Chapter 70 I want more

Chapter 70 I want more

Want more

Milo’s POV

The wind stilled following masters declaration.

The growls of the bullies, the malicious intent that was hell bent on devouring me, and more especially my heart…

all of it died at once.

My wolf stirred violently inside me. As I stared dumbly at the man that had in one sentence made the world revolved around him. His jaw was clenched so hard that I thought he would crush it in anger. His eyes scanned the environment, taking in everything all at once.

Master is back.

His words continued to echo inside my head like a whisper. Something warm crept through my chest. But before I could think about it deeply, he moved.

No, he disappeared. One moment, he was standing at a distance away from us. The next moment, he became a blur, reaching the bullies before I could breathe.

He was so fast, faster than even during training. It was then I realised that I had never seen master fighting before. And never have I seen him this angry before, every precise punch connected with the skin of an unfortunate wolf, his movement was refined and filled with grace. and to be honest, it was nothing like a fair fight between master vs. almost a dozen wolves.

Bodies hit the ground with sickening thuds, sound of bones breaking, and jaws shifting from their sockets filled the night, as within seconds the ground was littered with groaning men, writhing in pain.

I froze, My heart pounded hard in my chest. I held the sleeping boy closer to me. While bowing down, I was afraid to look up at master whose angry growl was now focused entirely on me.

The relief I had felt earlier vanished like a puff of smoke. The gravity of my sins descended on me like a heavy weight. Lior retreated immediately deeper into my mind. whimpering in the process.

I was not supposed to be outside. Hell, I was not even supposed to step out of his chamber door…

“Milo…” His voice came like thunder, freezing my thoughts, “...Look at me.”

I swallowed hard. Forcing myself to look up. “Master… the boy…he was sick. I tried to save him…”

Master’s eyes flickered to the child for a moment before it returned to me. The air trembled, and the weight of his stare made my trembling knees buckle

I couldn’t breathe. My heart hammered so loudly in my ears, drowning out everything else.

“I… I just wanted to save him,” I whispered in panic while thinking of different punishments he might give me. Maybe this time, my offense would require something worse than just a butt plug. My body shivered as I remembered that fateful day.

or another master would decide to go with another episode of public whipping... My thoughts ran wide, together with my nerves.

Master’s silence was worse than any roar or punishment he could have given to me. I felt him move before he stood before me. His addicting scent invaded my nostrils, making me finally look up. And immediately I wished I didn't. I saw something in his eyes…something that made my stomach twist painfully in regret.

Anger, disappointment…, I could not name them all, but it was there, pulling me in like a magnet.

I whimpered, bracing myself for anything that might come. Without thinking, I bared my neck to him in submission.

But the blow didn't come, or whatever I had thought he would do to me, instead…

“Milo,” he stretched out his hands. It was not a request. It was a command. Something my omega body recognized so well.

I didn’t think, not for one second, before my body moved on its own, like I was tethered to him, like his call was the only thing my bones ever remembered. My legs carried me forward, and before I knew it, I was in his arms.

Immediately, masters intoxicating wrapped around me. Ash mixed with cinnamon invaded my nostrils, I felt my knees going weak as my body melted in his arms. My thoughts shattered. The fear disappeared, replaced with nothing but… warmth and relief. I didn't know I was missing ever since he left.

Lior purred inside me like a happy dog. tail wagging deep inside me. I snuggled deeper into his body, marveling at the way my hands struggled to wrap around his bulging muscles that were covered by his coat.

A growl of approval rumbled from masters chest as his arms wrapped around me protectively, causing a shiver to run through my spine like electricity, and for the first time since master left. The restless storm that has been brewing inside me stopped. To my shock, my body relaxed, like I had finally found what it had been craving for…

“Why…why do I feel like this?” I kept on wondering in my head.

I didn’t know why, but I just knew I didn’t want to let go.

But not all wishes were horses.

I felt the shift in the air. masters body tensed against my hands. He took a deep sniff in the air. A dangerous growl tore out from his throat. But this time, it was not directed at me. his golden eyes focused at the darkness around us.

“Come out!” Damon’s commanding voice cut through the silence. “I can smell your stinking stench even from here.”

My blood turned to ice, somebody else was here?

“As expected from our Alpha.” A voice broke through the silence, then one after the other, four figures emerged from the darkness, their aura was concealed but apparently they could hide from master perception .

My breath hitched, The commanders!

Their predator eyes glowed with mysterious light as their eyes trained on the boy lying on the ground.

I made it to move, but Master's arm wrapped possessively around my waist, yanking me back against his hard chest.

“What is the meaning of this?” command vibrated through my bones. Even though it was not directed at me.

But the commanders hardly flinched, one of them I knew to be Grath, stepped forward, pointing at master accusingly. “You know all this time”

Confusion filled my head. "Knew what exactly?"

“The boy is the key all this time. It's obvious from this…” another bent to trace a hand on the sleeping boy's form, as if marveling at something.

“Leave him alone. He is just a little boy” I screamed, thrashing to leave masters iron grasp, but all to no avail.

“...And that is what makes it even more unbelievable. You are just a little naive pup. The prophecy talked about somebody that would crush the council powers and hold on us… You are hardly average.”

“what are you talking…?” I trailed off watching with wide eyes as the boy, who I thought was unconscious, suddenly stood up. His eyes met mine for a moment, and I saw it in his eyes. The betrayal stunged harder than the truth.

My stomach sank.

“It was a trap…” I whispered, shocked at what my eyes were seeing.

Masters' lip curled into a vicious snarl that shook the trees.

“shameless bastards, you used a child to draw him out?” His voice was filled with venom.

General Barks sneered, “Don’t act all righteous, Alpha. You abandoned your pack in their time of need.” His chin jerked toward me like I was nothing more than a cursed object. “Do you have any idea what he is?”

I could feel masters grip on my body tight until I could feel grip on me tightened until I could feel his claws brush against my hip. His body was on fire, trembling with restraint.

“I don’t care what you think he is.” His voice was a blade. “Touch him, and you will regret it.”

“He is so healthy that should have told us something.” Another general whom I have come to know as Grath, Commander of the arms units, muttered, almost to himself. His hawk eyes narrowed as he studied me.

“His blood…” General Barks continued, “It reeks of…”

“You are forbidden from saying anything else” master cut him off with a thunderous roar.his anger barely restrained.

My brows scrunched in confusion. I suddenly felt like a headless chicken.

“He is the chosen one. The wolf that was spoken about in the prophecy…”

A deep guttural sound rattled my bones as Master's aura exploded, stopping General Brath from what he was about to say.

His arm still held me protectively. “Touch him,” his voice was low and dangerous, “and I will tear you all apart limb by limb.”

I swallowed hard, trembling as master pressed me even closer to him. his body acting like a shield from them.

The commanders stiffened, or could tell from the ashen faces, that they were frightened, but they quickly hid it well.

But that was not the only thing that struck me as odd. It was master, and I stared at him with a racing heart.

I didn’t know why …why did his growl sound more like he was claiming me?

And why did my stomach feel like it was filled with butterflies every time he defended me.

I didn’t understand any of it, but despite that...

I wanted more.
