Chapter 49 Obsess Kay
The group leaders discussed among themselves, trying to find solutions to the various missions they were currently planning to undertake. They then sought advice from the mafia leader, but for some reason, Kay seemed unable to concentrate at all these days. He often daydreamed and remained silent, as if there was a thought deep inside him that no one could shake.
"Sir, is there something important that's making you so quiet? If there's anything we can help with, please tell us. We're ready to assist you with all our best. You don't need to think too much about what's happening. Just trust that everything is fine."
Hearing this, Kay smiled wryly, and he tried to get his men to ignore the problem.
"Does this have anything to do with your parents' killer? I heard some time ago that you managed to get the names of your father and mother's killers. So, what's the progress of that case, sir? Considering your goal in becoming a mafia member was to solve your parents' deaths, solving that case is certainly our primary goal."
"Even now, I still can't confirm whether they really killed my parents. The problem is, when I was about to meet them, there was a case we had to resolve, so my personal case was inevitably delayed. But that's all fine, and you don't need to worry about it. I've already ordered some of our members to scout ahead, and I'm hoping for a very encouraging clue. I certainly don't want this matter to drag on. It's been decades, and I will never let that man and his family live in peace. Kay gripped the fallen tree in her hand, hoping she would never have to meet those hypocritical people again. The man couldn't wait to peel the skin off the Adam family's son before his own father's eyes. But before he was truly sure that the family might have killed his father, he had to make sure first, he was not a petty criminal where he would commit a crime or retaliate so stupidly, especially when the target he wanted to kill was not yet certain if it was the real target. He did not want to make a wrong move because after all, this would be the last revenge that he might do and he made sure that everything would end in a good way.
Tonight, Julia finally made a huge decision. How could she not? She truly had an extraordinary determination to find out who Mr. Adam was. Tonight, there was an invitation for entrepreneurs, directly invited by God, to get to know each other, because after all, this entrepreneur was still relatively new. Being a new entrepreneur in this country, Mr. Adam naturally needed several business connections and even had to get to know important people in the country. And that's where such a revolving invitation was so easy between various connections and so on, and this is where Julia truly positioned herself so well. Fortunately, she was now the wife of a very well-known entrepreneur. When she opened the message in her husband's email, she saw the electronic invitation and rushed to attend. It was as if she had received a golden ticket from God, giving her the opportunity to find out who killed her husband's parents. Julia would do anything with great care.

Julia stepped out of a luxurious black limousine, gracefully and charmingly. Many of the businesspeople and invited guests were whispering to each other as they stared at Julia, all naturally curious about this incredibly beautiful figure, whose face was quite unfamiliar to them.
"Excuse me, are you Mr. Alexander's wife?"
"Yes, my husband happens to be overseas on business and cannot be left behind due to serious business. So, I had no choice but to come here in his place out of respect for Mr. Adam. Besides, I visited his company a while ago, and we came together, and you know me very well."
The attendant immediately provided special service to Julia after she admitted this.
And it turned out Julia wasn't the only one there. The woman saw Robin standing with his wife, acting all arrogant, befitting a famous businessman. Robin's face widened when he saw Julia was also one of the guests at Mr. Adam's party. The man quickly grabbed a drink and approached Julia.
"Tell me, since when has a police officer attended a party where all the guests are businessmen? In fact, it's safe to say that all the businessmen invited here are internationally renowned."
Robin began to mock her ex-boyfriend until he finally said something that made Julia extremely annoyed.
"Oh yes, I forgot, aren't you now Mrs. Alexander? It's truly wonderful, Mrs. Alexander. You don't have to do any hard work, and then suddenly become the wife of such an incredibly successful businessman whose name is constantly mentioned and praised by all the other businessmen. But where is my husband? Why did you come alone? Or is it just because you're obsessed with attending such a luxurious event that when your husband can't go, you happily come alone? What a shameless woman."
“Aren’t we the same? At least I became Mrs. Alexander not by dumping my lover, but I became Mrs. Alexander in a very honorable way and also loved very sincerely by my husband. Of course, hearing this made Robin incredibly upset, but Julia quickly decided to leave when she saw that Robin's wife looked upset over their conversation.
After all, Julia wasn't here to speed things up, but to find out the facts about what she had been searching for.
