Chapter 134 Luna Celebration
Trixie's POV
The drive takes hours, five maybe six, but no one complains. A convoy of black SUVs cut through the darkening forest roads. The engines steady, spacing is precise. Lycans ride in silence. They are alert, even after the long distance between the packs. This isn't a casual visit, distance doesn't mean safety.
When the shadow pack finally comes into view, it rises out of the trees like something carved from the mountain itself.
Dark stone and iron Gates are seen as I look out my window. Lights flicker against the coming dusk. The convoy slows, then rolls through the gate in perfect order.
Security fanning out before the doors even open.
Coban's hand rests at the small of my back as we step out. Caden moves to my other side, silent and watchful.
Kevan follows with Sabrina tucked close to him. Mark just behind with Tina at his side.
Darien and Lucian moves just a step ahead. Roxie is placed between them. Their attention never still.
The Lycan warriors spread out seamlessly, into a living perimeter.
Were welcomed before we can even reach the steps. Benjamin comes down the steps of the pack house first. He is followed by Trinity. Their smiles widen as they move towards us.
"Welcome." she says warmly. "All of you." she says, as she is still wearing a huge smile.
Hello Trinity, Benjamin." I say as Coban wraps his arm around me firmly.
"Hello Benny." Coban smirks and we all chuckle. "So, you all made it. Thanks for coming. We're finally able to have her celebration. It took long enough." Benjamin said as we are headed in the pack house.
Rooms we're assigned quickly. That way we were able to go freshen up or get some rest before the festivities started this evening.
We get our things to our rooms. Caden, Coban and I are laying on the bed resting for a moment. "Guys, do you think we're safe here tonight?" I say, as my gaze flickers between my men.
"Love, I can't guarantee nothing will happen. But what I can guarantee is, you will be kept safe and always protected." Coban says as he kisses my lips. Our kiss is slow and gentle. We finally break apart.
"Little mouse, you have two mates." he said as he playfully rolled his eyes.
"Awe, are you feeling a bit left out, babe?" I say as I tease him. "Yes" he pouts and puffs his bottom lip out. I lean in and and kiss him softly. The kiss turns heated fast. Coban's lips latch onto my neck as Cadens tongue searches every inch in my mouth. "My Kings." I say breathlessly as Caden and I pull back for air.
"Yes love" Coban says as he takes the flesh of my neck between his teeth. "Tonight" I breathe out. "I want my men together. Taking me together." I say, as I tilt my head back slightly.
Caden's eyes are blown wide and Coban sucks harder on my neck, causing me to groan in pleasure. "Anything for our queen." Caden says as he kisses me again.
We all meet up outside the pack house. Long tables are set up out back. Lights are placed everywhere creating a beautiful glow. Food is laid out on the tables that are lined with golden tablecloths and flowers surrounding all of it for decoration.
The food smells amazing, making my mouth water. "Something feels off." Leigha says as we're all surrounding the table to sit down. "What is it Leigha. What feels off?" I say as I pause. "Not sure. Something is going to happen." she says as she stands alert.
"Coban, Caden." I said, as I turned to face them. "Leigha says something feels off. We should stay alert." Coban nods to Darien and Lucian as they relay something to them.
Us girls drifted away from the men after dinner and a toasts were made. We're all sitting at the benches to the side, but still within the view of the men. We all talk and laugh together like we're old friends we knew our entire lives.
"Guess what Trixie?" Trinity says beside me. "And if I guess wrong?" I say with a smirk. Trinity playfully smacks at me softly. "I'm pregnant." she says excitedly as Tina and Sabrina squealed. "No! Really! That means you and Trixie are Twinsies." Roxie says as her hands go up to her mouth.
I lean over and give Trinity a hug. "Congratulations. That's so wonderful. Things are finally going right for us." I say quietly to her.
"Thank you Trix." she says as we pull back from the hug.
I tell her about her father. She is very glad that he's out of the picture. That she don't have to worry about him anymore.
The night flows beautifully. We dance and laugh and we all share stories like traded secrets.
I catch Caden's eyes across the fire pit. His gaze is soft and steady. Coban stands nearby. He is speaking quietly with Benjamin. Kevin laughs at something Sabrina says. Mark spins Tina once, they look so careless and happy. Darien and Lucian remain alert, but even they look content.
Then the ground shudders. A dull boom rolls through the air from the south, followed by a second, a sharper one.
Those were explosions. The music stops. Our Lycan warriors snap into motion. Coban is already moving towards me. Caden turns sharply towards the border towers.
Darien and Lucian are at my side in an instant.
