Part 50
Part 50
Everyday, Christian had a new fascination, along with his love for dinosaurs, and today, it was penguins. “Did you know there’s a group of penguins called Macaroni Penguins?”
“I didn’t know that. Are you sure it’s Macaroni?” I couldn’t hide the smile on my face as he frowned slightly.
“Yeah, it’s Macaroni because of men’s tassels.”
“Right…what else can you tell me about penguins?”
“Penguins don’t really swim, they fly underwater! And in the water they’re called a raft of penguins. Why do they call penguins a raft? Did you know penguins can walk really far, and the boy penguins give girl penguins rocks instead of flowers? Oh, and penguins poop every twenty minutes.” He burst out laughing after that and I laughed with him.
“Where did you learn all this?” I was curious because Christian was four, his brain was like a sponge, but someone had to have told him about penguins.
“Miss Celine, my teacher. She’s the smartest person in the world!” His exclamation had me smiling again.
“Don’t tell Adara that.” I winked at him and he laughed again.
When we arrived at home, Adara was singing to herself in the kitchen, and I stood behind her and hugged her tightly. I smiled as I thought back to her mid-morning surprise and I could feel the arousal returning.
She laughed and turned around to look at me. “Control yourself, Kiran!”
“It’s harder than you think,” I said, as she burst out laughing at the hidden meaning.
“How was your day?” she asked me instead, as I laughed and sat down at the counter. I looked at her.
“I’m pretty sure you know the answer to that one.”
“You know I can’t read minds like Malachi. Why are you in such a good mood?”
Okay, fine if this is how you want to play it. “Oh, nothing much, you know, just a normal boring day at the office.” I looked knowingly at her but she frowned and turned back to the chopping board.
“You’re acting so weird today.”
She had me really confused, but maybe that was part of the whole fantasy thing for her, not to talk about it. ‘Two can play this game,’ I thought to myself and headed upstairs to change for training.
I took Christian for training and we met up with Malachi. He severely kicked my ass, as Christian would say, my mind was on earlier, and when Malachi finally closed his eyes, I remembered. I blushed suddenly.
“Sorry, Dad.”
“Really, Kiran, that wasn’t something I ever wanted to know.” I laughed at the look on his face and he caught me with two blows to the ribs as I grunted.
“I also want to know!” Christian said suddenly, and we burst out laughing again.
“When you’re eighteen, little man.” Malachi laughed loudly at that statement.
“Really, eighteen?” He posed the question and I laughed again.
We decided to call it quits and go home, and I could see Malachi was uncomfortable being in the same room as Adara. I started laughing again as Adara looked at me, and Malachi was rushing out of the kitchen.
“What’s up with Malachi?”
“Don’t worry about it.” She’d kill me if she knew that Malachi was privy to my dirty thoughts of what she’d done to me in my office.
Dezrael had taken care with the spell and she looked at the pot simmering on the stove. Lastly, she threw in her mother’s ashes and watched as it sank to the bottom. She stirred quickly while chanting.
“By Frigg, or Freya, I call upon thee, give me fertility this day now, by Loki and Hel, I call upon thee, give me her hair, her eyes, her body on this day, now.” She threw in a photo of Adara and waited for it to be submerged. She took the photograph out and the image of Adara was gone.
She smiled victoriously; the spell had worked. She waited for the concoction to cool down and then poured it into the prepared glass bottle she had blessed earlier. She showered, and thought of the whole coat and seduction scene.
Dezrael completed her transformation and drove to the hotel. It was chilly as she climbed out. Naked with only a coat on wasn’t her idea of fun, not in this weather. She walked up to the reception desk and asked for Kiran.
“Just one moment, Mrs. Sinclair. I’ll call his office to see if he is still there.” The woman dialed a number.
“Mr. Sinclair, your wife is here to see you. Yes, sir.” She smiled at her again as she put the phone down. “Mr. Sinclair requests that you meet him upstairs in his office.”
Dezrael just nodded and smiled at the woman who was clearly in love with her boss. She took a deep breath and looked at herself in the elevator’s mirror. What a transformation as she touched the blonde hair and smiled. Kiran was waiting for her as the doors opened.
She tried to go through the motions with him and thought of Sean the whole time. She opened her eyes and looked at Kiran. She felt guilty for liking him, guilty for not having to fake her orgasm, and she tried to picture Sean’s face in her mind. She failed miserably, and her heart pounded as much as Kiran pounded into her.
Afterwards, she stood up quickly and put the coat on as she felt her magic start to dwindle, but as she got onto the elevator, she smiled broadly. She could feel something different and she knew, this time, that little stick would be positive and she would be pregnant.
She was so confident of this fact as she drove back to the cabin that she phoned Sean and told him that she was coming home. She looked in the rearview mirror and she looked like herself again. As soon as she stopped in front of the cabin, she booked a flight home, and packed her suitcase.
