Coban's POV
I had my love in my arms, her head resting on my chest, her arms wrapped around my neck.
Damn that feels good. I close my eyes while everyone around me was discussing what happened.
Damn, I could just lay like this forever. As I was sitting here, with her in my arms, I dozed off. I was up all night with Trixie, tending to her. I had to keep her company. I had to be awake incase she woke up. I had to be. I let sleep drag me under.
"Human, wake up now!" Conan says as he's pacing back and forth trying to wake me up.
"Shit, not now. I'm tired. Damn, I was up all night." I say to my lycan as I'm trying to go back to sleep.
"No human. Use your damn nose. It's Trixie, our mate is going into her first heat!!" Conan says excitedly as he's pouncing up and down.
That's all it took. My eyes opened wide. I breathed in deeply taking a big breath, trying to get a big whiff.
"Are you sure, buddy." I ask as yep, there it is. That sweet and intoxicating scent.
"Caden, don't do anything rash, but I was dozed off when Conan woke me up. Take a big deep breath. Smell that scent. " I say to him through our link, hoping he don't go apeshit and literally toss all the men out of the room like a damn caveman.
Caden was standing over by the bar, talking to Calvin, Darien, Kevan and the rest of the guys.
I saw him take a deep breath. Then another. His eyes opened wide as he breathed in again. He walked over to where we are sitting on the couch, mid-conversation and leaned over with an ear-to-ear grin on his face.
"Is that what I think it is?" Caden asked excitedly as he sat down and put his hands on Trixie's back, running his hands up to her shoulders.
"Yes brother, our Queen is having her first heat!!!" I said as I smiled down at the girl in my arms with so much love.
"They need to leave. The guys. I have to get them out of here!" He says as he goes to stand up but I stopped him.
"Caden, calm the fuck down. One, no one in this room would ever hurt our girl. Two, I wouldn't let no one in this room hurt our girl. Three, and incase they are lucky enough to get past me, I know you would protect her until your last breath. So calm the fuck down. Go over there and calmly let them know what's going on. They will understand. Tell them we need updates with any and all new information. We still have a palace to protect. I'm going to carry our girl to the bedroom since I have her in my arms already. Come in and join us brother when they leave." I say to him with a smirk.
"You damn straight I'll be joining you two in just a second. Oh, thank you brother. For real." He says genuinely.
I stand up with Trixie in my arms, and I go into our room and shut the door. I lay her down on the bed as I lay down beside her, still with her in my arms.
"Babe, did everyone leave?" She asks sleepily while a yawn comes from her mouth.
"Caden is letting everyone know to leave that we need to be alone." I say as I move my hand up her thigh.
"Babe, I don't feel right, I feel hot." She says quietly as she runs her hands up my chest.
"Coban" she moans as her one hand cups my neck and the back of my head.
"Love, your going into your first heat. Don't worry love, Caden and I are here to help you. We will take care of you my love." I say huskily as I reach down and claim her lips.
