Chapter 90 Extra Chapter 5
Chapter 90 Extra Chapter 5
Duante’ pov
For now, it would be only Aaron and Drake. It would be better if fewer people knew about it.
"Drake, call them to meet me in the warehouse. Now!" He said.
Aaron's eyebrows shot up. "We have a meeting after two hours." He rubbed his fingers on his two-day-old stubble.
"He can wait. Just message him this location. Traffic is going to keep him busy. It would earn us some more time." His blazing gaze turned to Drake. "There should be no trace of human activities."
Drake nodded. "We can call them after meeting with Antonio Sir, boss." He suggested.
"Just tell them to be here." He lashed.
Drake bowed his head and drifted out of the old wooden office.
"You should hear him. There may be a point in his suggestion." Aaron said.
He smiled his way. "I know what I'm doing." His grip fastened on the back of the old chair.
Aaron looked at him, holding no expression on his face. "I have a feeling. You have already planned everything."
He slapped his hand on the olden wood before striding back and forth. "I have. You have an important role to play." Intensity flashed in his eyes.
"What's it?" Aaron leaned forward.
"I'll explain to you later." He smiled lazily. They could think they were playing a game but he was the game master, the game operator.
"We can kill his son easily. " Aaron said, tilting his head.
The vein in his neck twisted and he twisted one corner of his lips. "Nah! I haven't studied him fully yet."
Aaron looked up at him with furrowed brows. "He's after your wife. She's pregnant. I won't suggest this. Instant killing is better."
"I'm doing the same thing. But in my way. He won't reach her." his fists clenched at his sides. "I'm going to kill all the traitors. It's better to wait than facing another betrayal from your people."
"Well, I'm with you." He leaned against the chair, resting his arm on the desk.
"Boss," Edd, the head of Aaron's security, walked in gripping two bags.
Aaron motioned at him to place them on the desk and leave.
Edd bowed his head at them before retrieving his feet.
"We should change." Aaron got on his feet and grabbed the one bag. "I've ordered a bigger size than me. I hope it will fit you." He removed his coat and tugged on his tie.
He slid it towards him, hooking his index finger on it. He peered inside. He removed his coat and pulled the hood over his head.
Aaron had already unbuckled his pants and put on the black jeans.
He held the black fabric in his hand. A smile tugged on his lips recalling old days.
When they were fully dressed in a disguised look, a rap on the door made their eyes dart to the door.
They were standing on the other side of the door waiting for him to allow them in.
He nodded his head and they piled in. Their backs straight, hands clasped back, spine straight, their eyes on the earth.
He sighed softly as his eyes drifted on every face. "Look up. I need you to hear me. I want my friends." After his parent's death, he used to visit the orphanage. He made ten friends there. He didn't want them to be part of the mafia world but his life.
Their eyes gazed at him, their posture relaxed. "Why are we here, Devil? This isn't our usual place." Sergio looked down at his black hood and black jeans and glanced up at his face back. "You're ready for death."
All nodded their heads in agreement. He smiled at them. With a full nod, he confirmed it. "I need two of you killer-machines to protect my wife in my absence." He kept his eyes locked on the wooden wall, staring at the titled old black-and-white picture. Several smiling faces were in the picture. It was the only beautiful thing in this old and ugly place.
"If I have to sit bored all day, enduring a pregnant woman's blabber all the time. We have no problem. Anything for our brotherhood." Ben stepped forward.
"How can I leave your ugly tooth behind? I don't wanna miss it, brother." Victor winked at him, curling his lips in a full smile.
He released another slow breath. He actually wanted them to protect her, keep her away from all troubles. "I need three more, brothers." He said.
Cey, Jackie, and Blackie stepped forward.
"Your job is going to be very difficult compared to others. She can try to run away, show tantrums, cry, throw things at you, and many more. You have to keep her away from all trouble."
"Why? Are you planning to disappear, Devil?" Aakash paused, waiting for him to look at him. When his eyes turned to him. "She's pregnant." He reminded him.
"Andrew is the Stalker. He's Uncle's lost son. He's obsessed with my wife." Anger boiled in his death.
"Give us two hours. We'll bring them here. Dead bodies or alive." Alberto told in a promising tone.
"Yes," It reached his ears in unison.
He shook his head. "I wanna wipe them out. I don't want another stalker, another betrayal, after a few months and years. I don't want my son to be born in such an atmosphere. I don't want to live under doubts that they aren't safe."
"Uncle will be here soon. They have planted a bomb in the plane. I'm playing their game." He took off the hood and threw it toward Aaron who caught it immediately.
All gazes collided with each other in shock. "M... ma'am is pregnant, boss." Drake said, shifting on his feet. "Your son will be the heir. We shouldn't take the risk."
"I should agree with you but the easy path isn't our thing. She won't believe all the news of my death." He looked in the eyes of Fives. "She can make your job very difficult." He reminded them.
"Ma'am will be safe with us. We'll protect them over our death." Ben said and held his fisted hand straight. At the back of his hand, a tattoo was curved,
"I have no doubt. Tom won't be part of our plan." His jaw clenched. He did not want him part of his plan until he was certain to assign him a job. He knew his wife would do anything to hear from his mouth that he was safe out there. It wouldn't be only her but some traitors around them. They could hear them.
"But, Thomas..." Aaron was looking shocked. He covered it with a scowl.
"He won't be able to act. He's still a child in many matters."
"You just consider him a child. It's time to try him." Aaron suggested.
"I'm trying him in a different way." He said.
"What about us?" Arsh asked.
"You'll be in the plane with me." His eyes turned to Ben, Victor, Cey, Blackie, and Jackie. "You will reach Italy after a day with my wife." They nodded immediately. He turned his eyes to Drake." I want you to capture the CCTV footage after the blast."
"That would be easy. But I'm joining you all on the same flight." Drake demanded.
"You will, brother," Code clapped his hand on the back of his shoulder and all sets of eyes turned to him.
"Yes," He nodded. "I don't want any innocent person around the plane."
"If you want us, Devil. We can place Andrew in and enjoy the fireworks." Sergio said.
All laughed together. "Do I need to explain anything?" He asked.
"No," He heard from them. "Ben," He looked at him.
Ben straightened his back and stepped forward. It went silent again. "Yes, Duante."
"Teamwork or do you want someone to be head of Five." He asked. He was going to assist them. Still, he didn't want to risk anything.
"No one can lead us better than Drake." Victor winked at Drake.
"No doubt, younger brother." Ben clapped his shoulder, smirking at him.
"I think. We want you to lead us, Devil." Jackie said. He hardly smiled.
He nodded, looking at Five. "Zhang will be part of this plan, too. But he wouldn't know anything except two things: that I'm alive and he has to keep my wife safe at all costs.''
" We trust him, no doubt, but boss..." Victor hesitated.
"I wouldn't have taken the decision if my wife didn't consider him her father figure. He would keep her distracted from my death news."
"It's the best decision. No one of us knows how to deal with a girl. Particularly a pregnant woman." Ben said, scratching his head.
"Yes, only this thought makes this job difficult. Kids should bear on trees." Cey nervously rubbed the side of his back
"Yes, you look ripped on a banana tree. Now move your ass, Victor. Antonio will be here soon." Jackie said, some of them laughed.
"You should be the head of us," Ben said, throwing his arm around his shoulder.
"Er, it would be better if boss leads us. He would object the moment ma'am would laugh and beam seeing a new flower in the garden." Sergio muttered.
"Agree, pregnant women should not stress. They need to be happy all the time." Ben said, looking not certain.
" Your job starts now." They all turned to stroll out. In less than a minute, they were out of sight. He could hear the engine of the car starting.
"Should I stay, Boss?" Drake asked.
"Yes, Code let me know when you detect the bomb and prepare the plane. Security is your responsibility." He said.
Code bowed his head. "Ok, boss. " He headed out of the room. His eyes turned to his phone as he took it out of his pocket.
"I need to go somewhere. You have to meet him alone."
"I'll record everything. But would it be wise to declare your death before hearing from him?" Aaron said.
If I hear him he would only let me know people who are involved, but I wanna capture them all. "We'll be back before he gets here."
"Ok," he gestured at his Consigliere, Edd.
"Change of the plane." He said walking with them out. "We're going to the airport and returning here before his arrival."
"But it could be dangerous."
He pulled the mask and hood hiding his face as Drake gestured at them. They had practiced a lot in their childhood days to change their voice while talking as Devil.
Aaron was still sitting leisurely, scrolling through his phone.
AFTER THREE HOURS
His furious gaze was at the door. He fisted his gloved hands. It was getting hard for him to wait.
"It's all over the news channels, boss." Drake muttered, staring at the display of the laptop.
"Text Ben. Tell him to keep my wife away from her phone, television, and everything." He said.
"Will do, boss." He took out his phone and began to hover his thumb over the screen. His eyes turned to the display of the laptop. "He's here." He got on his feet and left the room from the back door.
Antonio walked in. He was holding a briefcase. "Devil?" He asked, drifting his eyes on them.
Aaron motioned at the old chair and then turned his hand at Duante. "Devil." He said in a groggy deep voice.
"I can assume no word will go out." He asked.
"If you know how we work, Mr Rego. You shouldn't be here." Duante snarled, resting his gloved hand on the old desk.
He lifted the briefcase and placed it on the desk. He slid it forward. "Forty thousand pounds. Your fee. Duante Rego." He took the chair and looked up at him.
His hands fisted. He waited for him to say the words that he wanted to kill him. He motioned with his hand to continue.
"He's leaving this late at night for a meeting. There is a bomb in his plane. You have to stop him from boarding the plane." Antonio said, leaning forward.
Aaron's head snapped up in shock. They were expecting the opposite.
"Why?" He demanded tilting his head
Antonio smirked. "I can't explain. If I could, I would have talked to Duante. Whatever you want, I will give you. No harm should come to him."
"What if we couldn't save him? You'll lose your money." He waved his hand at the briefcase.
"Then I want you to sign the contract. You'll keep Eveleen, Duante's wife, and child safe." Antonio said.
"That's it?" He asked
"That's it. You can do it too. Stop him from getting on the plane." Aaron said.
"It's not easy. If he's already dead." He dropped the bomb on him.
"What the fu!" Antonio shot to his feet as he stared at them with big shock-filled eyes. His head began to shake. "It can't be. He can't die. He should be with his wife." he muttered to himself. His phone began to ring in his pocket. He didn't make a move, still staring at them with his dilated eyes.
"Your ringtone is irritating, man." Aaron snapped.
His hands shivered as he reached for his phone. He was in utter shock, his head was denying to believe it. "It's him. Andrew!"
"Who?" He was thankful that Aaron.
"My lost son. He… wants him to die." Antonio spoke, uncertainty lacing his sad tone.
"Put it on speaker." He told him.
"No!" he squealed as reality snapped in him. "You have to take Evie to a safe place. She's with a child. I can't believe her enduring everything. She's…."
"Are you going to cry?" Aaron mocked.
"Shut up!" he slammed his hand against the desk. "I love my family. This bastard!" He pointed his finger at the ringing display. "He kidnapped my daughter and grandchild. He killed my son-in-law. He tried to kill my son's wife. He would have if I hadn't assured him she wouldn't share a word with anyone when I'm certain she wouldn't. He's crazy. Bloody Stalker!"
Duante locked his jaw. Anger burnt through him. "Just answer the damn call and put it on speaker." He snarled.
Andrew answered it after staring at it for a long second. It was ringing continuously. Putting it on the speaker, he puddled in his seat.
"What took you so long, old man? I could have killed your grandson like I killed his father. Do you want to see him in cut pieces?"
"Why did you call?" he gritted his teeth.
"I'm so fucking glad. He's dead. Now! In the morning, you're introducing me to the family. And declaring me the boss and Eve… my future wife."
"That's not happening! She won't even spit at you. " He shouted in anger.
"You'll do it fucking old man. I can parcel you his fingers. Would you like that? Eveleen is Mine. Fucking mine. I saw her first. She was going to marry me. He took her from me. My beautiful Eve. You should see her in that tight dress. She was a fire."
All he could see was red, his knuckles were white.
"Shut the fuck up, you filth! I'll cut off your tongue for speaking about her like this. I will take your eyes." Antonio yelled in anger.
His laughter boomed from the other side. "Old man! You aren't capable of anything. My men in the mansion can kill you in your sleep. Do as I say. I'll be a good husband to my beautiful Eve."
Antonio grabbed the phone and slammed it against the wall. It went silent, the disturbing one.
He wanted to strangle Antonio, wanted to feed him on his own organs, cut him in pieces, and make him watch doing it.
"Do you want to sign the contract, Mr Rego?" He forced himself to stay in the chair, not slamming his fist in the face.
I'll talk to you later, Uncle. I have to keep my wife safe first. You're going to explain everything to me, certainly not sharing it with me. I'll make you regret it. You proved me right. I shouldn't let you be part of our family. I shouldn't hear Tom that day.
"Yes, you have to protect her and the heir."
His brows shot up. He didn't know the sex of his child. All he wanted was for them to be healthy and safe. He kept the question to himself. He would get many chances to know it.
