Chapter 124 Alpha Benjamin
Benjamins POV
We got to the Shadow Pack around 8pm. It's now around 10pm. It's very different being in an alpha position. But atleast my men are here with me and everyone actually welcomed us for the most part. Hell, I brought my own army so yeah, there's not too much they are going to say regardless.
I have my men on patrol tonight. Not being mean or anything but I don't trust the warriors here yet. I don't know who's loyal to Alpha Blake and who's not. From what I heard earlier, he took the ones loyal to him with him. That's probably why the ones that's left welcomed me with open arms.
Trinity and I had this room redone. It didn't take them long. Hell, they did that while I was at the palace last night. I was very grateful for that. We both had a long day. I just want to curl up with my kitten and get some rest.
"Kitten, would you like me to run you a bath." I ask as I look down at her.
"Please Benny." She says just above a whisper. I know she feels out of place here and all or maybe it's the fact she's the Luna. Maybe both.
We got her officially in as Luna while the elders were here today. Some time next week we will have her Luna celebration. We had to do it assbackwards this time but we're alright with it.
"Alpha." Dante said through our link.
"Yeah, is something wrong." I ask as I'm testing the water in the spout, making sure it's purrfect for my kitten.
"You can say that. Ned was patrolling the southern border. He found some interesting equipment. Boss, he found explosives we make, that we detonate. Boss, I mean Alpha, sorry man. Anyway, I think Clarence and the men he took from you is going to light the sky with this project. I pulled all our men out of that area." He said as he talked so fast I had a hard time keeping up. "Send Ned and TJ up to the Alphas Quarters. They are to guard Trinity. I'm on my way." I said as the link closed.
I shot off a quick text to the kings and let them know what's happening. They did leave ten lycans here. That's really all they can spare with them being a target as well.
"Kitten, I will run you a bath when I get back. I'll explain later alright. Will you be a good girl for me and listen to Ned and TJ. They will stay with you and keep you safe." I said as I cupped her face with my hands.
"I love you Benny." Trinity said as she looked into my eyes. "I love you kitten. For now and forever." I bring my lips to hers in a slow and gentle kiss. We pull apart and I rest my forehead on hers. "Stay with only them. You hear me." I say soft but stern. "I promise Benny. Please be safe." She said as a tear came down her face.
"Boss, I mean Alpha we're here. We will keep Luna safe. We will guard her with our lives." Ned said with certainty.
"Thank you guys." I say and I give Trinity one more quick kiss and head out.
I meet up with Dante and a group of our warriors close to the north border. Where we think they will enter. I trained them. You set off an explosive and enter the opposite end. Well almost.
"This is where they will enter." Dante said with certainty. And I agree. "Let's hide over here. They will come from that direction. Keep atleast one alive boys." I say as we wait for this light show to begin. Yeah, we are looking in that direction as well. It would of been better but Dante disarmed most of it. He only left just a tiny boom, enough to fuck with there minds. Make them think they actually messed up.
Damn, Dante was definitely the right choice for my Beta. He's loyal to a fault. He's very smart and strategic.
"Do you think they are after you Ben." Dante asked as we watched the north end and for the tiny poof coming from the south.
"Blake took Brandi after he took her from me. So at this point it's hard to say. I would hope he'd come a little more prepared knowing he'd be facing me." I scoffed. Knowing I'm a much harder target than Blake is.
"There's movement boys. Time to party." I say through the link to my men.
There's more movement. It must be time to blow.
"Cover your ears boys. Also your eyes. You might go deaf and blind at this." I laugh through the link. The men let a few chuckles out but quiet down pretty quickly.
POOF nothing more than a single firecracker with one strand of brief flicker of a light.
"What the fuck." We heard from the treeline. "What the fuck is going on."
"Get them. Half shift, half not." I say as we go towards them.
We attacked. They tried to run but it didn't do them no good. There was only ten of them. They we're definitely outnumbered.
