Chapter 5 Julia’s Big Decision
Julia could only swallow her saliva with difficulty. She had surrender if indeed Kay intended to pull the trigger of his gun. Facing a pressure, Julia still did not want to say the truth to Kay.
“W … what do you mean, Sir?”
Kay’s lips twitched, his jaw tightened as he heard Julia’s question which meant Julia was still unwilling to admit her purpose. Harshly, Kay pulled the mask that covered Julia’s real face and he also pulled her voice changer tool then he threw them to the ground until it was broken.
“Are you still going to equivocating, Miss?” Kay was looking at Julia with a sharp gaze. And when Kay was going to pull the trigger, Julia quickly kicked Kay’s belly and she bowed down.
The bullet missed her, it was almost hit Julia’s head though. Kay was getting angry. He immediately pulled her hand. He clenched her hands then stepped on her head roughly.
“Let go of me!” Julia screamed.
“What a crazy imposter! Who told you to come to my gang?”
“I wasn’t told by anyone!” Julia shouted.
Kay hit Julia’s head harder it made Julia felt throbbing all over.
“I came here by myself.”
Kay furrowed his brows. “Why did you so eager to come to the basement?” he asked again.
It seemed that Julia can no longer lie. She gulped her saliva with difficulty.
“I’m looking for my fiance,” she answered honestly. Hearing that, Kay still did not want to believe, it could be that this cunning woman was lying to him. Julia was not just any woman, she had a great marital arts. And the fact that she had all of those tool to impersonating someone, not just anyone could have those. “Robin is my fiance. He promised to take me from work, but he suddenly disappeared. And I got a message that he was taken by Black-Dragon mafias on the district. That’s why I’m here, because I wanted to free him.”
“Do you think I would believe you?”
“I don’t care! I have told you the truth.” Julia answered with a sad gaze. “Tell me where did you keep Robin, tell me!” she screamed.
“I don’t know any Robin.”
“Robin Ash, he was a sheriff of this town! I’m sure he knew about you, that’s why you took him! Or did you kill him? You’re a cold blooded mafia, you could have killed him and—”
Julia’s words stopped when Kay pulled the trigger again, creating the screeching sound from his gun.
“I am indeed a mafia boss, a cold blooded killer, a robber. But one thing about me … I have never been and will never be a liar.” Kay emphasized that then he let go of Julia.
Julia who was hurting gave a message to her body, then she looked at Kay with a sad gaze.
“Don’t lie to me. I’ve done this far!”
“You should have known that it was your fiance who was the liar.”
“No, I trust Robin. He’s a sweet man and—”
Kay smiled. He grabbed Julia by her throat. “Maybe your idiocy was the one that drove him away.”
After saying that, Kay threw his gun to Julia, making Julia who caught the gun confused with so many question marks inside her head.
What was Kay thinking? Did he want Julia to kill herself with that gun?
“Take the gun. Maybe you would want to kill your fiance after you get to meet him.”
Yes, that was the only thing that came out of Kay’s lips. Until finally, Kay left Julia alone.
Julia was still unwilling to believe. She sat stupidly in the basement. How come her prediction slipped? Did Robin lie to her? It was clear that the mafia Robin was talking about was the mafia with Kay as the boss. Then, how come Robin was not here? Was Julia’s struggle ended up in vain?
Julia smiled bitterly. She held her head as her tears began to melt. She couldn’t believe that she did all of this idiocy just because she trusted a man too much.
Until finally, after Julia calmed down, she rushed to meet Kay privately.
The man was still puffing his cigarettes while making out with a woman. He squinted at Julia with his sharp gaze. He then told the woman to leave and put on his shirt and pants.
Julia who saw that lowered her head deeply, feeling ashamed of walking into naked Kay.
“What do you want now? Do you want to die?”
Julia immediately kneeled before Kay. She then give Kay’s gun back.
“Help me, Sir. I beg you ….” Julia said with a trembling voice. Her tears wouldn’t stop flowing on her cheeks. “Help me find my fiance. I’m sure he was kidnapped, I’m sure his life is in danger now.”
Kay grinned again. He clenched his jaw as he heard Julia’s stubbornness. He then walked closer to Julia and pulled Julia’s jaw as he smiled slyly.
“If I help you, what will I get in return, Miss? You don’t even have anything.”
Julia swallowed hard. “I … I will be your servant.”
“I don’t need that, I have a lot already.”
Julia looked at Kay with a scared look. “I can give you money.”
“I have much more money than you.”
“Just tell me what you want, Sir. I’ll give anything to you.”
Kay smiled as he found something that would benefit him.
“Be my slut!”
Julia was unable to breathe, her eyes opened wide as she heard Kay’s words.
“Robin Ash was on Mr. Hobart’s team, was he not? Right now he lives in another town to enjoy life with a new identity.”
Kay threw pictures of Robin. Julia couldn’t believe that it would be that fast for Kay to get the information about her fiance.
“I can bring you to him, if you agreed with my terms.”
“Very well.”
Kay rose his brow, he didn’t expect Julia to make the decision that fast.
“You can think about it first.”
“No need, I’ll do anything for you to bring me to Robin right now.”
“Fine. Go change your clothes and we’ll go there now.”
And sure enough, the two of them immediately went to the town where Robin lived now. Julia was eager to meet Robin. She wanted to ask for an explanation of why Robin kept lying to her? He lived with a new identity in another town, what was he thinking?
Until finally when they arrived at the casino, Julia looked at Kay with so much doubt. Meanwhile Kay who seemed relaxed while puffing his cigarettes told Julia to get off the car.
“You can find your jerk fiance there.”
Julia was still silent. Was it true that Robin was here? It felt impossible. Robin was someone who least enjoy being on a bar, a club, and especially a casino.
With a stiff expression, Julia finally got out of the car. Kay did the same but he made quite some distance from Julia.
Julia spread her gaze, she kept looking for someone she was looking for all these times. Until finally she stopped in her track, she walked with uncertainty as she saw what was before her eyes.
Yes the man she had been looking for was making our with a woman. Not only did they kiss, they also did many other things that Julia just couldn’t imagine her fiance would be doing with another woman.
Julia’s tears fell again. She immediately grabbed Robin’s arm. The man was so surprised to see Julia there.
“Julia, what are you doing here?”
“I should be the one asking you that, Robin. Why are you here, huh? Weren’t you kidnapped by a mafia?” Julia asked. She was trembling as she asked for the truth, and Robin seemed to be confused about how to answer her.
“Who is this woman, Jack?”
“Jack? Who the hell is Jack?” Julia asked.
“He’s my husband, Jackie Stond. And who are you?”
Julia’s eyes bulged, until finally Kay gave her the pictures of Robin and that woman’s wedding.
“I forgot to tell you something. Your fiance who was kidnapped by a mafia was actually married to the daughter of a known business man named Alexander Lerman.”
Destroyed. That was what Julia was feeling. She looked at the wedding picture with blurry gazes, then she looked at Robin who was still silent.
Julia took a gun from Kay’s belt then she put the gun on Robin’s face.
Everyone there was screaming hysterically upon seeing that. They were all trying to hide and save their asses.
“Liar ….” Julia spoke as her tears was melting down her cheeks. “Liar!” she shouted.
“Julia, listen to me. Calm down. I can explain everything, I—”
“Didn’t you think what would I have done to you? I even was impersonating as one of the damn mafia and sacrificing my life just to look for you. But what did I get in return? You married another woman, Robin! You’re a liar?” Julia screamed.
When Julia was unable to control herself anymore, she pulled the trigger. But Kay quickly pulled the gun that the bullet hit his shoulder instead.
Julia was shocked, but Kay was still acting as if nothing had happened. He immediately grabbed Julia possessively.
“Killing that jerk would be a good loss for you, Miss. Let me help you get revenge for what he’s done to you,” Kay whispered.
Julia glanced at Kay. She didn’t know what Kay was planning to do. But from how Kay sounded, it seemed that it was the best way for now. Julia nodded her head, then she looked at Robin again.
“Remember, Robin. You will get what you deserve for what you’ve done to me.”
After saying that, Julia and Kay left the casino. Julia pulled Kay’s hand and she wanted to talk about what would Kay do to help her get revenge.
“Tell me what would you do to help me?” Julia asked, she didn’t seem to be interested in doing any small talk.
Kay smiled. He took a deep breath. “That woman’s father was the biggest opium illegal merchant, it could be said that he was one of my loyal business relation. We can use that woman’s father to destroy your fiance.”
“How so?”
Kay didn’t answer, he chose to stay silent and make Julia curious.
“Would that plan succeed?” Julia asked, doubtful.
Kay grinned then ke peck on Julia’s lips. “Succeed or not, it depends on your decision. Would you be willing to marry me or not?”
“What?”
“Marry me and I will avenge what he’s done to you.”
Julia could only be silent. It was such a difficult offer. What should she answer now? Should she agree to marry Kay? But, she didn’t love him at all!
