Chapter 66 Mates confirmed
Darien's POV
My brother and I are upstairs in the Kings quarters having a cup of coffee.
It's the next room over from Trixie's as we don't go far away from her.
We give her space and stay out of the sight, but we will not ever be far away from her.
From the moment, I first met Ms Trixie, I knew I had to protect her.
She's so innocent and kind. The world will tear her apart like they did my sister when she was only 10. She even has the same golden hair and hazel eyes Dariah had.
"What is it Rex. What's wrong with you. You have been pacing for over ten minutes now." I asked Rex, my Lycan. "Tell me you smell it. That scent, it's so beautiful. Dare, how can you be so calm." Rex says hurriedly.
I took a couple of deep breaths. He's right. That scent is truly the most beautiful scent Ive ever smelled. Cinnamon and brown sugar.
"Mate" Rex said.
"Lucian, does Luke smell anything." I ask him.
"I farted a few minutes ago so probably so." He smirks. Ugh really this isn't no time for jokes.
"Brother, for real." I say as I roll my eyes.
"Luke's been pacing, pissing me off for ten minutes now. He keeps saying that scent." He says as he rolls his eyes.
"Brother, take a deep breath." I tell him.
"Mate" my brother says surprisingly.
"I mindlinked King Coban and he confirmed that there was someone new here at the palace.
Maybe it's her. Maybe it's mate." I say to my brother.
"Where could she be?" He asks me.
"I'm not sure, maybe she's a new maid." I say as I shrug my shoulders.
"You should of asked him to be more specific." Lucian says as he rolls his eyes.
"Duh, why didn't I think of that?" I say as I smack my head. "King, I scent my mate and I'm going to leave yours unguarded to go find her."
"Always so dramatic." Lucian says.
As we were sitting there arguing back and forth I get a mind-link from Trixie.
I thought she knew we were twins. I guess she didn't because that's what she asked.
"Brother, Queen is requesting our presence in the sitting room." I say.
We go to the door and I begin to open it and the scent gets stronger. It's mate. She's in there.
"Ms Trixie, who's in the room with you?" I ask her.
"Darien, just get in here!" She demands.
My brother and I walk into the room, "Ms Trixie, what is it that you needed?" I ask.
"Darien, I want you to meet someone." She smirks as she walks up to me.
"Oh yeah, or do you just want to be around another set of twins?" I say as I return the smirk.
"You figured me out." She winked. "But sweetheart, it's you two that couldn't handle this." She grinned as she motioned down at her body.
"My Queen. Was you propositioning us." I say in mock defense with my hand over my heart.
"Darien, Lucian, this is my very best friend ever," she said as she took us both by the hand and led us into the next room. "Guys, this is Roxie."
"Mate". We all three said in unison.
"You knew?" I whispered.
"She scented two scents. I knew you two were the only ones here on this floor. My kings would kill anyone else. Plus I smelled two scents when I scented them." Trixie said matter of factly.
"Hello Roxie. I'm Darien and this is Lucian, my twin." I say to Roxie.
"Hello guys." She says shyly as her face turns a beautiful shade of red.
"Rox, Guys, I'll let you three get to know eachother. I have a hair stylist and a makeup artist coming any minute now. Darien, just send them in when they get here please." Trixie says politely.
"No can do" I tell her " Sorry Ms. Trixie, but we have to be in the room with you. You can't be left alone with anyone outside a certain group, per Kings orders." I tell her.
"Well, then can one of you come in and it gives you both time to talk to Rox. Either that or can you all come in and you three sit at the sofa while I'm getting all dolled up for my twins." She suggests as she gives me a pouty face and puppy dog eyes.
"Thank you Ms Trixie." I say as I walk over and give her a hug.
We all go in the room and sit and talk while Trixie is getting her makeup and hair fixed for the coronation.
Roxy is absolutely beautiful. She has long wavy brown hair with chestnut colored eyes. I found my mate. My beautiful Roxy.
