Chapter 75 Captured
Coban's POV
"Darien, have you found Lydia yet?" I ask.
"No, not yet. Sorry Sir. The palace is on lockdown so hopefully we find her soon." He says hopefully.
I open the pack link so everyone will be able to hear.
"May I please have everyone's undivided attention. Incase you don't know, this is your king, King Coban. Earlier tonight there was an attack on your King, Caden and your Queen, Trixie. Queen Trixie is badly hurt. We have locked down the palace until the guilty party is found. We are offering a $100,000 reward for information leading up to her capture. She is one of the lady's waiting. Her name is Lydia. Please, if you have any information, let us know. You can mind-link King Caden or myself. Any and all information given will stay private. Thank you and please continue the celebration and thanks for her birthday wishes." I announce and then I close the link.
"Brother, tell me you just didn't do that." He says as he smirks.
"Yes brother, I did. I want her found and NOW."
I say as I'm sitting beside my love, holding her hand.
Eugene has checked her out and continues to do so. The dagger literally went all the way through her chest, barely missing her heart.
Eugene stitched her up. He said she's doing as good as we can expect.
"Coban, she took that dagger for me, without an ounce of hesitation. Didn't even think twice." Caden says with tears in his eyes.
"Human, she took that dagger because she's a healer. What would of killed Caden only injured her. She is definitely going to heal." Conan explains.
"Thank you, buddy."
I relayed what my Lycan said to Caden. It helps, it does but I'm definitely glad I'm not in his shoes right now.
"Hey, King Coban." A small voice came through mindlink. "Yes, this is he." I answer anxiously.
"I'm in the lady's restroom, downstairs, right outside the ballroom. Lydia is hiding in the vents. I don't want the money. Just please, just take care of our Queen." The lady says.
"Are you sure? We will check this information out now. If you change your mind, the offer is always there. Thank you very much. This really means alot to us." I say to her.
"Please, just get her and make her pay!" She said as she closed the link.
"Darien, you and Lucian take a team of warriors to the lady's restroom downstairs, first floor, closest to the ballroom. We had a tip that she's in the vents. Be careful." I order and then close the link.
"Brother, Lydia was seen in the vents in the bathroom downstairs. Darien is taking a team in now." I catch him up on what's happening.
"Thank Fuck. I'm going to kill that bitch." He says angrily.
"Calm down brother. Trixie needs us now more than ever." I say softly to him.
"My Kings, sorry to intrude. I was going to knock but Samantha let us in." Calvin says.
"It's alright Alpha, your worried about her as well. They all are aloud to come in and visit her. We don't mind." I tell him with a smile.
"Any information on Lydia's whereabouts?" Calvin asks.
"A lady just linked, we're checking it out now." I answer.
"Coban,Caden. We have Lydia. She was in fact in the vents. She did happen to splash one of the warriors with wolfsbane. I have her in silver shackles and cuffs." He says proudly.
"Good Job Darien. Thank You. Put her in isolation in the pit for now. No one enters. No food, no drinks. Nothing brought in to her." I order. "Darien, was there a lady in there. The one that tipped us off?" I asked him. " No, but there was a lady heading out as we were heading in. She lowered her head. I didn't get a real good look at her though. Sorry My Kings." Darien says.
"Thank Godess, atleast she's caught and getting locked up!" Caden says.
"Kevan, update me." I ask my beta.
"There was a group of rogues at the southern and west southern borders. They were threatening to cross over into our lands. A different group threatened to blow the dungeon, threw a few smaller bombs and grenades. No one was hurt." He explained.
"The guys on the Northern border saw movement. They took three down. Maybe more. They injured a few as well. One of the injured got away, Sir, that was Dante. Benjamin took a bullet to the back. Not sure how serious, but he did get away as well. We have warriors searching the vicinity but so far we have found no trace of them. Sorry Sir." Kevan says.
"Damn. So it was a ruse. They tried to keep everyone away from the Northern border. Check out the area. They had her hidden here this entire time and he personally came for her. Damn it." I rant. "Hey Kevan, take Zak into custody for questioning. Dante wasn't working alone. We have atleast a couple more moles." I say.
"We did check the area. There's a cave they were staying in. It reeks of them both. Zak is already in custody. I was thinking exactly what you were man." He says.
"Great minds think alike" I say to him laughing. "Good job. Keep me updated."
"Caden, how's our Queen. How are you and Caden holding up?" He asks genuinely concerned.
Damn. That's all it took. Tears instantly filled my eyes. Damn it.
"Kevan, sorry. I'll answer that. We're as good as can be expected. Trixie is stable. She's still unconscious but stable. Good work tonight. You made us proud. That's why your our beta. Our second. We love you man." Caden says and ends the link.
"Thanks brother". I say shaking my head.
Its going to be one long night.
