “Go to hell.”
Alessia leaned back, smiling. “You will want to stick around, Marshall. Danger lurks in the shadows. The story is about to take a drastic turn. So, tell me… Are you still on my team?”
