Chapter 93 Extra Chapter 8
Chapter 93 Extra Chapter 8
"Devil," I hoarsely said. I was chasing my wife, and I checked into the same motel. It must be related to the footage. I was fucking furious at her. My jaw was clenched under the mask.
"The famous devil?" Assassin asked, looking a little shocked. He didn't know anything about me being Devil. But he was aware that there were some hidden guards watching my wife from afar. No one needed to see the face behind the mask. "I should recognize you from your look. No one has ever seen you."
I nodded. Anger was still boiling inside me. My wife's eyes were on me. I looked at her, coldly.
"Um, the shop owner must have called the police." She muttered, looking nervous.
"I've messaged the cleaned-team." I said. Drake would be here with guards soon. I needed one of them alive. It could be a big help. My wife wouldn't be the only one Andrew would have sent to be kidnapped. For now, I wasn't going to leave my wife's side.
"I don't know what a cleaned-team is?" She asked, anxiously.
"You don't need to know, ma'am. Did you take your medicine on time and eat your meal?" Zhang asked, worriedly. This was the thing that was holding me back to throw a punch in his face.
"You mean Vitamins. Yes." She nodded her head, looking thoughtful. It was a relief that she had installed my instructions in her head.
We got in the car. My eyes were turning to her under the hood through the rearview mirror. Tears welled in her eyes. I hated to see her in tears. I was blaming myself for putting her into this situation. She should be home and be happy. I'm her world, her family. but I gave her tears.
Angrily, She swiped her fingers on her cheeks. I could also see the determination in her eyes.
"You better give me the footage." An emotion overtook her as I heard her voice cracking a little. I mentioned the footage. I said it to distract myself. She was going to know about me one day. I wanted it after the death of Andrew. But I needed to see her smiling face too. She would get only a little part of it now. It would earn me some time.
I pulled the car in front of a stranded cottage. The long grass was covering the ground. It was a part of the backup plan.
"Are you sure this is your place?" She asked, pressing her palm against the window glass as she leaned over to glance out. The house looked old and rusty.
"Yes, my grandpa's." My hand was still clutching the steering wheel in anger. She needed to stop doing this. I couldn't deny her if it gave her happiness.
"It looks safe." Assassin declared getting out of the car. His eyebrows were pulled together as usual. He scanned the area.
Opening the door, she stepped out of the car. She looked around.
I strode forward and unlocked the door. I could guess her questions sailing toward me.
"Was your grandpa like you? The assassin?" She asked.
I nodded my head not wanting to speak and I pushed the door open.
"Stay by my side, ma'am. This place is new." Assassin muttered to her.
He was best for the job. I told him the code still he wouldn't depend on someone stranger like me for her security.
I walked over to the door and opened one of the doors. Drake must have reached there. I didn't attack to kill them. I needed to interrogate them. "That's your room." Saying, I turned to the second door.
"Footage?" My feet halted hearing her behind me. She was getting impatient. Neglecting her demand, I checked the room. I could feel her eyes on me.
"After lunch, you'll get it. I'm hungry." I told her, marching in my room.
I needed privacy. I clicked the door locked. I couldn't Ignore the curiosity in her eyes. She must be wondering who was behind the mask.
Retrieving my phone, I called him and rested it against my ear. "Brother."
"At grandpa's house." I told Aaron. I have a meeting with him. It was a good thing that he was already in town.
"Is Eveleen alright?"
"Bring the footage... but only that part where we were going in the airport."
"Drake reached here with two dead bodies and one breathing hard."
"Save him. He could know where Andrew would have captured Sofia."
"They will. It would take me thirty minutes."
"Hm... " I disconnected the call and scurried forward. I unlocked it and stepped out of the room.
Assassin was already searching every corner of the house. His head snapped at me. I glanced at her door. Taking a step forward, I checked the lock. I didn't want her to show up when I'm talking to him.
"What are you doing?" I heard him behind me.
I pulled down the mask and turned on my heels. I slithered my hand through my hair, removing the hug.
"Boss," He whispered, straightening his shoulders. "I was chasing ma'am. She wasn't out of my sight." He looked over my shoulder.
I nodded. If I wouldn't have seen it myself, I wouldn't have questioned his ability. "Aaron will be here soon." I forwarded to go out.
"Ma'am... You should tell her, boss. She's missing you badly. I've seen her crying." He muttered.
I gave him a cold look over my shoulder. That was all he needed to know... his limit. He could only suggest me until I wanted.
Forwarding, I stepped out of the door. I could already see guards, pretending to be common people. Cey motioned at me with the tip of his chin.
My wife would be safe. It was important to be somewhere else.
