CHAPTER 143 (Second-Gen)
CHAPTER 143 (Second-Gen)
Nadia was dressed in black baggy jeans, black sneakers, and a matching hoodie. She was waiting on the back asle of the bakery on her motorcycle.
"Whisper. What's you visual?" She spoke with Raymond in his codename.
Raymond sighed through the ear piece" Still baking"He replied" This guy has been baking for the past three hours. How does anybody stay sane after baking so many desserts. That is literally his two hundredth cupcake that his putting frosting on" He whined. "And, he still has more baking in the oven"
Nadia sighed. Bring Raymond was by far the most terrible idea that Nadia had ever come up with In fact on every single mission that Nadia had to bring Raymond in always leads to her almost strangling him to death.
But, unfortunately his perfect for this mission. He's called Whisper for a reason, and that is his ability to sneak into any highly protected places with complete silence. He could steal pants from a person while their still wearing them.
"Raymond focus! Just keep an eye on his every movement, and stop whining you had no problem coming along when I told you to" She said, and rolled her shoulders.
Raymond sighed"Fine. His moving anyways seems like his heading in the backasle. Wait, isn't that where you are? "He asked, and Nadia sighed.
Almost immediately the back doors to the bakery opened, and Nadia stepped of her motorcycle. Her eyes locked with Patrick, and for a second she thought he was going smile at her like he always did, but then his racked her from head to toes.
His eyes switched into five different colors, before he suddenly turned the other side, and ran away. Nadia was caught of guard, and just stood frozen.
"Hello, earth to Nadia. His running away. Shouldn't you be chasing him?" Raymond said, from the ear piece, snapping Nadia back to reality.
She ran after him, she stopped at the end of the asle, and looked around. The street was full of cars going back, and forth. She sighed, and pressed her ear piece.
" Victor? "She said, and continued around.
" His moving fast towards Viper street "He said, and Nadia immediately ran in that direction.
She stepped into the busy street, and avoides cars until she reached the other side. Her movements were smooth, and swift as she ran past people like a bullet leaving nothing but a breeze.
" Turn left!" Victor instructed. His fingers moving swiftly on his keyboard.
Nadia turned to the direction given, and her eyes locked on Patrick who was panting as he ran as fast as he could. The sound of Nadia's shoes pounding the floor caught on his face, and his face turned pale in horror.
He ran even faster in hopes of out running her but it was impossible. She was so fast that Patrick almost mistook her for a rugby player running after the ball from an opposing team.
Nadia didn't waste any time, and tackled him to the ground in front of a whole crowd. People gasped but didn't try to help.
"No!! Help!!" He tried to crawl away but was grabbed by the ankles, and dragged back. "Help!!" He yelled.
Nadia's anger snapped, and flipped him on his back, before landing a nose crunching punch to the nose. His head fell back, and he groaned. He rolled over as his hands covered his broken nose.
"You asked for it" She shrugged, and pulled him back on his feet. "Come on!" She dragged him away, and everyone in the crowd moved out of the way.
Axel shifted uncomfortable on his seat, and glanced at Peyton who had his eyes on the road. He felt so nervous that he almost threw up his breakfast.
He was a bit surprised considering that yesterday he was bold enough to get even make Nadia come, but suddenly today he was as timid as a bride.
The silence in the car stretched, Nad Axel couldn't take it anymore.
"C.. Can I asked where we're going?" He asked, and Peyton glanced at him.
He was silent for a while, as he drove through the street. He tapped his hands on the steering wheel before finally speaking.
"You know. I always used to think that the only person I loved was Nadia." He glanced at Axel, and smiled "She has always been this kind, and smart girl who never let's anyone mess with her. But, throughout the years in which I'd known her she only had one flaw. Well.....at least I thought it was a flaw. She always had this odd interest for broken things, or I'd say that she had a thing for broken people " Axel sat in silence, and listened, his gaze on the side profile of Peyton's face.
" There was a time I thought that she only rejected me because I wasn't broken. That maybe if I was one of those 'broken things' she'd actually look at me, but I didn't know how to, so I stopped. Than you came along, a beautiful man who is broken, but somehow knows what a room needs. The kind of person I'm terrified off. People who hide behind a smile, and a cute face unsettle me"He said, and sighed.
Axel raised an eye brow"So, you're taking me to a ditch to kill me? "He asked, and Peyton chuckled.
" I wish. "He halt the car in a parking lot of an arts gallery studio" I like you, not as much as Nadia but enough to the extent that I wanna rip off your clothes, and fuck you senselessly "He said, and looked Axel up, and down.
" So, A love hotel? "Axel tilted his head.
Peyton smirked" Unfortunately no but that can be discussed a bit later, come on "He got out of the car, and Axel followed.
They walked inside the arts gallery, and Axel was immediately mesmerized by the art in the studio.
Statues, and paintings in different sizes, colors, and shapes. The place wasn't as crowded with only about six people including them inside.
They were chatting while sipping on wine just like how he'd seen it in the movies. Peyton's nudged him with his shoulder.
"Go on take a look" He whispered.
Axel didn't need to be told twice cause he moved forward, and started studying the art pieces.
It was fascinating the stories behind the art, and emotions they were like hacking. Just as art pushes boundaries and challenges norms, hacking can be seen as a form of digital expression, where the "art" lies in finding innovative ways to navigate or disrupt systems.
It was his first time finding something that he liked as much as hacking. It... It was an amazing feeling.
