Chapter 89 Bleeding!

Chapter 89 Bleeding!
|| Author POV ||

“Ah—!”

Rosa slipped. She lost balance and her body lurched. She fell flat on her chest.

Her frame crashed hard to the ground. The impact jolted her bones. But before she could even gasp, something stabbed into her hand.

A searing pain exploded through her hand while the sharp thing pierced deep into her delicate skin.

“AHHHHHH!” A loud scream tore from her throat, echoing through the kitchen.

Her eyes snapped to her palm to see heavy blood already spilling from the deep cut. A long sharp-edged shard of broken glass was pierced into her skin.

The same jar she accidentally broke a while ago. Rosa stared in horror.

Tears spilled like a river, drowning her voice in sobs. Her body trembled violently and she pulled herself up on her knees, clutching her bleeding wrist. Bloods rolled down everywhere.

The shard was buried deep in her palm, blood pooling beneath her.

The blinding pain crashed into her like a heat wave, crushing her little soul.

Rosa couldn’t think. She couldn’t breathe. She broke down completely, crying helplessly, clutching her ruined hand.

Her hair stuck to her wet cheeks, lips quivering until a large hand suddenly slid under her arm and in one swift movement, she was lifted off the ground.

“Aaa!” Rosa wailed, kicking her legs in the air.

She didn’t need to look, she knew who it was.

The devil. Her nightmare. Him.

Her cries didn’t stop. Her bloody hand hung in the air and his arms locked around her.

“HOW THE FUCK DID THIS HAPPEN?!”

Killian’s furious roar thundered through the kitchen. His voice was sharp enough to split bone and her body jolted violently in his hold.

When Killian entered the mansion, he heard a loud soul-tearing scream. He followed the painful cries. Killian’s eyes locked on the shattered glass the moment he stepped into the kitchen. His deadly gaze burned into the shards.

His eyes were murderous. The blood smeared across the sharp shards—her blood—made his fists curl tight.

His jaw clenched hard. Muscles ticked in fury. Rage boiled in his veins.

He immediately scooped her body up, ignoring the way she cried out in fear. Her panicked sobs filled the air but he didn’t stop. He was seconds away from losing control.

Blood dripped from Rosa’s hand, leaving a trail on the floor while Killian strode up the stairs.

Inside her room, Killian gently placed her on the edge of the bed with careful hands.

Then, without sparing her a glance, he stormed out. Moments later, he returned with a first aid kit in hand with a tight jaw and eyes cold as death.

His gaze locked on Rosa to see her trying to inch away.

Bad move.

Killian’s eyes narrowed. He grabbed her, yanking her forward with force that made her cry out. Her body crashed onto his wide lap. Blood smeared across his clothes, staining the bedsheet beneath them.

“Th-th-hee–” Rosa gasped, breath hitching as her eyes landed on her bloody shaking hand.

Rosa hiccupped in panic the moment his strong fingers grabbed her fragile wrist, holding it still like steel. She tried to pull away but his hand seized her wrist.

“Stay. Still!” Killian growled lowly.

Her heart thrashed in her chest and she stared with horror at the shard still embedded in her palm. The deep wound was screaming pain.

Killian seized her palm. Rosa whimpered, turning her head away, unable to bear the sight or the terror. Her heart pounded like a drum.

The glass had pierced deep. Blood oozed heavily, trailing down her trembling fingers.

“Mmm–hic! N-no–” her cries spilled from her lips as panic took over. She stiffened on his lap.

Then—

“AAHHH!” Her scream shattered the air when Killian tried to pull the jagged glass from her flesh. The pain was excruciating.

Her legs thrashed, kicking against the bed helplessly. “S-stop! Please!” she sobbed, collapsing against his hard chest and writhing on his lap.

Tears streamed down her face like rain.

Rosa buried her head under his chin, trying to squirm free, seeking escape but his arm wrapped tightly around her waist, caging her in his lap.

“Stop moving.” his voice growled low in her ear.

Rosa didn’t listen.

Her head turned toward him, her forehead pressing under his chin without thought, seeking comfort from the very man who caused her pain. Her body clung to him, unable to fight her instinct.

Killian’s jaw clenched as he gripped the shard. Then, with brutal force, he yanked it free.

“AHHHH–AHH!”

Rosa screamed helplessly. Her body convulsed in pain. Her head shook wildly, blood spilling freely from her torn palm, staining his hand, his clothes–everything.

Killian stared at the blood-covered glass, his chest rising slowly. He lifted it close to his eyes, examining her fresh blood–and then something twisted flashed behind his gaze.

Her blood sparkled under the light. Vivid, warm and alive.

A dark, dangerous thought crept into his mind, igniting something sinister. His fingers tightened around the shard while listening to her whimpers.

That blood belonged to him.

Killian carefully placed the shard on the small tray.

His lips brushed her temple deceptively softly. “Were you trying to escape, bunny?”

A shiver ran through her. Her heart pounded so hard it hurt. Her trembling fingers clenched into a fist and before her mind could catch up with her fear, she shook her head rapidly.

“N-No... R-Rosa wasn’t–wasn’t trying to run.” she stammered the lie. Tears cascaded down her cheeks.

She lost all sense of thought in panic and fear, like a child. For a moment, she felt as if he were the same cold professor.

And then the cruel reality slammed back.

If this shallow cut shattered her so painfully, what horrors awaited if he chose to slice her fingers off? Or pour acid to burn her skin–just like he did with that man.

The thought crushed her every shred of hope, leaving her broken in the shadow of his true darkness.

Killian’s eyes narrowed. He heard the lie. Felt it. Smelled the fear in her voice.

He didn’t speak again. She had already received her punishment.

Killian’s hands moved quickly, pressing cotton into her bleeding palm. Blood soaked through instantly but Rosa didn’t even react anymore.

She was barely present. Her mind drifted, eyes glassy and lips parted in shallow gasps. The world blurred, tilted and spun.

Rosa’s heart pounded in her ears, then slowed–then faded.

Unconsciousness dragged her into the darkness. Her blood didn’t even look red anymore. It looked dark like shadow bleeding from her veins.

Her head tilted and body slumped, collapsing into his chest.

Killian cradled her limp form against him, feeling her go weak. He leaned close. His breath ghosted over her cold cheek and whispered with cruel possession.

“You hurt yourself trying to escape me? Pathetic.”

He exhaled sharply. “Were you that desperate to leave me? Hmm?”

His voice dripped with cruel amusement as his gaze locked on her torn palm.

“Run, bleed, fall apart–I’ll still own every piece of you.”

Killian pressed a slow kiss to her temple, then let his gaze settle on the blood-streaked shard of glass. A sinister smile curved his lips. Just because she was already hurt, he forced his beast under control—he wouldn’t hurt her more.

He snapped her face upward, eyes burning into her closed lids with fierce possession. Blood smeared on his fingers didn’t stop him–he pressed his lips to hers in a melting kiss. His tongue traced over her still mouth, before moving their sticky lips together.

He broke the kiss slightly “This broken little bunny, bleeding in my arms–it’s beautiful.”
