Chapter 115 A Trial?
Alpha Blake's POV
How did those damn Kings know that we were attacking Benjamin. Fuck! They wiped out 55 of my best warriors.
The other packs are equally pissed. For good reasons as well. They took out a good amount of their men as well. It was going good until the fucking Lycans showed up. Hell, we were actually winning. We would of took Benjamin and his whole army out. They had to bring the Lycan army. It was hard enough to fight Benjamin's men. They were good.
"Any news on Clarence's whereabouts yet." I asked Darren.
"No, he took off right after he was told that Brandi escaped and we couldn't find her. I'm not sure he bought the story at all. If I were you I'd strengthen the perimeters." He said as he was reading through the emails the other packs sent us. They are more than pissed.
"What can he do? He has no fucking army. That's why he used us. He new we had a good one and more packs backing us. It just blew up in his face." I said as I shrugged my shoulders.
"Did the groups of warriors attack the other packs as well? Any news on the outcome?"
I opened up my emails and was reading them as well as I wait on him to answer.
"No, nothing yet. We're out of range for all to link. If they couldn't get back to the meeting spot then it might even be late this evening before we know anything." He said as his eyes got real big.
"We have a problem Alpha. I think you messed with the wrong ones this time." He said as his face paled and he has sweat beads on his forehead.
"What the hell is it Beta. Quit dilly dallying and just spit it out. Fuck. It can't be that bad." I said as I got up and poured me a shot of whiskey and threw it back. I held up the bottle, silently asking him if he would like any. He shook his head no. Oh well, saves more for me. I went back and sat down, taking another shot with me.
"Now what is this problem that has you all over here sweating like a damn pig." I asked as I took the shot.
"It's from the head Elder, Elder Roy." He said as he's literally shaking now.
"He's not the head. That's Elder Sean." I said as I rolled my eyes and continued looking through the emails.
"No Alpha, that changed not to long ago. Elder Roy, he took over the head as Sean dropped down. Personal reasons was what they announced." He said as he was typing on the keyboard.
"So, your telling me, While Alpha Melvin is in the dungeon and their gamma hasn't made it back yet." I pause and shake my head. This definitely isn't good.
"They just officially made him Alpha. Trixie didn't take the pack. Alpha Calvin had the ceremony the other day. That's why a few elders showed up there. The day after we attacked that pack, trying to take over. They announced it the very next day." My beta explained to me in full details.
"So, you knew Elder Roy was the head of council and you didn't even mention that before I attacked the pack that he was watching over?" I ask him with a raised brow.
"Alpha, in all respect, I thought you knew. Even if I would of mentioned it, you still would of attacked and not listened." He said as he raised one brow, his mouth in a straight line.
He is exactly right. I would of still ordered the attack. I had my men strategically placed there and placed in areas surrounding the pack. The attack would of been successful if once again, the damn Lycans didn't show up. We need to take the damn Lycans out. That's what I'm going to do. That's my damn problem. Them.
"So, is that what the email is about then?" I ask already loosing interest in this subject.
"Not exactly. Yes, it could be and probably is part of the reason. The council has called a meeting with the Lycan Kings." He said and paused.
"Oooh a meeting. Well high five to them." I say as I go back to reading the emails as I just happen to click on the one he's reading.
Oh this definitely isn't good. We do have problems.
"What the fuck! Why were you dragging your feet. Tip-toeing around the problem. Fuck man. Grow a pair of damn balls and spit it out. Why the hell didn't you tell me I'm being ordered to court. I'm on trial. On many fucking charges. This is all a bunch of lies. There's a damn list of them. Oh, trespassing as well. What kind of shit is this?" I seethed. I flung my arm, knocking everything off my desk. I picked up my shot glass and threw it at the wall. Anything that was in reach, I threw. Fuck. They can't do this. I'm a damn Alpha. They should respect me.
"Did you catch the date of the trial? Did you catch the fact that there will be no other alphas there? This isn't your regular trial where they put it to a vote amongst the other alphas. No, this is the Lycan Kings decision." My beta said as he wiped the sweat from his brow.
