Chapter 57 Secret!

Chapter 57 Secret!
|| Author POV ||

Rosa gulped, lifting her hips just enough to close the gap between them.

Her breathing turned shallow as she leaned in before pressing her soft lips gently against his cheek and instantly pulled away.

Rosa flinched when Killian let out a dark scowl. “Not here.”

Her eyes met his again, wide with panic. “Don’t test me.” he warned. His stare was like a storm.

Rosa’s heart thundered. She swallowed down the fear and braced herself. Before his gaze could turn any darker, Rosa moved gripping his collar with both hands and tugged him down.

Then, her innocious lips pressed against his. Her lips stuck with his softly. Killian suddenly felt something in his chest.

Was that his heart beating?

Killian himself felt confused. After all he hadn’t felt that damn thing for years. How ridiculous. This little girl...This tiny slip of a woman makes him feel something in the heart.

Rosa tried to part away but his low snarl stopped her cold. “Move!” he commanded urgently.

Rosa’s body jerked as his hands clenched around her hips, dragging her impossibly closer. She bit her lip. Her nerves crackled through her veins.

Fingers trembling, she gripped his collar, hesitating for a heartbeat before she leaned in again and captured his lips with her own in a shaky kiss.

Killian’s breath faltered as her trembling lips brushed his.

She didn’t know how to kiss, hell! She didn’t know what to do, helpless and shy and that innocence only stoked the fire inside him hotter. He’d been starving for her all the time and now holding her like this and all restraint was slipping.

Without his knowing, his obsession for her was increasing day by day. Intensely. Dangerously.

His large palms cupped her face, halting her timid movements. Rosa’s eyes flickered with fear.

“My bunny doesn’t know how to kiss, does she?” His voice was a dark whisper, filled with teasing menace.

Rosa’s breath hitched. His husky voice sent a flush deep into her cheeks, burning hotter than the air. Butterflies fluttered inside her tummy.

Is he really that cold professor? Rosa shook her head.

“Scared, aren’t you?” he said, tilting his head with a predator’s smirk. In that moment, a sharp pang cut through him.

A brutal awareness that his burning lust could break her.

He was the danger. His desire threatened to consume her whole. Only he knew the lengths he went to restraint himself from fucking her every second of every day, twenty-four hours.

Killian snarled softly, his lips crashing down on hers like a storm. Rosa gasped sharply, losing control as his fingers raked across her skin, nails digging in with delicious cruelty. The air thickened possessively around them.

A wet whimper escaped him as he lifted her from the table. Rosa’s legs instinctively curled around his waist. Her eyes were wide as she pulled away from the kiss, brows furrowed in a mix of curiosity and fear.

“Shhh.” he hushed against her lips.

His mouth clashed against her again as he carried her backward until her back hit the cold wall with a soft thud. Rosa tightened her legs around his torso. Her skirt was struggling to stay in place.

Rosa’s hand trembled, reaching up to hide her burning cheeks but Killian caught it mid-air, pinning it firmly against the wall.

His grip tightened around her slender waist, pulling her flush against him. A soft desperate whimper slipped from her throat. He is always so rough, so demanding.

Why couldn’t he be just a little gentle?

Rosa wanted to pout, to protest but her mouth was already captured, swallowed by his hunger. She melted into the kiss, caught between craving and shame, the thrill of her beloved professor kissing her like that even here. I'm his office.

It was maddening.

When Killian finally broke away, Rosa gasped for air with flamed cheeks. Killian’s eyes flickered with dark amusement as he licked his lips. Satisfaction dripped from every glance at her pretty face.

Slowly, his hands smoothed down her skirt before he put her down. Rosa stood on shaky feet. Her breath still uneven. Killian cupped her cheeks gently making her lift her gaze to him.

“Don’t make me disappointed again, bunny.” he said in a calm yet firm tone.

His eyes scanned her timid ones. “There’s a library in my mansion, shelves taller than you. From now on, you’ll study there. No distractions. No excuses.” Rosa blinked.

“And you won’t lock yourself in that damn room all the time. Either study in the living room or in the library.” His thumb brushed her cheek. “You’ll eat properly and focus on your studies more. Alright?”

Rosa gave a tiny nod. Her eyes were wide with submission.

He stared at her a bit longer, then gently smoothed down her disheveled hairs. Then he turned, took her small hand in his and opened the door.

“N-no wait–” Rosa whined. “Someone will see us.” she whispered, trying to pull her hand back.

“Let them.” he said without a pause.

Rosa’s eyes widened as they stepped out together and halted. Her heart pounded. The corridor was empty but her eyes darted around anxiously.

Everyone was in class. But still, this felt dangerous and thrilling.

“You’ll re-do your homework.” Killian said coldly, brushing a finger under her chin. “Twice. As punishment.”

Rosa pouted, lifting her eyes to his, silently pleading. But Killian didn’t waver.

“I’m–i’m going. Someone will s-see us together.” she muttered.

Then, his gaze flicked over her shoulder. Someone was coming. A familiar figure. Something glinted in his eyes.

“Someone might see, you say?” Killian smirked and leaned down.

Rosa’s eyes widened as he pressed a kiss to her lips. Right in the corridor!

Her heart jumped in her chest. What if someone saw—

“Rosalie? You’re–”

A familiar voice echoed in the corridor. Rosa gasped with wide eyes, jerking away from the kiss and her head whipped around.

There was Aria. Standing frozen with her mouth slightly parted in shock while eyes flicked from Rosa to Killian and back again.

“Uh–I’m sorry. I-i didn’t mean to walk in on anything–” Aria stammered with an awkward smile tugging at her lips while her wide eyes bounced from Rosa to Killian.

The shock was clear in her face.

“Rosa, I’ll.. I’ll see you later.” she muttered, stepping back before quickly turning away.

Rosa looked up at Killian stunned. He was watching Aria’s retreating figure, tongue rolling slowly against his bottom teeth like he wanted to be caught. Completely unbothered.

Rosa’s cheeks puffed in a silent pout. Killian looked down at her with that same teasing glint in his eye.

“Go back to class, little rabbit.” he ordered smoothly.

Without another word, Rosa pouted hard and turned on her shoes and walked off with her fast and flustered steps.

“Aria, wait!” she called softly, breaking into a small run.

Aria stopped, glancing over her shoulder with a strange expression. Suspicion mixed with something unknown.

Rosa slowed as she reached her, walking quietly beside her. Aria quickly looked back, checking if he was still there. Once she was sure Killian was gone, she turned back to Rosa with wide eyes.

“Ros–Rosa, what was that?” she whispered shocked, gripping Rosa by the shoulders. “Are you two... dating? I-I mean, h-he kissed you. Killian Salvatore? Our cold professor?!”

Rosa froze, her nerves flaring. She didn’t know how to respond, so she gave the smallest hesitant nod.

Aria gasped, slapping a hand over her mouth. “Oh my god! I can’t believe it.” she whispered-shouted. “How.. how did this even happen, Rosa? Tell me! I’m dying to know!”

Rosa looked around nervously. “Shh, Aria.” she hushed softly, darting her eyes around. “Someone will hear.”

Aria pressed her fingers over her lips, then leaned in. “I just... can’t believe it.” she muttered, eyes still wide with disbelief and curiosity.

“I’m so happy my Rosalie is finally dating but...that man? Mr. Salvatore?” Aria wrinkled her nose. “Ugh.”

Rosa pressed her lips together, eyes dropping. She knew exactly what Aria meant. How she could fall for the man who was always so cold and strict?

There was a secret no one knew...!

Aria sighed dramatically. “And you didn’t even tell me. I’m hurt.” she pouted, nudging her shoulder. “How long has this been going on?”

Rosa looked down, taking small steps. “Not long. I–I was thinking of t-telling you, I just didn’t know how.”

As they walked toward the classroom, Aria kept throwing question after question at her. Her voice was hushed but excited.

“Did he confess first? Who kissed who? Oh my god, is he like... soft with you? Or is he still that scary professor when you’re alone too?”

Rosa could only shake her head with flushed cheeks. Aria was beyond shocked. All those glances Rosa stole during class and the softness in her eyes. Aria had guessed right. Rosalie was never just a student to Killian.

“Aria.” Rosa called out and Aria hummed “You won’t tell anyone, right?” Rosa asked softly with a trace of uncertainty in her voice.

Aria immediately shook her head. Her expression turned serious. “No way. This is just a secret between us. I swear, I won’t breathe a word. You can trust meeee. We’re besties, right?” She finished with a playful wink.

Rosa’s lips curved into a small smile. She trusted Aria more than she realized until now.

She hadn’t expected Aria’s reaction to be so full of excitement and support, especially when she admitted they were living together. Aria’s widened eyes, her hands flying to her mouth in shock and the soft gasp that left her lips, it all made Rosa smile.

She could definitely consider Aria her best friend now.

Someone who didn’t just promise to keep her secrets but celebrated them with her.
Maybe this was what having a best friend felt like. No judgment, just genuine surprise, shared secrets and–

That silly sparkle in her eyes when she said, “You’re seriously living a dark romance trope, Rosalie!”

Rosa giggled it off.

But little did she knew, it wasn't just some words. She didn't know those words were more than a joke.

If only she had known how right those words were–

And how fast everything was about to go wrong.
