Chapter 52 Rest now
Coban's POV
Caden opens his eyes and looks directly at Trixie as if she's the only person in the room.
"My Queen" he says weakly "Your here, your safe." He smiles at her.
"My King, are you trying to leave me already." She pouts.
Before he could say anything else she spoke up again.
"Shhhhh my King. Your still weak. Don't waste your strength, please. I can't let anything happen to you. You you almost left me." She stutters out.
He reaches and takes her hand and squeezes it gently. "I'll never leave you, My Queen." He says to her. She bends down and kisses his forehead, then places one on his lips. "Rest now My King." She says gently to him.
"How" I say to the room. "It's their gift. Their a healer." Conan says proudly, puffing out his chest.
"My love" I say as I come up and stand beside her, wrapping an arm around her waste.
"You saved him."
Caden looked up at Trixie with Awe as he caught on to what I said.
Darien and Lucian walks up to us.
"Sorry My Kings. When she heard he went down she demanded we take her to him. She was persistent sir." He said shyly.
I look at her and she shrugged her shoulders.
"You told her?" I yell. "She felt the pain in her chest as I was on mindlink. Her wolf informed her that their mate needed her. I'm sorry Sir." He explains.
I look at her and she meets my look back with one of her own and she smiles widely.
"Sir, it's Calvin." Eugene says.
"What!! No!!! Not him too !!! What's wrong with him. Take me to him now!!!" Trixie says frantically.
"He's also been shot with a silver bullet. It was meant for me. He pushed me out of the way and took the bullet himself. He was stable. ". I say.
"Caden, I'll be right back. I promise. I wouldn't leave your side ever. But I must save him. I can't lose him." Trixie says to Caden as she kisses his forehead.
"Save him my beautiful lady. " Caden says back to her.
"Thank you for saving me beautiful. "
We make it over to Calvin's bed. He's unconscious. Damn. He just flatlined.
The doctor rushed over but before he can reach Calvin, she sticks her hand up stopping him.
"You can't help him doctor. But I can."
She places both hands upon his chest. Bright light around her. She removes her hands. Then silence.
All of a sudden Calvin coughs.
"Hey Cal". Trixie says. " Thank you for saving my mate but that was awful stupid of you. I had to bring you back to life just to tell you that." She smirks.
Darien, Lucian, myself and even Caden bursted out laughing.
He nods at her and returns the smirk.
I grab a glass of water and help him take a drink.
"Thank you King, I needed that." He said to me making Trixie chuckle.
"Trix if it wasn't for you giving all your attention to your mates now I wouldn't of had to take such drastic measures." He raises a brow at her.
Their antics earned them another round of laughter.
"Did we stop them?" Caden asks through mindlink.
"Yes brother, we sure did."
"My King. We caught up with the vehicle that was leaving before the explosion. We got them detained in the old dungeon." The warrior announced.
"Thank you. Good job." I reply.
After I got off that mindlink, I linked the lead at the dungeon as well as the bunker and let them know I already sent a team out to release them.
I have Caden moved to his bed in our own Quarters so he can rest more comfortably. He's been through a lot. Although Eugene said he was in perfect health and he remarkably recovered we still want him to rest just to make sure.
I also had Calvin taken to a guest room in our quarters so we can monitor him as well.
"Coban, I know your busy and you have a lot to do anyway. I can go up with Caden and Calvin and sit with them." She says softly.
I turn facing her and kiss her lips. She returns the kiss. I touch her cheek with one hand and place my other hand on the back of her head and nip at her bottom lips, asking for permission for entrance. She obliged. Our breathing picks up. She runs her hands up my chest.
"My love" I say then I go back to tasting her lips. Kissing her. "Coban" she moans. My tongue explores every inch of her mouth. Damn I'm having thoughts I shouldn't be having.
"You two get a room". Kevan says as he enters the room laughing and shaking his head.
We pull apart slowly, hesitantly.
Then I smash my lips back on hers. More desperate now. This time heated. Our tongues fight for dominance. "Coban" she moans lightly so only I can hear. Neither of us caring about the others in the room. I pick her up by her thighs and now holding her entire weight as she wraps her beautiful legs around my waste and her arms around my neck. "Coban" she moans again. Damn this girl. "My love we need to stop now cuz if we don't I won't be able to." I whisper in her ear. "Then don't stop." She whispers back. As she slams her lips back on mine.
"My King. You still need to address the guests in the ballroom. Their getting restless." Kevan says through mindlink.
We finally pull apart, still staring into eachothers eyes.
"You had me worried love but I got your message." I say to her.
"You figured it out." She's says.
"Thank you love for keeping you all safe, and for getting us a message that you were safe. I have to go address the guests. I'll be up to our quarters shortly. I'll have Darien and Lucian take you up." I say to her softly.
"I'll be waiting on you my King."
