Chapter 51 The Key
After a few moments of small talk, Julia finally decided to excuse herself. This was, of course, one of the reasons she wanted to get out of the room and find out the truth.
Julia hurried to meet the maid she had sent earlier, then they quickly changed and left.
She got into a black car and took some chips and a laptop.
"What did you find in the bathroom while the man was washing his hands?"
"There's a lot I saw, and I hope this recording captures everything, including details I might have tried to avoid, because of course I didn't dare keep looking at him. I was afraid he'd become suspicious of me and think I was spying on him. However, the equipment you've provided is so sophisticated that it's highly likely that this will all work well and capture the small details I might have missed."
"I just hope his missing finger is actually recorded, because after all, it's a very valid characteristic that could prove he's the culprit."
"Are there any other signs besides that?"
Julia fell silent again, remembering the man's acceptance of her gift. There was no sign that he was left-handed. In fact, he took the gift with his right hand, like any normal human being. A normal human being without any disabilities. As for the scar on his face, Julia certainly couldn't recognize it very well, as his entire face was covered in hair. Whether it was intentionally treated that way or not, it made it even more difficult for the world to recognize that she hadn't committed a violent act by capturing him and proving it herself in a very valid way.
"One of the things that struck me as odd was when the man turned on the faucet with his left hand. Was he a man?"
"Did you know that? Can you confirm it? Is it recorded here?"
"By God, I saw it with my own hand when he turned on the faucet with his left hand."
Julia was so overjoyed that she immediately reviewed all the recordings. Even though the woman had to see 1/1, all of that was not a problem because she was so sure that sooner or later all of this would be revealed and even Julia believed that she would get what she had been looking for.
"There's a lot of footage, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. I recorded everything meticulously because I didn't want to miss a single moment. Of course, you also mentioned that the people you suspect aren't just one person, but a group. Therefore, I searched for and approached everyone there who seemed so close to Mr. Adam. That's the only thing we have to be wary of, because usually those who commit crimes always group together to carry out their actions, pretending to be very close business partners, and that's the best excuse for them."
It was certainly an extraordinary challenge, and Julia was thrilled by the extraordinary performance of the teams she had assigned. In fact, she was initially very concerned about asking for help from the elite police team, because that was the only reason this would get out, and she was afraid it would spread and be revealed to Mr. Michelle. However, when Julia told her about this, several of her friends were very resolute, even emphasizing to Julia that this would remain confidential and that they considered this to be just a business partnership. Julia would pay them what they deserved, and they would do a great job. Of course, the woman immediately agreed, convinced that no one could be as professional as the gangs of professional criminals and the elite police force. Julia, meanwhile, already knew them well, and they always worked together and understood each other's signals.
"Thank you so much, guys. I never expected to end up here. At first, I was so hesitant to come here alone. Luckily, you guys were able to accompany me and even picked up some things I could use as clues. Thank you again. Without you, I'm so sure none of this would have happened, and I would have lost in so many ways. Furthermore, in the past few days, I've learned about several events that will surely serve as a reason for us all to learn about the criminals who must pay for all of this."
"I don't know if the evidence we've gathered tonight is enough. If you need us someday, don't hesitate. We can conduct this investigation and find some free time. You know, the past few months haven't been particularly stressful to require us to work extra hard, right? We've only been trying to spy on the past few months to find the real culprits in several crimes that have occurred in this country. However, of course, those cases aren't time-consuming; they're so much more than that, so we have plenty of time to do something quite enjoyable like this. So, don't feel so embarrassed. If you need our help, we'll be happy to assist you as best we can."
One of Julia's friends looked at Julia and then said something that quite surprised her. "Actually, Rebecca already knows about this, and one of the reasons is that she told us to always support you. I don't really understand what that woman really knows, but I think she's your best friend and she'll always support you no matter what, right? Even though you haven't told her about this mission yet."
Julia was shocked to learn that her best friend knew about her plans tonight.
"Are you sure about all of this?"
"I'm very serious about all the facts. What else can I do? This is a fact you should know in secret, and I don't want your friendship to be damaged by this."
Julia's expression became extremely tense. The woman had indeed told her several things that made her deeply suspicious about the problems with her husband. But of course the woman also did not tell her friend that this criminal might have connections with the mafia or something else, and for some reason this managed to make Julia feel so flattered and also worried that she was afraid that her friend would find out about her husband's true identity and that was something that could be said to be very scary.
