Chapter 84 Possessed!

Chapter 84 Possessed!
|| Author POV ||

Rosalie’s breath deepened when her fingers brushed against a bundle of keys.

The moment she pulled them out, her dried tears gave way to a silent hope.

She held her breath and tried one key. It didn’t fit. Panic swelled in her chest. Rosa tried another. Nothing. Her fingers shook uncontrollably as she fumbled through them. One, two, three...five tries and still the door stayed shut.

Her heart pounded wildly. Rosa wanted to cry again. Even if she loved him, she couldn’t stay here. She had to leave, anywhere, just away from him.

‘God, please open it.’ Rosa prayed inside, slipping another key.

“Looking for this, rabbit?”

Rosa’s entire body froze at the sound of that deep, mocking voice behind her.

Her hands hung suspended in the air and she slowly, fearfully turned her head to meet the devil’s blue eyes.

Killian was leaning against the headboard, bare-chested, staring at her with a calm demeanor. Rosa’s eyes followed his hand. The single key was glinting between his long slender fingers.

Her chest tightened seeing him awake. Her eyes welled up staring at the devilish man. She had been fooled again.

The key was with him. He wasn’t sleeping this whole time. He heard her cries. He knew. He knew she’d try to escape.

Rosa looked down ashamed, fooled, filled with puzzled emotions. She couldn’t hold back anymore. The anxiety crashed down.

She slid down on the floor, pulling her legs near her chest.

Tears poured silently. Her body was shaking with each breath. She buried her face in her arms, muffling the sound of her broken sobs and they filled the stillness of the room.

Rosa flinched when the large hand pulled her up. She loudly cried out.

“Why run, little one? When you were never meant to leave?”

Killian couldn’t help but chuckle at her naïve little attempt. She had shown just enough bravery to amuse him. A tiny escape, how cute. His chuckle was low.

Rosa kicked her legs in the air, trying to resist until he pinned her down on the bed again. He was on top of her once more like a shadow Rosa couldn’t escape.

Killian was trying his best not to hurt her.

His hand gently caressed her tear-stained cheek. Rosa’s eyes stayed tightly shut. Soft muffled sobs reached his ear like a melody.

“I thought I’d let you go out–” Killian rasped near her ear, “live just like before, you as mine.”

Rosa sobbed silently with her eyes still closed. “But this is what you chose.”

“Ah-ha—!” she sobbed at his cruel voice but didn’t dare open her eyes and meet those scary dark eyes.

She was scared after getting caught like a fool.

She thought he’ll hurt her or do something worse. Her bones were shivering due to fear. A person who can kill, can do anything. Everything.

“Don’t make me hurt you, little rabbit.” Killian whispered, voice darkening and his gaze turned cold.

How could he stay so calm, after she tried to escape?

If one looked closer, the veins in his neck were bulging dangerously, throbbing as if they might burst at any moment. His jaw was locked tight and teeth clenched with barely restrained fury.

“Don’t open your eyes!” he snarled dangerously “Sleep.” Killian’s voice was dark.

Rosa didn’t even try to open them but her tears betrayed her, slipping silently down her cheeks before dissolving into the pillow.

“P-please–”

Killian’s fists clenched beside her, trembling slightly. His breath came in harsh, ragged bursts as he stared at the tears she shed.

Is it really that hard for her to accept him?

So what if he kills people?

Killian’s hands shook with rage he barely held in check. He wanted to punish her for being so foolish, for not understanding that there’s no escaping a devil’s cage.

The urge to hurt her surged violently through him. Killian let out a low frustrated sigh.

He dropped beside her and yanked her into his big arms with a rough, possessive grip.

Rosa barely dared to open her eyes before squeezing them shut with fear again.

“Mmmhh-” Rosa whimpered softly when his hold tightened impossibly around her. Her face pressed harshly against his hard, stone-like chest.

After a full three hours, Killian was still wide awake.

Rosa had cried herself to sleep after two straight hours of sobbing. And he had counted every moment and listened to each of her hiccups.

Something felt strange, unnaturally calm. Just having her trapped in his arms had settled something restless inside him. Her soft snores echoed like a lullaby in the silence.

“P-professor...” Suddenly a faint whimper escaped her lips.

Killian turned to look at Rosalie. She was shifting her head from side to side. A troubled expression clouded her sleeping face.

Killian cursed under his breath. She was having a nightmare. And she was calling his name. Even in her sleep, she couldn’t escape him!

Killian slowly hovered over her fragile form. His gaze fixated on her face. The trail of another tear glistened down her cheek. Sweat beaded along her temple.

How could someone cry this much? Killian wondered.

She had barely stopped... and now, even in sleep, she was crying again, filling his ears with sweet sounds.

“Professor...” Rosa whimpered, stirring faintly. “H-Help me. Professor. H-he..don’t..k-kill-h–”

Killian’s expression darkened. A frown carved deep into his face. He knew he had turned her dreams into nightmares already.

She was calling for him. Begging him to save her. From himself.

Killian reached out and gently traced his thumb across her cheek, wiping away the fresh tear.

“Shh, don’t cry.” Killian murmured, cradling her face with a quiet possessiveness.

He didn’t know what to do with this version of her. His hand moved awkwardly, patting her head in a rare, almost unsure gesture.

Her broken whines gradually began to fade, quieting in his arms at the gentle caresses. As if her subconscious had started to surrender.

Killian gently laid her head down. His eyes locked on her now-peaceful face.

It bothered him deeply. How could someone look this beautiful?

Flawless. Smooth skin. A delicate, small face. And when she opens those eyes... she looks like an unreal frail doll.

Killian didn’t blink. He didn’t even shift. His gaze stayed fixed on her face like a man possessed. There was no way he was letting her go.

Not now. Not ever.

His thumb moved on its own, rising to touch her gentle skin. It felt far too soft for his rough, calloused hands.

The moonlight spilled faintly through the window, casting shadows across his sharp features. The piercing on his eyebrows glinted, giving his stillness an almost eerie glow.

His blue lens slowly trailed down to her lips. Those mesmerizing, delicate lips.

He wanted them, wanted to see them part and hear them scream in pleasure. Once again.

Killian’s brows furrowed. He wasn’t feeling sane. He wasn’t here to sleep. He was here for her.

He pretended to sleep, keeping the key inside the pocket because he knew she would try to escape. His eyes scanned the soft breaths slipping from her nose. Her chest was rising gently.

He couldn’t believe she was his. This fragile little beauty, she belonged to him.

This beautiful thing is... his!

The immense madness twisted in his chest, making his skin itch with needs. He felt unhinged. Almost psychotic.

Killian leaned in. His hot breaths ghosted over her lips. His own lips shook with restraint before pressing gently against hers.

His eyes squeezed shut, long fingers fisting the bedsheet when he felt the softness of her lips against his.

The rage in his blood was blistering. He wanted to yank her hair back, force her eyes open and fuck her mercilessly.

But he didn’t want to wake her up from that peaceful sleep.

As Killian tried to pull away, those soft sticky lips stuck with his, slowly parting, just enough to tear his control apart.

“Fuck!”

Killian whispered a swore, unable to control himself. One finger traced the side of her mouth, while his other hand pressed hard into the pillow beside her head.

His eyes fixated on those pink small lips. He wants to taste them again.

“This is only Mine.” he hissed.

Then he pressed his lips again, deeper, fiercer but still careful not to wake her.

Killian didn’t even realize how far his obsession had already gone.

Killian didn’t move. He stayed perfectly still, letting the madness crawl deeper into his skin by feeling the softness of her lips. It was making him insane.

It wasn’t enough.

Unable to ground himself, Killian gently cradled her small face and Rosa stirred in her sleep. His eyes were dark. When Rosa’s lips parted just slightly, Killian took the chance and made a slow lick across them.

Rosa’s hand flew to her mouth, reacting to the wet touch even in sleep.

She turned her face away and unconsciously chewed her lip, breaking the fragile kiss.

Killian let out a quiet huff. His gaze shifted to her hand now lazily scratching at her cheek.

He caught it.

Before he even realized it, he brought her hand close to his mouth. His eyes fixated on her fingers. So tiny.

Killian chuckled at the size of it. Her fingers looked pitifully small. They looked like nothing against his own. His hands were three times larger than hers.

He kissed Rosa’s palm softly, then sensually slipped her index finger into his warm mouth.

He knew what he was. A monster hovering over something pure. But it didn’t stop him.

He took another finger between his lips, teeth grazing gently as he chewed. Everything else faded. The world disappeared.

All that existed was her. And his eyes never softened. He really wanted to do something sinful with her.

He brought her smallest finger to his lips, pressing a light kiss to the tip. His cold eyes on her closed eyelids.

“Look at these tiny hands–” he whispered against her skin “You really thought they could open a door and leave me?”

He chuckled.

“Adorable!”

Killian seethed under his breath, breathing her in like she was air he needed to survive. He didn’t think how crazy this might look like. A long silence followed as he examined her beautiful face.

Then he pecked her lips, once, twice, thrice. A long press to her forehead followed like a vow.

“Everything about you belongs to me.” Killian pressed a kiss to her knuckle. “This little body. These pretty hands. That pathetic fear in your sleep.”

His fingers brushed along her cheek with an whisper of affection. Then came the promise with restrained violence.

“I swear, If you try to run again, I won’t just lock the door, rabbit–” His voice dipped darker.

“I’ll chain your legs to this bed and break every part of you that thinks it can escape me!”
